😎
I thought it was awful and reminds me of "the emperor's new clothes", when in actual fact he's naked but everyone says his clothes are magnificent. These were not either. I know few women who want to wear slogans or who want to look sporty when they really want feminine glamour. The androgenous look is not glamorous or appealing.
I smiled ear to ear the entire watch (part 1&2)! What a fantastic documentary and story to be shown/told!
I’m getting so old! I miss the elegance of yesterdays Dior. I love seeing models with facial expressions
And I’m SO upset that Dior discontinued their Airflash foundations!!!! I’ve used it for years on my clients, now it is no more 😢
This is the opposite of Dior's aspirations and views of women, this is very sad! It doesn't show respect to his name.... what a strange time we live in!
Talk about a contradiction in terms. The new (female) head designer of DIOR is all about feminism and then talks about wanting women to look boyish? What the heck is she talking about?
Change is not always accepted. She is representing the new, and younger female self-image. The owner even said - her collection represented the Dior concept. I totally loved it and I'm 73!
@@magi4z280 Absolutely agree. And while she's bringing Dior into some new times, she shows in her designs that she has definitely not forgotten him.
you are soooo right! No elegance, no style - nothing. very sad.
It seems that elegant Dior died together with Mr Dior...
Maria's daughter looks bored. The skinny models, the dresses, the audience, it's a rehashing of the old shows. Why???
They need to look "BORED", even if they aren't 😏- they wouldn't let it show. Bored is cool these days 🤷🏼♀️.
“ We should all be feminists “ T shirt is such an dumb thing that is pushed on us every single day ,it’s insulting our intelligence. We should resist this kind of CRAP
Totally agree. C.Dior would turn in his grave :( Feminism is so woke and masculine, but Dior is about feminity. They screw up this time.
I mean technically we should all be feminists, but i feel like these type of slogans on t-shirts are so over done and look cheap, like something you’d buy at h&m.
I liked her work for Valentino but she do terrible job at Dior. The fact that she is first female desiger at Dior protect her from any kind of criticism. Using feminism slogan is really idiotic. As far her biggest achivement is ¨creation¨ of silly tshirt that anyone can generate online. Why dont we see that feminism on her shows? Creating more inclusive catwalks? More plus size models? There are never any. It is also important to mension how she destroyed frenchness of the house. Shows are everything but not ¨France¨, she is italian and have italian taste. Me and most of people knowing something about fashion, fashion history and Dior heritage are witing for her to be gone. :D
6:13 Yeah... I'm not taking fashion advice from someone who walks around looking like that
They are ridiculous sometimes
I miss a certain air of elegance from Dior of today... sad.
I’m not a fan of the sheer skirt…I miss the Dior look of the full skirt with crinoline that made women look like women. The hats were fabulous!
I cannot stand their bags. I haven’t found anything that is spectacular about her. Can’t wait until they find a new creative direction. I won’t be purchasing any more from DIOR until they do.
This documentary has been very interesting to watch!
I belong to the group of women who use makeup and perfumes by Dior - however, as a 60 year old university hospital doctor in full time employment, the clothes are beyond my financial reach and not suitable for my lifestyle. I need clothes that I can ride my bicycle with and that I can throw in the washing machine because I am a commuter on public transport, I don’t attend posh social events… In short, I doubt vey much that the target consumer is the working woman (as made out in this documentary) - I suspect that most of Dior’s customers are millionaire heiresses or wives of very rich husbands with lots of time on their hands!
yes it was quite odd to hear her say 'the women need to be able to work and deal with their children.' Does not sound likely.
Billionaires
Pretty much....it's written on all their faces....FLOP !
...and to the lady who said the new look wouldn't be fresh today ? No taste ! If this house actually did a ready-to-wear line of Dior's first line it would be an instant sell out ! What today needs, and nobody is doing it, is classic, timeless beauty ! not t-shirts with political messages from the 80's. Speaking of the 80's....Cindy Lauper's inspirational look would be better than this !
To me it does not spell Dior. It lacks beauty 🎉 and imagination.
And it's horribly constructed.
Go polish your English grammar.
totally agree
true
Fashion industry and designers are all manipulating consumers for money esp. women. Why not?
🤷♀️.
Even the sketches….no elegance or refinement
The new show is for younger street smart people. Not older woman who can afford it
I'm continuing on it seems like they always are very drab in the way they dress always black and white or mostly black. It would be refreshing to see I want of the women designers really wear what they design and love what they design or what they designed for themselves that not always being something in black or white
each decade seems to see a loss of creativity, with a few exceptions, it's areal back slapping event for the rich. sad.
Trying to make a brand "current" by dressing rich women like they shop at H+M is ludicrous.
it is not DIOR, she make cloth like it is her brand
John Galliano please . She does not know wtf she is doing nothing is Dior in that collection
The ruination of Dior!
(They) always ruin everything.
I love Olivia Coleman narrating these videos , she has a great voice wish more people who use these videos use someone like her instead of the voices who can’t even pronounce their words . Bravo Olivia ,🥰
The seamstresses are awesome with their humor
I love it! It is indeed very fresh and modern.
