Definitely good informational video! I (might) consider using this on a long trip, but the more I think about it, I just get a weird feeling about only 4/8 cylinders running the vehicle even though it doesn’t take much to take it out of it…
For the record as soon as you put your foot into it itll quickly go to V8 mode and drop a couple gears. Ive had no issues with this thus far. Just give it a try and of you dont like it drice the car the way you want. Nothing wrong with that. 👍
Hello, sir. I have question. Challenger with 5.7 engine have eco system, when you can drive with 4 cylinders ???? If 5.7 engine have this system, how this system turn on ??? THANKS !!!!!!!
@@liudasjankauskas601 Any speed where you are not accelerating and are remaining at a constant speed. Back when I use to use ECO mode Ive had it kick into 4 cyclender mode as low as about 10mph.
Understand sir. Dodge challenger with 5.7 engine 2010 - 2014 years , have ECO mode when work just 4 cylinder or not have ??? Because i want buy just 2010-2014
I have an insanely loud engine knock that goes away as soon as it goes into 4 cylinder mode . Is there any known way to temporarily make the engine stay in eco/4 cylinder mode full time until I can repair or replace engine?
I dont think so and you may need a new motor. I had my motor replaced at about 37k miles. I later found out that we should not be driving in 4 cylinder mode. We should keep our cars in Sport mode or have the 4 cyl mode deactivated somehow......look in my videos for "Hemi Tick?" to see if this is what your hearing in your motor or not. If so them bring it to the dealership asap.
Not sure about a slight tremor but sometimes you can feel it go from 8 to 4 cyl mode at highway speeds but usually when crusing around at about 25-45mph not so much but you can hear the difference out the exhaust (either stock or mid muffler delete).
@@angelvel323 What's year of your car? I even went to dealership to let them to help me to check exhaust, they told me I need to spend $3000 to change whole exhaust lmao
@@bryan2408 actually yes it does. For one you are runing on half the cyclenders. Also takes a second to go back into full V8 mode. Also over long periods of time in 4 cyl mode can cause engine issues. My 1st 392 motor went out due to oil starvation from 4 cyl mode at just 37.8k miles.
That is correct. You can also use Custom mode to have it in Track or Sport shifting and steering but have the traction set to street mode so that you dont have to worry about the tires breaking loose and going sideways during hard throttles or in the rain. I personally drive it in Custom mode as follows. Steering set to Track, shifting set to Sport and traction set to Street for normal driving and when I want to mess around or race others I use same set up but change the shifting to Track. This is how I layed down a 0-60mph time of 4.0sec in my car.

I was warned that the eco mode would ruin the engine and man my 2020 Daytona took a dump on me yesterday with the cylinder 8 misfire. I changed the engine coil and spark plugs no fix. I'm glad my warranty gonna cover it.
Im at 210,000 no hiccups runs great. But Mine has suspension problems though ive replaced everything up front including rack and pinion but still have a clunk clunk when i hit bumps
V8 mode at 70mph I usually get about 23/24mpg and in 4 cyclender mode about 32+ at 70mph. I usually average about 420-450 miles per tank which equates to about 23-25mpg average with about 60% highway and 40% city driving. I normally drive easy but do gun it on highway and city occassionally but not all the time lile most owners do. I drive in Street mode 95% of time with 5% in Sport mode just for fun. I only do ECO mode when driving over 80mph and want it to go into 4 cycender mode upto a potiental 85mph and still get about 27-28mpg.......just remember Scatpack requier 93 octane gas while the V6 GT can take 87 octane so in most places that's $.50-.80/gal more per gal of fuel plus insurance is slightly more on Scatpack over GT. Hope thos answers your questions. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

If your 5.7 has ECO and Street mode then when at cruising speeds it will most likely drop to 4 cylender mode.
