Boss, i just watched the Osihmen rant. You were spot on about a local coach handling the Super Eagles. I am eagerly waiting for you take. I shall wait patiently for it
Accurate. Speaking from experience not just hearsay. There’s something he pointed out with regards to administration. School doesn’t teach taking initiative or creativity. Ex-footballers are in the best position to pinpoint the right pitches to use.
Excellent words from Akpoborie. The problem here is that people have very narrow thinking. There are so many areas that ex-footballers can be put to use, relative to their post-playing qualifications and skills. Not every great footballer has the skill to be a coach or NFF member, but if you do proper assessment you will still find a good job for him or her. Jonathan is totally on point here.
I don't completely I agree with Joe, how many of Nigerian ex footballers trained to get any other skills outside football! Benjamin James might have trained/studied to be a pitch management specialist/professional. He most have gotten some qualifications to get that job.
His position is based on the premise that they would get the training, he's trying to point the ex internationals to other opportunities in the system apart from coaching and administration.
I’ll like to know when this Space is happening on Twitter so I can join in. Now here’s another angle, England earned around £400 million in shirt sales from Nike. For context Nigeria sold 3 million jerseys leading up to and after the 2018 World Cup. Nike typically pays between 40%~60% revenue to the FA and even to sports club. The Jersey was sold at $150 back then. That’s between $18 million to $28 million dollars in jersey sales only. Okay let’s even say NFF made only half of that. Every country publishes there’s. Why have they failed to audit their account and why are traditional mainstream media not asking questions? This amount will do a lot to football development. Nigeria has no business owing salaries or looking for sponsorship with $200 million sitting in their bank account. We should even pay footballers retirement benefits like England no matter how small. But what do I know. Who cares right? Abeg wetin be the space again ja re.
When someone who understands how to system work speak you gat to agree 💯. Joe speak and I'm impressed 👍
❤❤❤
Let him finish. He's speaking from a place of knowledge

Because when we do the long ones, you people say it's too long and it doesn't get the needed views and engagement
He is pretty much saying there are other jobs ex players can do apart from admin and coaching jobs. Grounds manager is a big job o.

The Twitter Space is on right now, thank you for your beautiful education
Unfortunately, Nike didn't give Nigeria a dime from sales proceeds.
Making a lot of sense
He's speaking a very uncomfortable language for Nigerian ex footballers
