1859 indian doesn't have the shield on the reverse. BUT 1859-1864 were made from a nickel composition, and typically called "fatty indians," due to them being thicker. 1864 was a crossover year, some were "fatties," and some were the newer bronze composition.

Nice vid. I've found 2 indian heads coin roll hunting total. My first was a decent 1903 and second was a black beat up 1891 with cement on the reverse. I was able to get most of it off without damaging the coin. I just subbed nice channel!
I know!!! Wish I had done that - hadn't figured it out yet. There's a couple of em out there (I made a video but forget some of the lesser known ones) and I totally agree with you.
Definitely make a video on it! Make sure it's unsearched first though... sometimes people will have previously searched them. I work in a coin shop and we always are truthful but many are not.
That’s cool that you work at coin shop, I want to do that sometime. These are Unsearched the guy said they are dateless so I will use nicadate, hope for key dates and sell for more. Since you work At a coin shop I would like your advice. I am paying about $0.14 apiece, plan on reselling for $0.25 apiece is that reasonable?
My boss at the coin shop I work at! He's really cool - I'd never steal anything (not that I would in the first place haha - but he trusts me to take home a lot of neat stuff to search, so it's really important that I wouldn't take anything from him. I've found some very valuable coins in the past for him and gave them to him of course).
@@TreasureTownCoins or u could've said they are all worth a quarter and bought them for him for $0.50, and thats not stealing... That's what coin stores do
Hey! What’s your oldest find ever coin collecting? I’ve been coin collecting for about 2 weeks and I found a 1842 Russian 1 cent coin coin roll hunting quarters lmao and it’s literally AU 53+
Are you serious?!?! That's insane man! My oldest find coin roll hunting is nowhere near that - probably a 1910 cent I found once. However, I have found a variety of foreign coins in the early 1900s but nothing too crazy. My best ever search was like 2 rolls of 40% and half a roll of 90% from a bank teller but unfortunately it's not on the channel. Seems like a good sign for you! Keep on hunting and let me know of any more finds!
Transitional year only coins I'm missing are 64L and 1877 all mine are MS-61 or better. Hopefully I can get them at auction, I would never pay retail price.
Say this prayer every day and night say dear Heavenly Father please forgive me from my sins I believe that you died for me on the cross and rose again Amen 🙏
I'll put you in an upcoming description, but my schedule doesn't allow for shoutout vids... there's a big giveaway likely to come up so I'd look out for that... maybe you'll win BIG!
Fun hunt. Wish I had an unsearched jar of IHP’s to look through!
Yea
do you watch all the treasure town vids rob

This might be his oldest comment! Not really able to confirm that though
The 1909 Indians are actually worth a premium now. Tossed a $12 coin into the junk pile lol

The cornet cent looked like it was in good condition
Indian heads look so cool. Cant wait to find one
Definitely!
@@TreasureTownCoins found two indian head buffalo nickels side by side today in a roll.
When you poured it, I was like o_0 there is a 2 cent

Thanks Harry!
This is such a weird comment...
Great video I love those Indian heads well done 👍
4:25 I have one of those from 1850
That's awesome!
I love IHP & IHN that was fun to see you go through all of those IH's. Must be nice to work in a coin shop. I really enjoyed your video. ATB & HH
It sure is! Thanks for the positive comment Shirl.
I try to be positive. :-)
Nice large cent & the copper nickel cents are pretty bad shape except the 1862... cool video thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed!

That's sweet! I never have actually found one CRHing but I hope to! I'll check out your channel later today!
Those you want to check for overdates! I don't know them all off hand, but I know 1888/7 is very rare and valuable. Like only 30 known or something.

Whoa! So terrific.
I only have found 1 Indian cent and it was in really bad shape can't wait till I find another one.
Hopefully you find one soon!
I might be purchasing an unsearched box of 207 buffalo nickels

The 207 sounded like an estimate
cool coins...I need to find a jar of Indian heads! I subbed your channel. good luck man.
Nice video, I enjoyed the hunt. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed!
Dangggg, wish i had a jar like that.
Where did u get it from?

Where did u get the jar of ihcs?
I may have mentioned in the video but at work... I work in a coin shop and I was going through a collection I think so I filmed it.
Did you ever check for the "L" on the 1 nice 1864 penny?
Pretty sure no and I no longer have the coins! I will in the future though, thanks for the reminder.
It doesn't seen to have an L on it, if it were it would be worth more than the entire jar itself lol.
@@TreasureTownCoins why would u not hold on to those coins
@@TreasureTownCoins steal them lol or pay for it
this guy is so lucky wish i head a indian head penny
You can get them for a dollar at your local coin shop :)
So many Indians! What a cool jar to search. My collection of Indians is pretty sad in comparison 😂
Depending on the type that 1886 might of been the best coin.
classic intro
you relly triggered me custhat 1848 is called a large sent
I thought the 1909 was a Wheatie
1909 is IHCs and Wheaties! Different points in the year.

Just subbed! Awesome Indians!
unsearched .... its a transparent jar what do you mean?... :D
xD unsearched by me maybe haha
Will u sell me a couple of the flying eagles please.?
And I need a 1900 Indian head
how does this jar exsist. how does video exsist. WHY DO I EXSIST
I don't know!?!?
1804 two cents pecie
1909 Indian heads still go for like 10-14 dollars there alot better then the 1890s-1908s
They're definitely cool coins! Didn't know they were that much more.. thought it was only a slight premium.
Braided hair large cent*
Right on. Need to improve my vocab on the earlier one.
You could have stole some of them like a 1879 and older, and the large cent and the 2 cent
Say this prayer every day and night say dear Heavenly Father please forgive me from my sins I believe that you died for me on the cross and rose again Amen 🙏
you sound sad
