- This Local Speed exhibition features intimate versions of well-known prints by master printmakers such as Jules Chéret, Henrí Toulouse-Lautrec, and others, displaying the dazzling heights of the French poster. Rarely shown, the prints were donated to the Speed in 1949 as a gift from the French Gratitude Train-49 boxcars filled with gifts sent to Americans in appreciation for supplies given to France and Italy following World War II.

This is such a great video thank you! I have been a fan of Jules Cheret since I first saw his color lithographs.
Terrifically done - I'm a graphic designer and I once managed Colletti Gallery in Chicago and it's a joy to see this.
beautiful art and design and i love the story of the boxcars. i envy my father for growing up in those times just after the war when it seems like so much of the world got along and had a new found respect for each other and my own beautiful country was full of growth and advancement, and patriotism and respect for each other.
Everything about this exhibition is beautiful, from the art to the way the art got there. Love the explanation of color litho too.
SUPER ASTHONISHED LAUTREC S POSTERS; A GREAT INNOVATION.
Thank you
You're welcome

Lfs 👌🏼
A good productio EXCEPT . . . a propper full length still shot of each poster necessary other wise the good work is for nothing.
Commit to a proper presentation and do the art justice. T
