When you go to South Dakota, try the circus in Aberdeen South Dakota, best place by far that I’ve eaten at
Big Dogs Brewing Company in Nevada for sure.
come to Pluclers Wing Bar in Houston,TX!
Momma's Homemade Mustard & Pickles in Louisville, KY and Tree's Wings in Royal Palm Beach, FL.
I highly recommend crosstown Pub in Naperville or Batavia Illinois. You got to get the double devil hot wings they will blow your mind. Also the peanut butter and jelly wings are very unique. Big and meaty wings for sure!!
round of applause for joe.
The real MVP!!
@@therealsamreidJoe is my brother, no joke
It's crazy how much effort you put into every video, much respect!🙏 Looking forward to the coming parts of this series!
Thanks for saying that!!! 🙌🏼
"Crazy effort" yet he can't even put chapters in for each state lmao
I was coming to the comments to say the same thing. Subscribed within 2 min.
So much effort
J Tim’s parking lot is the bane of my existence 😂
They need a full time parking director or something!!! 90% sure I didn’t park in a real spot 😬
Dew Drop has like 4 and a half parking spaces.
It's great to see J.Tims get some love. We have so many awesome wings spots here in CT.
I really love your detailed scoring system! And even though the 2-wing place didn't necessarily have enough data points, super nice of you to rank them so highly. 🙂
I wish he was a little more harsh with the scoring. Everything was pretty much an 8 or higher
@@thedude00024lol everything gets an 8.5
He just seems like the nicest, most wholesome guy 🥹
I think you are starting to become my favorite creator - hands down. It's so nice seeing videos created not just for entertainment but because it is something you actually enjoy. That in turn makes your videos entertaining and it is now something I look forward to more and more. Your channel will boom at some point and I am here for it. Cheers, from the midwest!
Really appreciate you saying that!!
Your channel has grown a ton and deserve every bit of it. Thank you for all the effort you put into your content!
Finally Connecticut has something going for it
Just watched. The video was great but at the end with your it's going to be okay bit, brought me to tears. I recently got fired from running a kitchen here in California and I have been so depressed. Everyone gives me kind words but it hit me hard when you said it's gonna be ok. Although I know it wasn't intended for me personally, it felt nice to hear it from a voice I didn't recognize. Thanks dude. Much appreciated.
You’re welcome!! Hang in there.
Sam you’re always coming out with the boo-boo quality heat the quality is off the charts
😂 that’s high praise
What are you even saying? Try punctuation
As a former Nutmegger I am proud to see that J-Tim's won this match!! I used to work by there and would love it when we could go there for customer visits!
I live in Plainville and have grown up in the surrounding towns. I've been going to J Tim's my whole life. I've brought countless people from around the US and other countries there, I had my rehearsal dinner there, my step dad's 60th, my 18th birthday, etc. So many special memories. Thank you for doing this video and series at large!
Marleys in Hackettstown NJ has 300+ wing flavors
I legitimately do not understand why you dont have more subscribers! Your content is supreme. I really enjoyed your eating taco bell for a month journey. Keep it up!
J Tim’s have THE BEST wings ever!! I’m fortunate to live only 10 minutes away and get them every chance I get!! Thanks for the honest, great review!!
Wheatys pub in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is a must stop for wings. Took third in the state in 2017. 7 flavors on the menu at all times, and the pineapple papaya pequin is a sauce they make every now and then.. a must have!!!
Sam’s videos are drastically underrated. His channel is so kickass!! They just keep getting better and better.
You gotta hit memphis for Tennessee. There are so many good places here it’s hard to name just one - Crumpy’s, All-Star Wings, Wing Factory, and Wing Guru are all up there. Lots of people love the Central BBQ ones, too.
Fun fact, j Tim’s starts pre orders for Super Bowl weeks ahead of game day and is literally shut down just to focus on wing production leading up to the big game. They always sell out and people can start picking up wings (cold packs) like 4 days b4 the game. You have to book time slots for pickup. It’s crazy. Crazy delicious!
