    This dude fought 107 opponents, everyone wants to say he fought nothing but bums but dude stepped in the ring with pretty much anyone 107 and not caring about losing his undefeated title , this man is the greatest Mexican boxer hands down, even out of his prime and age he fought prime de la hoya, de la Hoya didn’t want to fight him out of respect for his legacy but Chavez insisted, with that being said I wouldn’t want to see him against mayweather id like to see him against an actual warrior like pacquio or Robert Duran

    I would say Mayweather was quicker than his uncle and his defense was a lot more effective. The reason Chavez would’ve taken him was his ability to close the gap, relentless inside body damage, incredible chin and power shots. Mayweather gets flustered when he’s rushed and forced into battling inside. Chavez for the win

  • @linkercasas1004
    @linkercasas1004 6 месяцев назад

    I don't think that's the proper question. I would ask “Who would win the majority of the fights if they fought a trilogy (or x amount of fights)? If they fight enough times, it's possible to see them both win some of those bouts. Who would beat who more often is a better question. In my opinion Floyd wins the majority of the fights vs Chavez.

    As much as I want to say Chavez wins I just can’t. He struggled against Whitaker who has a similar slick defensive style. Now imagine a prime Mayweather with such characteristic plus more offensive than Whitaker. Mayweather by decision.

    NO WAY Chavez beats him because floyd would have never gotten in the Ring with him. He would be added to a long list of guys floyd ducked. Castillo beat him and it wasn't that close. Chavez destroys him.

      @@Abdu-yc5wk In that case, Chavez, in his prime, was WAY too much for floyd. Laying on the ropes trying to pot shot just wouldn't work on him. And the shoulder roll works if someone is throwing one punch at a time. Again, it wouldn't work here.

    • @Abdu-yc5wk
      @Abdu-yc5wk 11 месяцев назад

      @@constantine7382 I disagree, his philly shell and shoulder roll has definitely delt with and nullified fast paced fighters, he doesnt counter well against those combos but he has discouraged fighters before since they just hit without hitting and just waste energy

    • @constantine7382
      @constantine7382 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@Abdu-yc5wk If it were your average fighter, I would agree. But has ANYONE ever went to floyd's body the way Chavez would?No one ever did but Chavez certainly had the chin to take what floyd dished out. No way he hurts Chavez at all. I think Chavez, at the lighter weights, just had too many weapons. In floyd's entire career, he never faced anyone like this. I think Castillo beat floyd rather convincingly and he was no where near a Chavez.
