OMG, I was looking through the video list and saw this one was Severn years ago. WHERE THE HELL DID 7 YEARS GO!! I watched this one just after you posted it. I cannot believe I gave been watching you for 8 years...wow
Well, i can, bc Laura is timeless. 😊
As usual your tutorial is the best - I watched a dozen or so of these and like yours the best. Great teaching.
Well, late to the party! I just discovered these neat little holders! I chose your easy process..getting ready to make for Christmas gifts.. like you said, need one for every room!
Clear voice..no need to show sewing, and love no music.
Following you!!
I just saw your video yesterday and have made three of these fab stands already, they are so quick and easy to do. I shall be making some more for Christmas gifts for my granddaughters . Thank you so much.
I have made an iPad version of this for my dad, but hadn’t seen the concept of the weighted inner bag. That’s a great idea! I’ll be making some of these as gifts for Christmas. Thank you 😁👍
What dimensions did you use for your iPad version?
These are great! I've made several of them. When I add the pellets I put a bunch of them in a large bowl and then I hold the bag over the bowl and scoop the pellets in the bag with a measuring cup. So the pellets that miss the bag fall back into the bowl. Much easier than a funnel.
Hi Laura! I made 2 of these for the first time yesterday and I love them! Easy, quick and they work great! Can't wait to make them in lots of fun fabrics. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful video. Simple. Sweet. Clear. Clean. Time well spent watching you.
thanks
I've seen several videos for these, but yours is hands down the best! And your instructions are so easy to follow! Thank you so much! ❤
Yes I agree this is by far the best video
So clever, and quick and easy like you said. Thank You for sharing your Time and Your Talent with all of us.
Agreed yous was the best I have seen.
One idea I added, was a loop for charging cord. Also seen one as a pin cushion for sewing, as I watch alot you tube projects. Thank you, great clear voice video!
I really want to make one of these today! I’ve seen a couple tutorials on these, but yours is by far the best! I always enjoy your easy to follow tutorials. Thank you for another great one!
I have watched many videos making a similar product. This is by far the best one. It is easy and to the point. My granddaughters and I are goin to making some today.
Made my first one yesterday. Brilliant idea. And good for using oddments of of leftover fabric. Perfect for presents too!!
Once again, excellent tutorial! I made this phone pillow using the dimensions given and it's too small. I can really only use it when positioning my phone horizontally. Vertically my Samsung S8+ falls off. I made another and added 3" all the way around. My phone now rests on it beautifully no matter the orientation. I love that I can alter the size without compromising the design. Thank you!
I love it too. My phone lays horizontally great but is too heavy to sit upright. So I think I will make it a tad bigger and the pellets are great due to pests but seem to not be heavy enough. But I love the way Laura teaches!!!!!!!1
@CRAFTcrumbs: Yes, your Samsung must be bigger than Laura's. Mine, too, and heavier. So, ty for your comment--I was going to add an inch, but after reading yours, I think I'll add a couple more, just to be safe haha.
Awesome tutorial and very clear & easy instructions .
Great idea.
I love everything you have taught me but I love the phone pillow the most! You are great. Thank you for sharing these wonderful projects. I can't wait to share them with my Granddaughters.
+Judith Dembowski Thank you and thank YOU for watching
Wow! Thank you so much, Laura. This, and possibly a larger size for a reader, is now my choice for Christmas gifts. I was racking my brain to find something that I can multiples of (with different fabric chosen for each recipient) but that would be fast and easy. I like how these look like a million bucks but are quick and fun to do. I'm now considered the friend/relative who gives fun sewn gifts so the pressure is always on to give something practical yet really nice. You're a life-saver.-Carol S.
a bigger one is on my list :)
I'm looking forward to it.
Thank you for the great you tube clips you have done. They are very well done and easy to follow. Lots of great things to make in the coming weeks... thank you
Thank you and thank you for watching:)
Such a cute and great idea! These would make great little Christmas gifts for friends and family! Thanks for showing how to make these! :)
+dsnygrl4ever Your welcome and thanks for watching:)
How much fun is this ! I love your tutorials, I'm working on the cool hanger covers right now, and will make these when i'm finished with my hangers! you explain everything really well. Thank you so much !
Even before the video was finished the first time I watched I was already getting my fabric scraps out to make one. Delightful 😊😊😊
Thank you and Thank you for watching :)
Laura,
I have made several of these and they are wonderful. I often get recipes from my phone and so mine is stationed in the kitchen and is so handy for that, plus I always know where my phone is...thanks so much you are a genius.....
