    We have a few deer that need some attention at the moment and I do not want any more of our deer to get injured so I built a safe deer trap!

    I grew up on a deer farm, be careful of the fallow bucks getting too tame. If they get too comfortable with you, they will become very aggressive towards you while rutting. It is an absolute pain to not be able to enter the field without a stick / shield for defense. 😅 The does you can get as tame as you like, but best to keep the bucks slightly nervous of you.

    As a kid, we worked cattle in the open range. One way to make the animals easy to get into the squeeze pen is to move your feeder into the smaller pen and feed them there all the time. Otherwise, it will become harder to get them into it when you want to catch them.

    When feeding the deer, try to give the same "command" every time. Like for example "come come" They will associate the command with feed, and you will be able to call them after doing it for a time. Love your content, greetings from South Africa.

    Could you take the sequences a post and put along in a straight line from the gate where you're gonna let them out into the area and take those posts and fix all your little enclosures off of those by being able to have them a gateway kind of just swing it to and then make a roll. Of those swing swinging engaged where you can eventually close them all off into one little section and only let 1 out when you want to. Upwards for a message

    You may want to put a piece of steel below where you’re torching. Nothing too thick, but it can cause your concrete to break apart due to the hot slag boiling out the moisture in it.

    • @Kolya_Smirnov
      @Kolya_Smirnov 8 дней назад

      Not Heath, but the main reasons for raising fallow deer are; meat production, antler production (used in tradtional medicines, crafts, etc.), breeding and genetic improvement, hunting and game preserves, conservation, and tourism/education. I guess there's also the hobby aspect for some people.
