i don't know why but il really love the "DONT" side !!
Though it looked strange in the beginning, but once she blended it, the 'wrong' side looked so right still :-D Is it only me who thought that way???
I thought that too at first--but I noticed that the 'don't' side is more red in general
Yeah when she apply the red there, she looks good than the other side. :o do you agree with me??
And it takes a lot of work to blend out as well.
Look her complexion change in the don't side it's a bit orange undertoned
That's cause it barely makes a difference , she hardly needs color correction just foundation, imo
that colour wheel is totally incorrect.. is there a different colour wheel for makeup or something that i dont know about? i'm an art student and looking at that graph is like hurting my soul because the opposite of purple is NOT green it's yellow. also why are there two greens? ridiculous.
renae I caught that too. It doesn't make much sense. I already know how to color correct, but I still like watching videos on it. The wheel she used hurt every part of my being
She used the wrong wheel the correct one has more colors in it
Hey its about concealing at color correcting any discoloration in our skin its not about painting a white canvas
@@karlsalazar2086 right
There are two greens because the lighter green is for fair skinned people and dark green is for deeper tones, that's so obvious!
Should have used same colour correcting products on 'Dos' side
She couldn't because that's the whole point. The right side (Don't side) are more pigmented colors or are the wrong color, that was one of the very first "Don'ts" Don't use a color you don't need. She doesn't need that dark of a red because she ahs a light complexion so she used the peachy/salmon color under her eyes instead.
But she didnt use any colors on the "correct" side just peach which looked like a light concealer
Awesome, though ur dont side looks good too
So true 😂
There is some difference as she said though
@Dario Moises where do you live?
@Dario Moises buy local makeup products, they have to be cheaper
Though it may not be good for your skin colour, creating a triangular orange base is actually very correcting for under eye circle ms and sunken in eyes
I have looked at so many color correction videos and by far this is the best.I understand much better now.
Thank you for saying correct, don't conceal! I just lit up a lightbulb in my head. I seem to have been concealing with the color correctors 😂 and thank you also for suggesting the body shop darkening drops for contour. I used it today and I love it and so affordable!
I can't tell the difference. both sides look the same.
same here. I was hoping it wasn't just me lol
She's using a portrait lens on the camera (notice out of focus on background even though it's relatively close). Most modern cameras and camcorders has a soft skin auto mode with portrait which is a bummer for videos like this.
Bumble Bee is dbll
aishah abdelnoor You're dumb if you think lighting doesn't make a difference
aishah abdelnoor actually, lighting affects it highly 😂 learn common photography knowledge
Is it bad that I can't see a difference?
The best thing about your videos is that they are precise and succinct. You know what you are talking about and don't bore with unnecessary details. Even if I never plan to use any make over, I still enjoy and follow your work, just because I love to see a pro at her best. Best wishes and looking forward to your next video.
For the color green I love the correcting concealer Eva Garden by Paolo Guatelli. When you put it on it’s a greenish color but when you blend it in it becomes more of a beige. So you don’t notice it at all underneath foundation and it covers up the redness in my face perfectly :-) Great product
You should make your own makeup line
Who else agrees

Meeee🙏🏼
yessssss!😃
yeahhhhh
This video made me realize that I have been color correcting wrong this whole time. Thank you so much Kaushal! ❤️❤️❤️
YESSS! Sooooo glad that you have done this video! I see soooo much crap lately on instagram where girls put a bright green and firery red unter the eyes, than have a hard time blending this and because of that put a huuuuge amount of full coverage foundation on top. That doesn't even make sense! Thank you so much for this video!! Love you
Omg!! This tutorial is so frickin' useful! That colour wheel did it for me :) Thank you
Thanks for sharing! I want to try the orange 💕
Hello everyone please check out my channel im a new RUclipsr and please subscribe like and comment:)) Thanks and u are a very good youtuber

Yessss pls!!!!
thank you for making this video! I believe color correcting is very useful in a daily makeup routine, but there are so many things that can go wrong. This video helped a lot!
I'm a big fan of the NYX colour correctors! They do such an amazing job on my rosacea affected cheeks!
Whoa this video was super helpful the editing was amazing, you should make this a series like for contouring etc
I've been color correcting completely wrong 😂 thank you for making this video!