+Betty Lavigne lol I'm happy you like them:)
Fantastic I’ve just made 4. Thank you so much for clear simple instructions and brilliant ideas. 🙌🏻❤️
I've made 5 of these now. I find it works better for me if I sew a line 3 quarters of an inch away from the 2 inch line; the phone sits on the pillow better. Thanks for the video 🙂
You are correct. On the directions Laura did not say a rich on both lines which is needed BUT your 3/4" is much better. Laura was not clear as others questioned it too. Thanks! I am a bit late to this party but have plenty of time at home during "covid". Off I go .
I saw this and thought if I didn't have my High Heel shoe for my phone, this would be my next choice. Thanks for all your project ideas.
You are a fantastic tutor, I’m just about to make some of your wonderful phone pillows, really looking forward to it. Thank you for keeping the video on RUclips 🧵😀
I knew you would have the best way to do it :) thanks- have made quite a few of your tied caps- my daughter uses them a lot.
Thank You for the fun project. I made 3 tonight. Used rice because is what I had. Plan to make some more withthe pellets. Love your many videos!
Love this! And a great way to use up little fabric leftovers too!
Oh yes it is, now you can buy more:)
wonderful tutorial, thank you. I will be making a few with my grandson's help. My daughter is a cake decorator and uses her phone to refer to and this will be so much better for her than leaving the phone lying flat. Can't wait to make some. Also will try to increase the measurements to make one for my tablet to use in the caravan while on holidays.
Wouldn't it be fun if you could find fabric with cakes on it:) Have fun!
Great pattern, very clear and easy directions to follow.
Such a nice lady and the rest. All the blessings for you.
My favorite cell phone pattern to follow. So easy. Thank you
This is a fab idea and Ive just made one. I think I'll make a couple more to keep round the house. Thank you for these!!!! You have great tutorials!
+Coasterdude02149 Thanks I'm glad you are enjoying the videos:)
The explanation is clear and concise. Perfect tutorial and one of the nicest patterns I've seen. Very much appreciated. L o v e your hair. I also let my grey out and I've received more compliments than when I use to color and highlight. Be well.
I was looking for a last minute gift for my co-workers and this is perfect! I am making 4 tonight! Thanks for this wonderful useful project! I hope to make one for myself.
+Kerri2667 Merry Christmas:)
Thank you Laura , made 2 and waiting for little stuffing balls to arrive .
Thank you Laura. I too made mine an inch wider and also added 1/2 inch for a larger seam allowance on the stand and the top. It made it easier for me to close those seams. I also added a light weight interfacing to the fabric. I too have made them for Christmas gifts this year. Wonderful clear instructions as always.
Thank you so much for this very useful and easy to make pillow! I see lots of little Christmas gifts for all my grandkids!!
Thanks for your
Phone Pillow idea!
This will be my next
project!
Im new subscriber! But..i feel like I've known you forever!
Laura I'm going to get "Seashell" booklet as well!
I have a Janome Workhorse machine.
And im saving for a serger! I do quilting projects...Mostly table runners. I have limitations with my left hand/arm. But i don't let that slow me down!
Best wishes
Bonnie Ohio 😊
Love this project. Will be making some for gifts. Thanks for all your instructions and ideas.
thanks:)
I double the sizes and did one for my Ipad. Thank you Laura.
+TuSitios Thanks for letting me know, I will have to give it a try:)
My grandson needs an iPad stand/pillow just like this one but I don't want to make mistakes on costly novelty fabric while trying to make the pattern larger. Laura, do have a tutorial for one? I love your teaching style. Thanks!
These phone pillows were such a hit with my friends for Christmas this year. I took your advice and made several for myself. One, I made one of those cute little funky chickens that you see online of this similar shape. I've been requested to make some for tablets, iPads and cookbooks. I have to figure out what I want to add to keep your place while using it for recipe books.
One improvement I made was to sew a buttonhole in the little space between the pillow part and the front smaller pillow. It is easiest to add the buttonhole before you stuff the front pillow. Result: a place to run your charger cord through it so as to charge your phone etc while you have your phone on the pillow. If I use a thinner fabric for the pillows, I add iron on interfacing or batting. SO MANY ways to make this little gem...
I use my phone pillows to watch RUclipss and movies while I'm sewing or at my desk. The front pillow makes for an excellent pincushion when needed.
Thank you Laura!
Ruth in Amarillo
Wow you have some great ideas! Thanks for sharing them:)
Ruth Root great idea for buttonhole! Where exactly do you put it?
pamela leitman the buttonhole is in between the 2 and 2.5 inch marks in the crease. 🙂
I've seen these - but thanks for breaking it down! I have a lot of people in my life who need one of these!
+sadiejosiemom Yes when I saw them I thought "what a great idea!' had to have one...two...three...you get the idea:)
Thankyou-I need to make several of these for stocking stuffer gifts and yours is by far the most straightforward tutorial!
Laura. ...love this idea. ..going to make them for everyone in the family for Christmas. maybe even the church bazaar 🎄. Thanks!
