I love this , such great energy you bring to the exercise.. Can I ask , from the 7 minute mark from the flam on the second partial can you explain the cheezum? drag up? flam fives? please
@@madavis60 these are flam accents with stuff on top. If I put a diddle on the flam it’s a cheese. A diddle after the flam is a drag. A diddle on both is a flam five
Hope and Joy, that was beautiful man. I hope I can purchase couple of your tracks soon or I can make one myself in the future. Subscribing this channel has really help me on my warm ups
I found this particularly helpful to chop out with just hands on the table to engage the wrist more (I have a bad habit of dropping diddles in or just using the rebound all the time) Update: Chops on fire lol, I gotta do this more
I make all of my own tracks. Side note** this track was originally called coming to America but the song was cut from my album. So I made a drum video to it!!
Tim Jefferson thanks!! I make all of my own tracks. I have a baby songs album/company called “soulful baby songs” and 2 hip hop albums under the name “morning hawk”
Marcus, this is truly amazing. You really got me out of a funk out here today (wildfires, bad air and dreariness on the West Coast). So an eternal thank you for that. And I love that you did a post in 6/8 for a change. Only one small critique: While I love the backing track you did, I'm having a hard time hearing your instructions and pad over it. Any chance you could remix with a little less track and repost it? If not, maybe I'll try wearing some phones. Cheers, and thanks again.
The most fun practice pad session I ever had
Thanks!!!

Hey Marcus what do you mean when you say flam on the 2nd and 3rd partials when you get to the flam accents? Any tips or videos on understanding this?
What's the background song to the chopout called?

Do you have any tips to get better at triple strokes?
Ethan C. Thanks! Two tips: 1- play them on a pillow and accent the last note of each hand. 2- finger work outs /finger yoga!!