🤯🤯🤯
In Colorado you should try Fire on the Mountain in Denver. Their hot sauce is pretty flavorful and the raspberry habanero mixed with spicy peanut sauce is the best
gonna be tough to beat jtims, looking forward to the series!
Note to self: you’re probably going to be visiting ALOT of popular places during this journey. So mentally prepare yourself for packed restaurants- that way when you do get quick service, it will be a pleasant surprise; hence making your experience more enjoyable. 😊
Yess! I was hoping you would be going to J Timothy's. CT represent!! Love watching and supporting you through this journey. So happy everything is going well for you!!
J Tims is king. So glad u went there
Cool to see you start out i the region I live in. Never actually heard of any of these places so I'll have to check them out.
Most underrated channel on youtube right now, psyched for part 2!
Tracyton Public House in Bremerton, WA. Gigantic, lightly breaded wings with their TPH sauce. Wingsday has 70¢ wings with no minimum number for trying sauces.
As a native New Englander who has seen way too many people lump New York in with my home region, I just want to applaud you for being VERY definitive about the fact that New York (a state I love! My dad is from there and I went to college there!) is absolutely not part of New England.
So it's like Florida, it's own little world?
There is a sign in NYC that I always laughed at growing up. It said "Remember, if you leave the city you'll have to live in America". I think an addendum is If you go to the rest of NY state you'll have to have your passport because that's Canada.
@@matthewgoldfinger8363 Yeah, the rest of NY State is pretty much Canada. Especially the Buffalo area.
@@avgjoeavglife Its in the Mid-Atlantic region
I started watching your videos a few months ago, psyched to see an upload. Then you open getting wings in my HOMETOWN! Trippy!
That’s awesome - thanks for being here!!
Just want to say I love your vids man. I really believe in this channels long term success the content is great!
There’s this local place called 1886 in Frankfort NY, they have a wing called Purple cow wings and they are spectacular
Truly you’re an underrated af food commentary creator. Can’t wait for you channel to keep growing - keep It up!!
Been eagerly awaiting this series! Glad it's finally here. :)
Thanks for the shout out! 🙌🏼
Definitely fancier, Boneheads would have for sure been the RI choice if they were still open.
Ray!! Thanks for the recommendation. Great Northern was high quality for sure - very unique. Hope I pronounced your last name (close to) right!
Ivy Tavern in Providence has Korean wings that are insanely good
@@viewsfromthepit sounds good to me for a try!
for Wyoming, "born in a barn" has fantastic smoked wings and there is a wing truck called "double dubs" that has won national sauce championships with their sauces
Piccadilly’s in Shamong, NJ , this is South Jersey . Famous and delicious.
You need to go to Fourth n Long in West Allis, Wisconsin (just outside of Milwaukee). The wings are truly one of a kind. So good that they won’t even do carry out orders anymore. Tomkens which is only a few miles away is often regarded as the best in Wisconsin, but is viewed as heavily overrated by many locals. Its popularity it’s mostly due to past awards and it’s location directly next to state fair grounds. To this day I’ll drive 45 minutes back to my hometown just to get a taste of their homemade sauces and garlic parm fries. Simply to die for!
Second this. Tomkens is heavily overrated.
Connecticut is home to some of the best food in the country, so glad it’s getting some recognition
Wings & Ale are my favorite buffalo wings in SC! I’m aligned on the mission for the best buffalo wings haha
Weare is my hometown and I 💯 thought you'd end up at Puritans. Thanks for visiting our small town!!!
So happy to see your channel is growing ! I first saw your channel with the Taco Bell challenge. Love the content so far. For Wisconsin I’d recommend Fourth n Long or Leffs Lucky town.
Can't wait to see the rest of the series. Definitely craving wings after watching this.
Meat Southern BBQ and Carnivore Cuisine in Lansing MI. They were featured on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives and on Campus Eats for the Big10 Network. Wing is smoked and then fried to get that smoky flavor with a crisp texture. Sauces all made from scratch and placed tableside for extra suacin'.
