Crowd control is a thing where people spend money or I believe channel points to redeem for crowd control coins (I'm not to sure on the payment part) for some sort of effect like for example in Tom's Starfox crowd control people could pay to make him do a barrel roll or in Stephen's Skyrim crowd control recently people would pay to launch him. There's a lot more effects but it depends on the game.
You know, it took a couple minutes after posting this and watching the effects of crowd control for me to realize how redundant my question was 😂 but thanks anyway for being informative!
Ngl, Gen 9 has the weakest starters, fricking fight me. I went with the duck mainly because the other options I liked less(and yeeted it into the box as soon as I had a full team and only brought it out for the fire base because none of my friends had good water type pokemon I could name them after(effectively only naming them as such for a Pokemon they had a chatacter of like naming a Goomy after my friend Noah(who had a Goodra character, and the one reason I actually beat that stupid cat(fricking those auto crits))).

I like that the crash at the beginning was accompanied by the low-heart pot shattering sound effect. Like the game was producing its own crash noise
