Hungry Ghosts also known as Preta, Gaki, Yidak, and Jikininki are starving, bloated, undead spirits who are released from the gates of hell during the Hungry Ghost festivals (Chinese/Vietnamese Day of the Dead) to feast upon whatever offerings they can find. They are known to eat everything including garbage, dead bodies, and even 💩. They are found in Chinese, Japanese, Himalayan, Indian, Thai, Mongolian, and Vietnamese mythology. They're sizes tend to vary depending on the myth. Some are around the size of children or a full grown adult to sometimes being as large as an elephant. Theres over 36 different types of hungry ghosts, each with unique features depending on their sins. This includes fire breathing like Dragons, sharp teeth, rotting skin, flaky hair, and foul oders. When they were alive, they were greedy and selfish people who became cursed and punished in the afterlife for their sins as deformed spirits with constant starvation and dehydration. Their temperatures are so high that sometimes food burns too quickly for them to eat. They also drink blood like vampires. Much like zombies, they are known to prey on humans.🍖 👻🍗💀🥩
Gedo is possibly the embodiment of horror in fighting games. Despite of his "goofy" old man look, that preta (or gaki) is a literal freak that preys on live beings. And to that, I wish he returns in future Samurai Shodown games.

Kusaregedo and Gen-An (the green hunchback with the Freddy Kruger claws) are my favorite Samurai Shodown fighters in the entire series and I would love to see this Attack on Titan/Evil Dead reject return in a future game. That way I can trash and make players piss their pants with their worst nightmare.
Samurai shodown is very underrated and underappreciated franchise And It makes me trully sad The series execution on the 18th century is very well and that made the charm and style to the series very beautiful with the easy, punishable and the unique gameplay of the franchise It's a hidden gem on one of the most niche genres of all time And well that's why it's not popular with the help of the fucked up netcode of VII / 2019 I really hope that SamSho VIII will have a good netcode
Not just the netcode which thank God they're fixing but also more than half of the cast didn't return. Instead, we got mediocre guest fighters such as The Warden from For Honor and some slutty rabbit waifu from a Chinese mobile phone rip-off of League of Legends.
In SS4, you can kill the dog. When Galford order the dog to attack, it will become projectile, other character can counter by releasing their own projectile (like 2 Hadoken blast at each other). After a few times, the dog will die. Im not sure if the dog will revive in next round. But it revive in next match. Im not sure if this still work in SS5 and later.