There is one thing I don't understand about the designers. Why don't they utilize their own to wear.
39:18 It's Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the Nigerian writer, author of " We should all be feminist" ; a sentence you can read on some of the TShirts from Diors collection ( 43:30 ).
She tries so hard but she’ll never win a Nobel Prize for Literature
I want one of those tees
Yes! The comments always " forget" black ( beautiful) people 😢 Chimamanda 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️♀️❤️♀️❤️🇧🇷🚩🇵🇸🍉
@@beyourself2444we try to change all this massing world ✊🏾
Fantastic documentary. Love Dior!
If there was not written DIOR on that garbage it could be from a Red Cross donation bag, ugly, unwareable and looking cheap, where is all the DIOR elegance and the style gone ?
Looking at the thumbnail, Ceilin Dion comes to mind!
My God! Some people have too much money and don't live in the real world. Very interesting two part video into the haves and have nots.
It’s shat like they were in a straight jacket in a mental institution
MEINE MEINUNG!!!! Ich sehe, dass die elegante frau kurzhaaring ist.
The worst Designer Dior could pick.
She makes clothes for women who are 53 - but the models are 18 to 25 🤣 and that is exactly how they end up looking like on the shows: Young women dressed in old women's clothes 🤣
This is a disaster that even the legendary Guido cannot prevent from happening 🤣
If boredom was a woman and had a wardrobe it would be a Maria Crazia collection head to toe 🤣
Conservative, never playful or fun, irrelevant, reductive, dull color palette, frumpy cuts
...and the poor poor seamstresses and atelier team that has to make her work appear exciting is who I am sorry for the most.
When the seamstress said : "You have to be tall, skinny and have somewhere to wear it to" she made the point of the wearability of the collection invalid - with humor and ease!
The politics of fashion (including racism, aging people in positions of power and nepotism) are ruining the fun, creativity and innovation for generations to come.
What a mess!
Hey, loved your analysis!
A quick question would you be willing to experiment with a brand which isn't legacy or from a renowned luxury band?
Why does a feminist want to design clothes that look boyish and her vision for the makeup be masculine? She must admire men to be so focused on designing a look inspired by the male gender.
@@raisneh I won't purchase anything that prominently displays a designer label and no matter how wealthy I was, I'd never wear anything to give any company free advertising.
@firo u nailed it , ur comment is so true in all levels. Thank God there r other brands that r hiring and letting creative directors do there creative ways .
Ugh. Blabbing on about feminism and the “moral responsibility” of fashion designers. Then talking about equality with a fashion magazine editor from China. Eye-roll.
I agree. I detest the hypocrisy of it all and I can't stand this fake 'feminist' rubbish because we are strong, not perpetual victims.
Oh yes, because we all want to pay a fortune to emulate the inspiration of Maria Grazia’s daughter. 🙄 She designs for Dior, not her daughter.
😂😂😂😂 tu est faut
Dior is turning in massive 3X annual revenues ever since. Go figure. ❤ Her direction is phenomenal.

Missed the mark. Did not capture the essence of Dior. However not bad fashion but not Dior.
How odd our world is, creating exclusivity to elevate interest, which elevates exclusivity. I'm bored with all of it and even if I had the money, I would not buy this perfume.
Keeping the brow more masculine. No wonder I’ve hated the trending eyebrow.
Masculine makeup and the "boyish" looks is her vision for women? How empowering, lol!
Let's have an end to couture. It's garish.
Give me comfortable clothes and colorful colors
Dior must be rolling on his grave. His company is like soap bar (passing from hand to hand) never getting into his true old roots ever again.
Why this woman gets her own name on her creations that HAS NOTHING to do with Dior character and tradition. It was a mix of Chanel with all the old designs. Not a star for me, just a COPYCAT.
I like the fact shes personable and says thank you 🙃
Dior is personable!
I’m sure up close the tailoring is immaculate and the fabrics are of the highest quality but from a distance it looks cheap. Like things found in a Hot Topics shop or even a Walmart.
I think with the heavy eye makeup Maria would look better with a rich coloured lipstick 💄 She looks washed out 🤭
The twins! Omg! They are beautiful! I can see Mae looking stunning with the shaved head, but I think she is adorable rocking the boy cut!
Theyre trying really their hardest hard to admire this meh collection arent they?
Some of those girls were so thin that they looked sickly.
There is a huge difference between thin and emaciated
Can't believe you ranked Tiffany higher than Graff! Tiffany is a much more mass brand selling everything from sunglasses and scarves to keychains and pens. LVMH purchased the brand to try and elevate its status but it's far behind.
Jadore is a very nice scent, not everybody can wear Dior, but can smell like Dior
Christian Dior doit se retourner dans sa tombe.... plus aucun respect ni continuité avec son oeuvre, tout l'opposé de ses idéaux.... son nom est sali!
i like the story about the make . The easiest think in the world presented as the most complicated look ever. this is what fashion is. Tell a story.