Have fun and you better get started It is only 25 weeks before Christmas:)
Hi Laura, I loved this tutorial. I am going to make a few of these phone pillows to give out as presents.
how fun!:) thank you
Great video, love the inside pocket for the Beads idea, thanks so much
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I just keep making them as gifts. Not only does everyone use them, but they think I'm a genius. When the pellets become costly, I just use stuffing instead. Works just as well.
Glad to hear you are having fun! Thanks for watching
Great tutorial. Thanks! I'll be picking up a funnel and pellets tomorrow......
Smple instructions! Thanks!

+xstitchaddict Your welcome, Me too:)
Had to look at this after your live posting! A great idea - I prefer laptop for viewing things, but I know several people who would love this. I use ground corn cob husks for the weight - works great in pincushions too. Thank you Laura. :D
Update - made one for my husband's birthday - he absolutely loves it. He suggested a stand for every room! LOL! He did hint that he would also like a laptop pouch to match! Cheers xx
such a fun and great Idea! thanks Laura, I always learn something new with you!!🌹😘
thank you and thanks for joining along
I've just completed my first phone pillow. Your instructions are so clear that it was very easy to complete. I'm wondering, do you have instructions for making a tablet pillow? I've looked at several on line. I made one and I do not like how it turned out. Just thought I'd ask if you have or would make a video for a tablet pillow. Thanks for your very clear instructions and all of the projects you share with us!!
What a great idea? I can hardly wait to give this a try.
+Beth Cooley thanks Beth:)

I made 2 of these. Very fun. Thank you!
This is by far the best example of the phone pillow or tablet pillow. I couldn't find the site for the pellets. Please comment to let me know where to find them.
you can found them at Joanna, that's where I got mines from
Excellent tutorial thank you so much for sharing your skills
Neat Idea! I'm going to try these and I may try a larger one for my kindle tablet. I may try some for Christmas!
Good idea and Christmas is not to far away;-)
This size works just fine for my Kindle. I use it at my office all the time.
I have made several now. My husband ask me to make one a little wider, so I did 6" I really like it a little bigger.Try it see what you think 💖
I enjoyed your video how to make a phone pocket. Your instructions were clear and simple. I would like if possible measurements for an Ipad holder that would be nice thank you for sharing your video I loved it
Thank you Laura this is a great idea and i will be making some of these. Great video thank you for sharing
Thanks and thanks for watching
Hi Laura you may recall I made a bunch of these for Christmas 2015 - guess what, I hacked this pattern! I made a baby car seat cover and my daughter and I soon realised it needed a weight. So looking around for inspiration as to what I could use - there was my phone pillow. I made the stuffed roll at 1.5" and had about 1" tab. I attached it to the wrong side of the back edge so that just the roll was showing. Works like a charm! I then also put a viewing window into the cover but that's another story.
That is great news, I love it when that happens
Awesome!! I made a couple of these last night! Thanks!
Yeah!!!!:)
Thank you. Always enjoy your videos. Very informative, will make some for the grandchildren. If you don't mind I will use your idea for my iPad as well. Lol V.x

I have made quite a few of these and they have been a huge hit. I managed to re-size it for a tablet, with a pocket on the side and they will be given as gifts. Laura, let me know if you would like the dimensions to try out and video. Thank you so much for sharing!
I will keep that in mind! thanks you:)
Love it. This is my next project. Everyone I know has a cell phone.
and to think you still have 19 weeks before Christmas:)
Nice & easy❣️❣️
I just viewed this video and would like to make several pillows for Christmas gifts. I was wondering, if I doubled the dimensions of your pattern would I be able to make a pillow to support a 10" tablet. Thank you for all the inspiration you provide.
Yes I don't see why it wouldn't work. Let me know how it works out for you and happy sewing
This is great! Thank you :) I wonder how I could make my phone sit up a little straighter... maybe I'll try 6 inches long instead of 5
Clever and easy to sew!
Great tutorial, just made my first phone pillow and I'm delighted with the outcome. Got my fabric from Aldi and Poli Pellets from Ebay, so a really inexpensive project. I also backed my fabric with iron on interfacing for added stability. Would really like to make one for my Kindle so will need to work out the sizing, unless you can advise? Thank you :)
Tried another by doubling the sizes but it was a fail.
I have made a number of phone pillows and experimented with aquarium gravel instead of poly pellets. I bought a bag of natural gravel - one that has no color added and can be machine washed without a fear that the color will bleed into the fabric. I used it to fill the rest at the base of the pillow; I then used a mix of poly pellets and gravel in the inner bag. Worked great! It might be worth a try for a Kindle pillow or a tablet pillow. The added weight and stability might work for you.
I love your teaching system