You’re so helpful! I have hyper pigmentation around my mouth and have to use corrected and always looks so gray
I love how clean your videos are!!!
your makeup tips are the most genuine and helpful!
it is
Exactly
Look Gorgeous
Finally someone who explains this in a great way!! Thank you thank you thank you
i agree I'm in makeup school now so i've LEARNED ALOT
This just saved my life...I am somewhat light skinned and could not figure out why I could see this ORANGE corrector under my powder...I should be using a peachy color...I actually blended some of my concealer with my orange corrector and used my fingers and it sealed the deal! Thanks for also saying correcting vs concealing...I was literally trying to conceal vs correct. Your method works like a charm...I just subscribed! Thanks for sharing! 😍😍
This was SO helpful!! Thanks so much for the tips this truly helped me & taught me so much about colour correcting :) always learning new things on your channel ♡ love you, kaushal!
I always use my finger for color correcting. It works great like that. Great video kaush☺☺
Great video! 👍 Can you do a tutorial on this look with the color correcting? 💗
One of the best videos on color correcting! Even showing what to do is great, but the what not to do was even more helpful! Great job on video!
Do you recommend mac color corrector? And would should be shade if I have complexion same as you.
wow such an amzing tutorial
I have extremely dark under eye circles and I use la girl orange corrector and it works brilliantly, I use collection 2000 concealer on top and my dark circles vanish. The corrector costs around £3 on ebay and you only need a small amount. The best think about it is you don't need a high end concealer to cover your dark circles because the corrector does the work for you so just use your drugstore concealer
Cool! I'll get that then
Hey .. I don't really know what colour are my dark circles .. It's just deep and dark kinda brown .. So what colour do I need to use ?
You can use the la girl orange corrector just apply a little amount of it and you can build up coverage if you need more. I prefer the colour orange because the colour peach didn't work for me but everyone's different.
Vanditha Pai If your dark circles have more of a blueish tint to them, you would use an orange color corrector. However, if you had more purple based dark circles, you would use a yellow color corrector. But, I've noticed for most people, if your skin is darker, usually oranges work better to conceal under the eyes. (:
OMG YAAY!! I wanted to see a video on this for so long! Thanks Kaush xx
omg i love your makeup at the start of the video are you able to do a tutorial on it?!
i am soooo inlove with it xx ily
love this! I can not be without my corrector, I swear my makeup does not look right without it!
Hey! Thank you :)
Hi
Ahhh I missed when you used to do the whole thing of 'Hi My Angels' at the start of every video, it's not in all videos anymore😞.
Is it okay if I use MUA's colour correctors? and would it be fine after bouncing the beauty blender on my skin, to just go over it with a brush but only afterr, I use the dupe for the Artiste brushes as they make my foundation look like skin compared to the beauty blender. Thank you for the help xxxx
how would i go about correcting with like olive and more "whiter" patched skin, up close around 6 - 8 feet my sking has areas with olive here and white there. and how can i determin my shape too. thank you for such wonderful and honest advice :)
What was the final layer you applied? ie; what foundation do you use? It seems to cover so well!
probably powder
I like to set my correctors with a translucent powder before foundation or concealer so that the colour doesnt mix in with it xo
But then you're putting liquids over powders........
That's what I used to do too--but I try blending the color corrector very well before using foundation so it mix:)
remember this rule that I learned in makeup school. cream to cream powder to power. you're supposed to use your cream with your cream product and your power after. you will not get all cakey.
Yes its a technique from waynee goss,
+Pavleen Bajw its actually a technique to apply powder after moisturiser and primer to fill in the open pores and then apply foundation, its guves a flawaless poreleas application 😊😊😘😘
Hi what Nyx, Becca and MUA corrector you recommend?? I'm sick of the orange colour corrector😞😃 thanks
omg can you do a tutorial on the makeup you're wearing???!!! i love it sm
My best way to spend my Sunday.. Sit and watch the beautiful Kaushal ❤️
same
Seriously, it's the best!
me tooo
Who all want updated hair care routine ❤️ btw I love you kaushal 😘😘😘😘
Great video as always, but it would have been super helpful if you used the more pigmented colour correctors (orange, green) for the DO side so we could see the way it is supposed to look, as some of us have darker undereye circles and want to use the more affordable NYX orange corrector as opposed to the YSL :)
Nice I had hard time knowing how muchprodu t to apply & blending it . Thank you this will help for sure
Your don't side is looking more natural and better
Lip color in this video please! Also eyeliner color too (if it isn't black lol, I can't quite tell in this video! 😂) 💖😍😘💄
Hi I love what you did with your lashes.what mascara did you use?do you also have on false lashes?if so what's the brand.thank you love this look want to give it a try.
