Here are things that piss me off:

I tested INTP for a job about 10 years ago, but didn’t really start obsessing over it until recently while trying to figure out why I want to be around people but they absolutely EXHAUST me. I’m a thinker first and a feeler only if I absolutely have to be. But, my parents both died when I was 14 and I didn’t have time to feel, I had to figure out where I was going to live. So, I see feelings as wasted energy and it’s really made human relationships difficult for me. I just found you guys and I was up til like midnight watching your videos from 7 years ago. I love how you explain things. I like being able to say, YES! That really makes sense to my logical brain.

I relate to that self-emotions disconnect so bad. I think most Ti saviours go through a phase where they wish they could get rid of their emotions entirely and I still have that often. It's like my emotions just hold me back. Somebody is being a prick to me and I could own them in four words, but my emotions keep me from doing it. And it all just ends up exploding at some point and I didn't accomplish anything. I just want my emotions to work with me, instead of against me.

wow, it's amazing how much can I learn here about myself and others. I tried to get rid of my emotions aka become a psychopath, but I had no idea that it's so common. over the time I became so emotionally numb the only deep emotion left I experienced not so long ago was anger, so now I cherish every little emotional moment. but do I regret it all? not really. I learned not to bottle-up my emotions, so I think this 'anger-phase' was there to lose the heat and prevent me from doing the same in the future.

I work in adult foster care, and one of the people I served was so similar to Theo Von it's uncanny. Even has a similar face. So much demon emotionality. I think this person may have been an INTP or ENTP, because they had some demon Si stuff going on as well. The conspiracy theories would flow. Constantly paranoid about people and things people might be doing and saying behind the scenes. We got along really well, he was going to get kicked out of his placement but we started to bond when I started talking about Star Wars with him. He didn't even like Star Wars, but as soon as I brought it up, he started realizing I was not out to get him. He moved to a new location, but I got to see him again. He was smoking a cigarette and chewing tobacco simultaneously. It was good seeing that he was generally doing well though.

I'm a mild-mannered, cheerful sort of person, but it was that rage demon that led me to want to bury all emotions long ago in my teens, though I never could, of course. I was particularly uncomfortable with anger's control of my behavior. There's something special about it. Anger feels too intense, too aggressive. Is it a cultural bias bestowed on me as a female? Sharing thoughts and feelings truly is key. I still struggle to express anger without causing that defensiveness that ends discussion (tone matters; my Ti is good at inadvertently insulting without cussing)., but that is one way my Fe demon is tamed: with language that expresses anger non-violently.

INTP here, and it doesn't always come out in anger. Sometimes it can be shaking with confusion or weird crying. But that's extremely rare when things have built up for a long time. There's a documentary about humankind coming out of Africa and the narrator is so in his head then suddenly he starts crying uncontrollably. People interpreted it as compassion, but it was just balance coming into the system to address the excessive rationality.

I really like Theo; I've watched at least 12 podcasts from the last seven years or so, full of him telling stories and chinwagging with an assortment of other comics, and chunks of totally solo kind of melancholy parts of him on his own. I really, really think he's a Feeler. To me he seems an emotionally warm and sensitive person who's striving to get over his fears and insecurities and to become more authentic in his expression and in touch with his feelings, (as he talks about in that clip) because he grew up being treated little better than a junkyard dog.
I can see why you might have picked that clip of him as an exemplar because the comparative lack of sophistication and awareness in knowing his own emotions *does* seem to be at a level that wouldn't be surprising in a youngish male T-dom. But even in footage of some of his most fucked-up interview and some performance, just before rehab a few years ago, he still was giving me numbed-out major F vibes waaaaaaay more than T ones.
He talks onstage and in interview sometimes about a really rough 'white trash' Louisiana childhood full of neglect and poverty. I get an impression of a 'hurt little boy inside' who isn't confident in showing who he is not because he doesn't have prominent F (Fi? -- I keep flopping back and forth on which), but rather because he never had good mirroring or attached love as a kid.
Seems I'm only right about 75 -- 80% of the time on first type guesses, though, so . . . [shrug] And he's not been an easy one for me to formulate a confident one about, beyond the F thing.
I think watching an Ari Shaffir (ENTP?) rant on JRE then seeing the huge Feels-o-Meter contrast between Shaffir and Theo talking on This Past Weekend would lead a body away from thinking Von's a T. I wouldn't be too surprised if he turned out to be an ISFP, in fact. I've become acquainted with some who are total dudes in every visual, fashion, behavioral, interests aspect but who are also very watchful and tender, emotionally.
Now I have to wonder if he's a 'jumper' and that's why I hit the wall a way's back in trying to guess further about him.
I'll be interested in what comes out if he gets typed within the OP system!

I would have guessed ENTP. The control issue comes from his inferior Si, his desire to help others from tertiary Fe which is aspirational. He's fast and witty, a wordsmith, which is his Ne dom. But the anger he's talking about is his PoLR Fi. When you're not very in touch with your emotions (sadness, desire, passion), everything gets interpreted as anger because it blows up on you when you try to express it.

My therapist said that there was no need for reasons when it came to feeling a certain way... I still have trouble understanding that. I can sometimes pinpoint exactly what makes me upset/worried, but not all the time and when I can't, it's even more upsetting... and sometimes, people just think I'm upset when I'm mostly just annoyed. Instead of locking up a gremlin, it's just a general feeling of discomfort. Like my emotions tend to bubble up, explode like a volcano, then calm down just as quickly sometimes. Like, people shit their pants when this happens for the first time in front of them because I'm not someone that gets upset or sad easily. Where I really lose my shit is when I feel like I'm either losing control or freedom. That's the only time when it's pretty expeditive lol

Interesting little detail about how this is where you got the word demon from. It's helped me further confirm my self-typing. I'm getting pretty firm on demon Fe, same as this guy, except mine's masculine. Since this guy has anger issues, getting swept away by the feelings, I'd guess that he has feminine Fe. The thing inside of me that I consider like an evil that has to be held back is a manipulative psycho that emotionally controls people. I'm quite sure I'd be able to do that if I wanted to, and I can't allow myself to become that. I'd somehow not linked that sense of internal evil that has to be locked away to my bottom function yet.

I think another way to shore up a weaker function is to recast it in terms of other functions. Like, your thoughts and feelings are also objects that you can sense and organize into patterns. For me, it was thinking about emotions as a heuristic analysis system, similar to AIs. It's a tunable, rapid-response adaptive network that I can feed and water to give me useful, complementary insights as I am analyzing human systems and how I relate to them.

Awe, don't laugh at the dog. He is just being a dog. We anthropomorphasize dogs, assigning human traits to them, and then mistreat/underestimate/misunderstand them based on our own false assumptions. Screaming at your dog is a surefire way to destroy trust between you and your dog. As a former dog trainer who knows dog psychology, that clip was painful to watch. Not funny in the least.

    INTP, what makes me mad?
Wrongness. When smart people say something really dumb, and i know there is no way to talk them out of it.

      Mika25797 HD They’re opposites. Intuition/Sensing are opposites.
      Thinking/Feeling are opposites.
And the introvert/extrovert charges are obviously opposites too. So if I have Ni first, then I must have Se Last. Or if I have Si first, I must have Ne last.

Is it possible you're thinking of CSJ terminology of "hero" and "demon" (1st slot and 8th slot, respectively)?
