ബീഫ് ബിരിയാണി | Beef Biryani Recipe | Kerala style

This video is about the recipe of Kerala-style Beef Biryani. It is special due to the combination of Fried Onions, Spices, Mint and Coriander Leaves. The marinated beef is pressure cooked and then it is topped with cooked rice for the dum process. Anyone with basic cooking skills can easily follow this beef biryani recipe. Happy cooking!

Salt (ഉപ്പ്) - 2 + 1 + 2½ Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder (മഞ്ഞള്‍പൊടി) - ¼ Teaspoon
Chilli Powder (മുളകുപൊടി) - 1 Teaspoon
Coriander Powder (മല്ലിപ്പൊടി) - 1 Teaspoon
Garam Masala (ഗരം മസാല) - 2 Teaspoons
Black Pepper Powder (കുരുമുളകുപൊടി) - 1 Teaspoon
Lime / Lemon Juice (നാരങ്ങാനീര്) - 1½ + 1½ Teaspoon
Curd (തൈര്) - ¼ Cup (60 ml)
Green Chilli (പച്ചമുളക്) - 5 Nos
Garlic (വെളുത്തുള്ളി) - 10 Cloves
Ginger (ഇഞ്ചി) - 2 Inch Piece
Tomato (തക്കാളി) - 1 No (Medium size) - Chopped
Onion (സവോള) - 5 Nos (Medium size) - Sliced
Mint Leaves (പുതിന ഇല) - ½ Cup (Chopped)
Coriander Leaves (മല്ലിയില) - ½ Cup (Chopped)
Biryani Rice (ബിരിയാണി അരി) - 3 Cups (600 gm)
Ghee (നെയ്യ്) - 5 Tablespoons
Cooking Oil (എണ്ണ) - 5 Tablespoons
Cashew Nut (കശുവണ്ടി) - 1½ Tablespoon
Raisins (ഉണക്കമുന്തിരി) - 1½ Tablespoon
Cardamom (ഏലക്ക) - 6 Nos
Cloves (ഗ്രാമ്പൂ) - 10 Nos
Cinnamon Stick (കറുവപ്പട്ട) - 3 Inch Piece
Bay Leaf - 1 No
Water (വെള്ളം) - 4½ Cup (1125 ml)

I made this biriyani twice. One exactly the ingredients given and in the second one I added one cup of smashed shallots along with the ginger/garlic/chilly. This added more flavour and masala to the end product. Nice and tasty mild biriyani, which my children relished.
