They are giving you the feel of playing the role of all different types of protagonist.. If you want to be a pirate you can if you want to be a native american or spartan warrior you can but at the same time you are time traveling as a assassin. There is nothing wrong with it. They are very unique and awesome games. If you do not like the future games stick to playing the older ones while the rest of us check out the views and adventures of many different protagonist.

I'm skeptical because the creators seem to hate Christianity.
Odyssey was a love letter to Greek history, Mirage was a love letter to Islam and holds Allah in high regard, but Valhalla just mocked all of the Christians.
The NPCs would shout, "God will save me," as you kill them, and it constantly paints Christians as evil or dumb while all other groups get nothing but love and respect.
Yeah, as a Christian myself, I’ve noticed the same trend. While I find it annoying, it doesn’t surprise because Jesus says
"If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." John 15:19
I mean, historically speaking, there's a lot to hate about the church. Jesus said some cool shit. People killed, tortured, raped, pillaged, and destroyed knowledge in his name. I can understand some disdain for the institution.
That said, you could make that argument about a lot of religions. Christianity isn't particularly special in that regard, just exceptionally successful.

But anyone who knows what they're talking about will tell you that people who have killed, tortured, raped, pillaged and destroyed in God's name are all misleaded. Just because people claim to be Christians doesnt't mean they are, this is where the majority of Atheists are mistaken.

I always love the stuff you cover and you get good info, do what you love and make a living at the same time! Good for you brother. Anyways I’m super hype for this game! I believe there is a spiritual realm as well that may have been a little more dominant years and years ago but still lingers today we’ve just lost touch with it I believe. But I love AC games like this that bring past history to life and makes you expand your mind and become a little more open minded. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us with this one!

I have no issue with the supernatural elements of these games especially with time periods where it’s woven into the cultural lore. Hexe is gonna be fun 😁
Fear system is not new in AC. If you remember it started in AC Unity Dead Kings DLC and Syndicate Jack The Ripper DLC they added the fear system example if you kill the leader the others will scare away or use the fear-focused weapon and tools or brutal kills. i think AC Hexe is more on semi-horror fear system gameplay and stealth since the settings was during the Dark Medieval Age of Europe, dark cults and witch era. An assassin witch perhaps.

The 2nd point is that there must be confusion between the chronic eras you describe because Charlemagne has nothing to do with the witch hunts of the 16th and 17th century, because he lived back in 814AD. So either Hexe is taking place on the 9th or on the 16th century it can't be in both unless Elsa comes with a time travel machine as well.
If Ubisoft wants to waste such a huge map of the Roman Empire for a very small game as you describe then I hope Ubi makes us a favour and hand the Assassin's Creed IP to CDPR , they will know exactly what to do with the narrative and the locations to save the franchise from a disaster!
PS the Franks did not form the centric Europe and I am 100% sure that there will be no mention about Jesus and his apostles in this game.

I said that when I bought valhalla, didnt like it at all, but with the free trial of Mirage I decide to try it, I had 0 expectation, and after I played the 2 hours, ngl it was interesting, better than valhalla hell yeah, but the combat is still bad ✌

If Elsa is the scary character in this game then I'm invested in it. Assassins are efficient and stoic characters that can inflict fear on their prey. This is something that we have seen before in this series in both the narrative and the gameplay, so if they're going to build on that then good.

I’m excited for assassins creed Hexe but to be honest I dont mind playing as a female but I was wishing we weren’t playing as a witch it would have been cool if we were playing as assassin hunting a group of templars who were using the peice of eden to pretend to be witches or were using the peice of eden to accuse other innocent women of being witches we could have even played as a female witch hunter

"Much more linear game" - Yes, please. Ubisoft can do really good games, they just need to ditch the open world formula.
A games like Origins/Odyssey with the open world look full of activities at first glance, but all the side missions there was not unique and just repetative and bored with a time. And what worse - you can't just play a story line because every next chapter require you level up that means go to side missions. Unique and interesting side missions are there too but I can count it on fingers of one hand.
