I lived with a drag queen when I was a little girl. She was friends with our family, as a man, handsome and gorgeous. As a woman, well- six ft three, very feminine fifties negligees. She taught me to dress like a lady, how to apply makeup and not look like a teenaged tart. She had class and style. When I accidentally cut myself, it wasn't my moms door I knocked on. It was hers. She cursed me out for waking her up then saw me, yanked me in the door and helped me. Sent me off to school scolding me. I don't see drag queens as weird, or a certain type or gender or sexuality. They are people like you. They love, they have pain and hardship and triumph. They deserve rights.