Love this video so much really helpful and what shud I use to cover my acne bumps ??
Peach seems to work better for me than orange, even though I have darker skin. Orange always seems to peek thru my concealer and make my circles look worse.
Just wondering what foundation you've used? Your skin looks flawless! xx
I want to know too it looks amazing
+Kaushal Beauty Do you put foundation on top of the colour corrector? Also, can the foundation be light coverage or does it have to be heavy?
kaushal i have a qus... i skin is definitely a shade darker than your but i have the typical Indian...well in my case Bengali dark circles which means i have dark circles that are very dark brown in color. there is no hint of blue in there what so ever. i have been recently color correcting as my concealer becomes grey if i don't and i use the la girl pro concealer in orange. do you think i should change it up i have to admit i take very small amount and i do use a brush. i have also tried a peach corrector and it does nothing for those dark circles....
I feel like I like the don't side better lol
lol
Lessa Robinson me too lol 😂
same chanyeol same lol
Lessa Robinson i thought the same
Lessa Robinson exo l💓
You are so beautiful! 😭😭💕
Loved this vid
i agree
Did you use the same foundation on both sides? Also which product did you use?
Thank you
I LOVE YOU KAUSH! You're absoulutely amazing and in every video you look beautiful xo just spreading the love✨❤️
best colour correcting video on RUclips
Thank you so much, a few days ago I tried out my la girl green correcter, it is good but I applied too much and when blending in my foundation my skin was still green, and in a hurry I had to apply more foundation and I literally looked like a drag queen 😂😂✌🏾️
ive got like a darkness around my mouth and dark brownish dark circles. wat colour should i use for these areas
hey guys! so I have dark areas around my mouth (makes it look like I have a beard and mustache) and around my eyes...specially between the bridge of my nose, its not really a different color, its just dark. How should I color correct that? I usually just layer a ton of foundation over the spots but it looks really cakey and unnatural. Should I use lavender? PS. my dark circles are more red toned than blue or purple tones. thanks!
this was super helpfullllll!!
You're just gorgeous!i love you so much and its crazy😍😶 but please kaushal, can you do a makeup look that would go with a peach-golden lehenga and a hot pink-orange anarkali gown?Pleaaseeee!i've my sister's wedding coming up in july and I trust no one but you for my makeup😣 Everyone please thumbs up my comment so kaushal can notice it.please guys xo
She did a look with her golden saare, I guess that would go well for you. You can always switch up the lipsticks.
+Ashni Khandelwal but my lehenga has more of peach-orangish-golden tones in it!not sure if that would go with it :(
You could check it out. It more like neutral golden look, goes with almost every Indian outfit. Also, she does has more Indian outfit tut if that helps
She did an indian wedding get ready with me and follow me around vlog in which she wore peach n gold...do check it out
+anushka manoj watt really?i hv watched all of her vids.how come i never came across that one?Anyway thanku so much.will check it out xo
hey hi doll,@kaushal plz guide me 1 thing..i have ivory in la pro concealers, its is in pichy tone,so can dat be use to correct dark circles or dark spots for fair tone ppl??? like ur skin tone ??plz do reply.tia😊😍😍
super glad you did this video---I've worn Marykay and Sephora facial products for years now and always blend my under eye concealer with my ring finger---not ever gonna invest in all those facial brushes--although I got one for my mineral foundation and one for my bronzer--that's all that is truly needed---I use the ulta brand eye applicators ---which are only $1.19---- and my face stays flawless---you did an awesome video and you take the "unnecessary" steps out of the very simple ways to wear makeup----keep doing this girlfriend!!!
which foundation do you use?
your smile is soo beautiful
i am the same skin tone as you and i use the bright orange corrector but in a thin layer, is this ok? or should i change to a paler orange corrector?
I like your English, sounds so beautiful.
Your skin always looks so beaut!!
After watching your video, I realized all the mistakes I was making. Thank you so much for this. It really explains a lot
What colour could I use to cover scars?