Come on Willy’s Ale Room! Willy’s is a busy place, especially on a wing nights. I hope you can make it back there and try all the flavors of wings because they are delicious. I’m surprised they stopped taking orders and feel horrible about your experience. If it been a little earlier in the night I’m sure your experience there would have completely different. They go through up to 800lbs a week during the summer. I hope you find time to make it back to Maine and give them a shot again. I can also give you a handful of really great restaurants around southern Maine and Portland. Thank you for listening to my recommendation.
When you do Nevada, I would highly recommend waiting until the end of July and coming to Reno. We have the Biggest Little Wing Fest, and it’s always great. Tons of unique and amazing wings from all over.
If you’re not able to make that timing, Noble Pie here has amazing wings.
Brother its already the end of august
Lmao@@noblefridge
Dude your videos are always so freaking good. I can't wait for the rest of the series! 💪🔥
Crickets in Madison AL!! It’s been there forever and has been voted best wings in the state many times. Not open on sundays though. They’re on the smaller side but are juicy and crispy.
RUclips suggestion came in clutch with this banger of a video!, keep up the good work
Awesome video Sam! Can't wait to see the series continue
That Willys place just seems bizarre. Why even set closing times if you dont plan on honoring them? Seems unprofessional.
Because the entire place was packed as Sam mentions. By the time they would get to cook Sam's wings, it would be past 9pm. Use your brain, bud.
@@MrIloveyouAli that sounds like an oversight on managments part. If you have ever run a business (which you clearly haven’t) you take into account things like that and set your business hours accordingly in order to avoid confusion on the customers part.
@tobydammit6599 or you know, things happen lol. You don't need to run a business in order to understand that certain matters are out of their control. It could have been that one day. What are they going to do? Change closing times for the one day?
@@MrIloveyouAli in what way is it “out of their control”. Its actually 100% literally in their control. They cook the food, they set the hours. It is literally in the very definition of their control what are you on about man?
@tobydammit6599 lol, what if they didn't receive the correct delivery of chicken wings that day? You know, something out of their control. You can't be this daft bro. Shit happens all the time.
I’m so happy you chose J Timothy’s in Connecticut. Easily the best wings to get in CT
Barbill in Buffalo is a must. Cajun honey butter bbq is the flavor of choice
This guy needs wayyyy more recognition. Great vids
YES! He got dirty wings! My favorite
J Timothy’s is so good. I work a couple buildings away and I always find myself fighting the urge to go there, because it’s SO expensive.
Yes yes yesss!!!! I remember commenting last time about Bon Chon! If you don't wanna stop by a chain in CA hit up either K Town in LA or the Bay Area for some really amazing Korean Fried Chicken!!! (:
bro is an investigative journalist 🤌🏼👏
LETS GOOOO
Once you get to Alabama, the original Jefferson's in Jacksonville, AL (not far off I-20). It's become a bit of a local chain (there's one in Oxford, AL, right by I-20, for example), but the original in Jacksonville is just so much better.
The actual best wings in Maine are from a place called Lakeview in St Agatha, like 10 mins from the Canadian border. Full sized wings (drum and flap combined) and deep fried with the best sauce ever. You would’ve had to do a full day in Maine to get there though since it’s like a 10 hour drive North
RIP Boneheads best joint in RI killed by covid
New fan, algorithm recommend last night, I love these videos, super high quality content
The buffalo wing started in upstate ny. You should do spiedies next and start in ny cause that’s where it started
Ah dang every time you mention big meaty wings I know which place to not go to. I like the smaller wings because it's fun to be able to eat more of them. Great video, I got here from the Waffle House video!
I’m cracking up at you describing the different ways regions are identified and then saying New England is pretty much the same throughout. I would not consider CT or RI to be a part of New England, but that’s just my (a New Englander) opinion. 😂
i also live in new england and haven't met anyone who DOESN'T consider CT and RI as part of new england.
*almost* everyone I guess haha
WHAT?? Someone failed geography 😂 LOL
@@craigmcpherson6093 these people need to feel like extra special or something.
Not sure if you have already done NC, and it is out of the way, but New River Brewing, in west Jefferson NC has the best wings I have ever had. If you go ask for an order of turtle wings (they are chicken, don't worry) and a pint of their Love Shack brew. I've been all over, and they are so far and away the best.
