    Thanks for the video! What size are those PVC caps? Mine came with some. They were in the armrest box when I bought it but I had no idea what they were for. Set them out and now I have lost them. I didn't say I was bright.

    Thanks for this video Bradley. My wife and I are actually going to pull the trigger and get our first Ventrac in the next couple of weeks. Well within the month. Looks like we may be traveling back to Ohio to get it. Maybe we’ll make a little detour and come see you.

    I think the red flange on the inner wheels and the white plastic cap are part of the dual wheel accessory option? If so, are the studs on the inner wheel long enough to accept that flange, or do new inner wheel studs come with the dual wheel kit?

      The dual wheel kit comes with the threaded inner hubs, white end caps, outer wheels and threaded wheel extensions. I have 2 sets of duals. The old set from 2005 I actual run on my 2016 Z model with the all terrain tires. The new set of duals has the turf tires that I mostly run on the 4200

    Ventrac has dull steams on there rims s o you can add air from the back side of the tire, at least on the newer tractors

    Good Morning Bradley - I’ve noticed the extra weight that’s been added above the front wheels on both sides. I can’t find this option on Ventrac’s site. Is this something you’ve done personally? I assume it’s for better traction - does it work and if it’s your doing, would a video of this be an option? Thanks and have a great day! John T

    • @bluecordprecisiongrading2504

      Hi, John. The extra weights are a Ventrac accessory. Since I almost always run the 4500 with a bucket or slip scoop on the 3 point, the front end can get rather light when using a small attachment such as the Stump Grinder. The "mid weight" kit really helps with this. www.ventrac.com/products/accessories/70.4137

    • @johnt2190
      @johnt2190 3 года назад

      @@bluecordprecisiongrading2504 That makes sense. As I also plan on using attachments front and back, this is something I’m definitely interested in. I’m assuming the mounting kit does not include the weights - so, do you transfer those from behind on the three point or did you buy an additional 4 weights? I really appreciate this Bradley, your experience is saving me a lot of “learn as you go” time. Thank you!

      @@johnt2190 It does not include the weights. However the 3 point hitch should come with 3 weights. I keep the 3 point weights on all the time as well as the 4 weights for the mid weight kit. Glad I can help

      I've had that torque wrench about 20 years. I can't remember where I even got it and I'm not sure of the brand. There are no markings on it that I can see. My pressure gauge is a JACO FlowPro 200 PSI

    Hi, thanks for the video and others you post. I also watched the Ventrac video (on Ventrac website) showing removing and re-installing duals. The guy shares there are air valves on both sides of the tires. I was able to check the pressure on my inner wheels when duals were on...had to drive forward or backward to get air valves so they were at bottom of tire for access. Mine is a 2018 so I'm not if this is a newer thing they've done or if they were always this way.

  • @tazmankb26

    They should reverse the valve stem on the inner wheel so it is on the inside. It may be a little difficult to reach but probably easier than having to remove outer wheel.

    • @bluecordprecisiongrading2504
      @bluecordprecisiongrading2504  4 года назад

      The new style has stems on both sides. I've had these wheels for 15 years. Even if the stem is facing inward on the inner wheels, it's still a challenge to get in there. I also have these tires filled with a special sealer that costs about $300 for 5 gallons. I'm just not ready to go through replacing all 8 rims just yet

    Great video! I wish my outer wheels came off as easily as yours do. Usually, one or two are real bears with me having to wrap the wheel with a tie-down strap and twisting the strap with a long crash bar.

    My 4500 wheels have Schrader valves on BOTH sides, thus the inners can be inflated from behind and the outers from outside. My 8 tire/wheel units are fully ballasted and that adds about 56 pounds to each. GIven that added weight, I find it easier to remove the lugs of the outer wheel and either leave the extension on or remove it.

    • @bluecordprecisiongrading2504

      I have ballast too. At one time I used Calcium Chloride which explains some rust on the wheels. Today I'm using a special tire sealer that also acts as ballast but not nearly as heavy as before. Some of my wheels are 15 years old and only have valves on one side. My newer wheels have them on both.
