I have 10, 15, 20, and 75 meter ham sticks. I can get none of them adjusted to where my radio can transmit even when using my LDG auto tuner. I have them on a MFJ Octopus mount about 20 feet in the air and they are not usable. SWR is so high on them all the auto tuner won't make them usable. Spent over an hour today just trying to adjust one of the 20 meter sticks to an acceptable SWR. No lower than +10 SWR on my analyzer.

It's NOT the hamsticks. Check your coax or mounts with a simple multi-meter for continuity/ resistance. I suggest you have a bad PL259 or coax. My 10, 15,and 20 are tuned to 1.1 or less. 40 is about 1.16 ....80 is about 1.25. I will offer that the MFJ 909 capacitance matcher makes a very nice addition..... watch this to understand.....worked wonders for me as each stick will be different.....each selection you use will also be different....from " Bypass", to 480 PF. Eliminates the need for " Shunts / air coils".
