- Aston Villa are close to selling Douglas Luiz to Juventus for €25 million, plus Enzo Barrenechea and Samuel Iling-Junior, media reports suggest.
U.S. player Weston McKennie was originally lined-up to move to B6. But that appears to have fallen through, and now Argentinian midfielder Barrenechea has taken his place, according to reports.

The American guy has been found out he is a potential problem .
Barrenechea is good player is a classic "regista" he is good to recovering balls and passing, he is very calm when he has the ball, he is good at taking penalties and good at shooting from outside the area(scored in Juventus under 23). He has a big problem: he gets too many yellow cards and makes a lot of fouls. He has personality his debut was in a derby against Turin club as starter 😮.

I don’t want any player that isn’t committed to my club. McKennie has shown the footballing world what he is about. I’m sure there are some clubs out there who will take him and pay him what he thinks he’s worth but Villa have dodged a bullet for sure.
Yeah, it sounds like McKennie wouldn’t have been happy with how he left Juventus & it’s not really worth having that around the Villa squad. UTV!
To be honest, and not really knowing the individuals, I'm far more keen on Barrenechea than McKennie: he seems to better fit our needs at CDM; he seems to have lots of potential; and I'm also dead keen on Argentinian players in general (cf. Martinez, Buendia) since they seem in general to fit in really well to the British style of football, and are real fighters. Think they find it easier, overall, than other South Americans, including Brazilians. Sorry, just my impression.
Yeah, I’m also a big fan of footballers who’ve come through Argentina. Also agree that Enzo Barrenechea fits our needs a bit more. Let’s see how he develops. Might need to be patient. UTV!

Any player under Unai will do a "job" perfectly with all the meetings and video analytics. Look at Rodgers. So dont worry - Unai will work on them and play them when they are ready. Im sure Mings, Buendia, and Kamara have watched more videos and meetings than anyone - cant wait to see them fit in.

Weston was found out in the Prem with Leeds. Maybe he priced himself out on purpose? Barranchea looks like he has a higher ceiling than Mckennie anyway. I'm excited to see what Unai can do with these two. Barranchea looks like more of a Kamara type player and will need someone next to him to create.
