A Humbug with a Flap! At a crafting event, a lady had this. She was given it so didn’t know how it was made. I took photos but couldn’t figure it out. How you do the closing seam is how needlepointed Humbugs are made. So glad I found you❤❤❤❤❤
Made this tonight. Took 40 minutes. That's the first time, plus I combined to different patterns. Easily can be made within a 1/2 hour. This may be Christmas Gifts this year. THANK YOU.
yes, once you've done a few you'll be super quick - check out my Bowl Cozy video too, if you like the bean bags, you'll love them, and they're just as easy once you've got the first one done - they make great gifts too :)
Just found your video... I wanted to make small wheat bags (30 secinds in the microwave) and this is an ideal shape. I have Sjogren's Syndrome (dry eyes) and this is helpful to get the natural oils in eyelids flowing as advised by the eye clinic ophthalmologist . Works much better than the expensive eyemasks available in the shops.
Yes, that sounds good to me. I think it would good to have different sized ones too if you want to use up your scraps, with different fabrics would be a good sensory activity for a toddler
what size bag of beans would fill this obviously don't want a big bag of beans as only going to be using for this project and make one for my son ? thank you
hard to say but you could also stuff with something like the teddy bear filling. its about half the size of a cushion I'd say, if they sell beans in smaller bags that is
What fabric would you suggest I use? I would like to make these for my granddaughters, I'm a complete beginner but think I could manage to make these. Many thanks.
I'd use cotton or polyester - nothing too slippery as it will make it hard to control on the machine and you also want something thick enough too hide the beans inside - good luck!
I wouldn't be able to tell you weight wise, but its a good question as I could only buy the beans in one size bag - which was huge! it was roughly 10x10 inches I'd say at a guess if that helps?
you could, especially for the smaller bean bags, but may be quite heavy and costly for the larger one? You could also repurpose an old pillow, or cushion for the wadding?
Thank you so much for this! I've watched so many videos where they make it ridiculously complicated. So happy to have found this one!!
Brilliant, have now made one for myself and every one else is getting one for Christmas 😊

Fantastic quick pattern if you need a quick gift, thanks

@@WeekendCraftaholic thank you ever so much. I've got the material and beans so am good to go now.
How much of the beads did you roughly use pls so I know how much to order, not likely to use them again so don't want kgs of them. Thanks.

I'd hate to see those foam balls fall into the machine.
Could I use rice instead of bean bag beans?