I lived the way you made this video, but I'm not sure I understand the point of it. You wanted to tell us the dos and don'ts for color correcting, but then in does you didn't color correct at all?
*loved
+Dunj a i think she was just trying to say to only use what really need and not to use too much
+sophie johnsxn but she didn't use any color and she called it color correcting, that's what I'm trying to say.. I was expecting something different from this video, okay you shouldn't use too much of those correctors, but how much should you.. She didn't explain how you should correct, she just explained how you shouldn't
+Dunj a she did use color. When I color correct and work in thin layers, it almost just looks like my skin is smoothed and evened out as opposed to seeing a bunch of color pigment. When I use just regular concealer in those areas, like my red spots and dark circles, the color still peeks out underneath without the color correcting products
bloodtears&gold she DID use colour. She used a peach and green colour corrector on the DO’s side. Putting a bunch of bright colours that are way too dark for your skin will make your makeup very unnatural and cakey.
hey kaushal what mascara are u wearing?
+ srijita bhattacharya I'm sorry I know I'm not kaushal but I'm guessing she's wearing the loreal infallibale sculpt mascara because she wears it all the time as it's her favourite hope it helps xx
+Ukhti. Ifra hey that's so swt of u... thanku dear! And is it please me on her lips by any chance?
+srijita bhattacharya no problem lovely I'm sorry I'm not quite sure about the lipstick but she's been wearing a similar lip in her past few videos xxx
+Ukhti. Ifra yes swts.. might be. although I'm a new subscriber I do have noticed her love for 2/3 puppies for getting the desires clr.
she also uses lip liner by rimmel and Charlotte tilburry
+srijita bhattacharya please subscribe my channel, there will be a video up soon
i dont usually have to do much colour correcting. just a bit under my eyes and depending on what foundation I use (even if it's perfectly matching my skin tone) I find that my chin is left to be very grey and dull. what colour would you suggest I use???
I have redness/pinkness mixed in with my dark under-eye circles. I'm wondering if a peach (for my pale skin and to correct the purple) will only bring out the redness instead of correcting it?
Her beauty is actually indescribable
has anyone ever told you that you look like Lauren London?
could I color correct if I don't like to apply foundation in my everyday routine, or should I go with a normal concealer on my red nose and undereyes?
what do you suggest for light medium with yellow tone skin with dark circles. peach or orange corrector?
Finally you make me understand about color wheel!! Thank you 😄
too bad then that it's incorrect
What? No it isn't. Orange is opposite blue, yellow is opposite purple, green is opposite red. It's all there.
don't side actually looks better in my opinion
I feel that way too
I like the idea but for olive skin what brand what shade might work? I don't like to look orange
Greetings dear!! I wanted to ask my neck is a shade darker then my face and i have dark circles also so what colour corrector do you suggest i would go for...and also tell me that I like to lighten my face then neck looks more prominent ...so what can i do to make it balanced??? both neck and face
can we have cool kaushal classes plsssss?
wat say guys?
Yes !!
You should have done something where you use the same products on both sides you're telling us we need to buy expensive colour corrector a or beauty blenders and the less expensive versions aren't good. I use thicker concealers sand they work just as good you put them on in a jokey way by putting such thick layers on
+Codie Taylor I agree! She started off the video with the colour chart etc..making us think that the whole tutorial was about using different colours to correct. It turned out to be about advertising one expensive YSL corrector. You sold out to the big sharks Kaushal.
You used the Mua color corrector is it good ? Can u tell me some good color corrector options ?
hi . my uperlips protion is dark after foundation its looks green . plzzzzzzz tell me which colr corrector colr i use plzzzzzxxx
Drinking game: take a shot everytime she says color correcting
Ronie now we talking😂
I thought she said BILL NYE instead of BEN NYE
Bill Nye rocks!
Ohsnapizava I thought the same when I started watching Special Fx makeup videos.
What if I have powder foundation and have to use a buffing brush? Can I still use color corrector to help with my extremely red skin?
Very helpful thanks I hope you'll do a makeup tutorial for this look!
no offence but they both look the same
Please do a video on bronzers. Which bronzers are best for Indian skin tone, cool toned or warm toned? I'm having a hard time selecting a bronzer as they all look muddy on me!
Definitely one of the best videos on colour correcting, really informative X
this video needs to go viral. by far the best video on color correcting!
Which shade was the YSL corrector you used for your undereyes in the beginning?