When you can design looks that are gorgeous on ALL body shapes THEN you're a genius/artist
Did you get Olivia Colman to narrate this? I love it
So boring ! Please bring John Galliano back
😮😮😮😮. I loved it 😍
Thank goodness we have a female designer with impeccable tailoring and quality!!!
In Parfums today nothing natural
A great honor for the citizens ( like me) and of course the city of LECCE . 🌹❤️🇮🇹
ma quale? La gente poverina italiana? Bacione a Lecce! Mi manca le spiagge 🎉
The interviewer should've been praising the great work of the women in the creation area instead of asking them if they'd wear it & having a stupid chuckle over it.
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome 👌 👏 ❤
This was wonderful to watch. Thank you so much for posting!
Great documentary parts 1 and 2 thankyou.
I love these documentaries. I just wished the commentator would learn to pronounce things properly. Oat Couture it is not..... And Maria Grazia is mispronounced too. But I am wasting my time even commenting......./
Oh shut up ,unintelligent person
I became a Dior fan because of the chance it gave Depp in that wonderful commercial with the wolves. Congratulations to Dior
Yes! I loved them even more!
The Make-up artist seems disappointed and bored 😂
Too many commercials. Super annoying
Is it just me or it sounds like Olivia Colman narrating this?
She is indeed👍🏻
Awful awful of all Dior ! Get a new designer! This woman’s creations thumbs down
Maria has Celine Dion’s features!
I thought the same thing the moment I saw her! 😊🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦
Oh! That's who! I thought "Who does she remind me of", lol!
Tôi rất thích thương hiệu này
The models in Dior are pillars of chic. BRAVO.❤
What type of roses do they grow to make rose essence?
Various once primarily Rosa Centifolia ( eg May rose) or Rosa Damascena
Love this documentary! ❤
Love the hats
As a 40 year old woman, I’d rather not have teen girls model clothes that are realistically meant for women my age. To tell 20 year old girls they are aging out was kind of disgusting I thought
I love Maria's version of Dior. The storytelling and wearability are marvelous.
I agree! Without hats there is no civilization. 🤠

Boring Dior🙁
That some profound photograph Eiffel Tower was breathing taking
The fashion I did not like where you wear these clothes. To school to grocery store to gym where?
Awesome about perfume oils
she transformed Dior into Valentino
1) To those who do not recognize Dior in Grazia's first collection, I ll say to check your date of birth then perhaps your limited culture. She just brought Dior's back. Finally!! Hopefully, those punks at Dior for the last 25 years are gone for good!
2. For those fashion finicky, stating how upset or bore they are and declare will not buy Dior again after this show:
A global, influencual brand collection is judged as to like and dislike only 30 to 60 days after. It is about the iterations in the stores and how the collection influence global woman. How it is recreated by those who cannot afford the Dior boutique price tags and how small, medium and large fashion company interprete, integrate or simply copy the collection in more affirdable iterations.
That the designer gauging parametrer is not if you or I want to wear the particular dress she has presented. It is not made to wear. It is couture!!!!!!
Couture is the idea of a creative director about the brand . The brand, in turn, sales lipstic, bags and parfumes for the masses and jewelery shoes to tye well off.
3. The last parameter become the balance sheet sometime around December- January when financial statement will tell tge story of Maria's collection. Those are the only meaningfull comments to Arnauld and his investors.
No reason to be insulting anyone’s age or culture. We all have different opinions, and that doesn’t make me wrong or old or uncultured.
That red outfit tho 42:47 🔥
Truth, however she skirted the question.🤔
The journalist repeated 'so its a secret' (about the perfume) perhaps 3000 times... that's enough only to make 1 litre of the perfume....
I've noticed something interesting: when I see wealthy men, they often have a typical, expected appearance. However, with wealthy women, many seem to carry a hard, unwelcoming demeanour that suggests they look down on others and consider themselves superior. Honestly, it's not particularly attractive. They give off a rather standoffish vibe
OMG how pissed was Anna Wintour when she discovered the creeper CCTV footage of herself without her shades!!!
LMFAO - OH THE HORROR
How Chimamanda the OG Feminist was ignored by the presenter 🙄🙄
Nice, wearable collection. They can make money on the collection and women will be able to wear pieces for years - esp separates with skirts but virtually everything was timeless. Not an easy process putting that show together.
There is something in my own body of chemicals, aka hormones , that repeals the rose scent. On my skin, the smell scent is awful.😢
“Outside the Rodin museum, the rich, the thin and the fashionably face-lifted. Assemble for the hottest show of fashion week”
What Maria Grazia presentented is not Dior, there is no glam no richness, no elegance, no inovation her interpretation looks cheep and boring totally the opposite of the legacy of the house. Hope she changed these days.
17:05 agree 💯
I have to _love_ a scent before I can wear it.
It’s crazy how they are stealing urban hair without giving them credit. And I love Dior so don’t think I’m being a hater.
They make gorgeous and poetical dresses, but they selves don't dress beautifully. It seems they make dreams for us
Not ONE black model in the whole show! That’s unacceptable 😢