I'm enjoying this series, so I had to come back to watch the start. I only wish your trip could've been longer so you could drive to any location in a state.
For Wisconsin, Points East Pub and TomKen's have dominated local lists here. My personal favorite is from Steny's Tavern!
Fourth n long is over Tomkens in my book. Tomkens has been too inconsistent. Haven’t tried point east tho! I’ll have to give it a go!
This should have hella more views. Just subscribed after your dollar tree episode.
i’m laughing at the willy’s ale room in acton ME because i never thought anyone even knew what that place was!! but that def sums up maine
How’d he say Renaissance fair again? Renne sans 😂 8:03
Honestly the most underrated RUclips Channel on the platform! Great video!
Illinois man here. I grew up on Buf Joe's in Evanston, right near Northwestern. Cash only, order quickly and get the hell out of the way type place. Think you would like it.
I have been watching you for a couple of months now. Excellent content, as always! I don't have any doubts that you will be one of the most popular creators on RUclips. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching and for the kind words!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hackett Hot Wings in Joplin, Missouri has a beer buffalo sauce thats one of my favorites Ive had. Super good.
For Nebraska I would recommend The Watering Hole in Lincoln and get them chargrilled! Great Video!
wingnutz in buffalo!!! best wing ive ever had perfect in every category
Adolfs Old First Ward Tavern in Buffalo is a MUST
Parrots Cay in Grand Forks, ND! The shark wings are the best
You gotta go to The Wing and Tap House in Marietta GA and get the Olympic torch flavor. Best wings
this is a great idea for vid series cant wait to watch it all!!
This is gonna be a hype series ~ notifications turned to maximum 🤯
When you get to Colorado you absolutely need to got to post oak!
J Timothy's is perpetually packed, especially on the weekends. Food is fantastic (attended a retirement dinner). Highly recommend as they lived up to their reputation.
Sutherlands and Output in Chicago are some of my favorites
Chipper’s Tavern and/or Odis 12 in Erie, PA. Erie is a very underrated wing city.
Spikes Junkyard Dogs in Warwick Rhode Island is a must go for wings and their award winning hotdogs.
I saw your newest video on my homepage and I decided to start this series, if you haven't been to Tennessee yet, The Grey Flower Deli right at the southern border has some AMAZING wings
Love this series, For Wisconsin I would recommend stopping at Points East Pub in Milwaukee, one sauce but they are phenomenal!! If you don’t wanna go alone I’m always looking for an excuse to go.
i found the best years in florida years ago -- Wings Plus in Fort Lauderdale. meaty wings that are cooked perfectly. they win tons of awards because they're phenomenal, but the place is totally no frills. love the idea for this series, you are at the top of your game -- as is the key west garlic sauce from Wings Plus
100%. They might be the best wings outside Buffalo in the US. They were for me.
You’re really good at this. Love your videos. You have found your calling.
Wow that maine story is truly a tale for the ages
Wings are great... that background music though, EPIC!
Been loving all the HIMYF references 😂
Pj whelihan's around the Philadelphia area. I'm originally from Philly but live in Texas, and I flew to Philly and took 2 trains to Jersey and walked through the snow to get these wings. It's a local chain but don't let that deter you!
For Michigan id recommend Sweetwater tavern, I know a lot of touring musicians that eat there every time they are here
Not sure where your list is, but for Ohio a local place is highly recommended by people from the Buffalo area in a large facebook group for the greater Cincinnati area(Chowdown Cincinnati). Its called Wings on Brookwood in Hamilton, OH. Its often mentioned as probably the most authentic wing in the area.
Have recomendations in three states:
1. KY - WingKYng in Lexington. Hole in wall, best wings (especially the creative flavors...Boo Dolla). Option 2 in KY is Rumors in Louisville - more traditional wing, very good, kinda on small side though.
2. CO - Willy's in Morrison. Best traditional wing in town. Option 2 - Fire on the Mountain....prob the most popular spot. Very tiny, organic wings, but very good unique flavors.
3. NY - Duff's (Sheridan location).
Update on CO wing suggestions. Just did a Denver wing tour - Doubling down on Willy's
Best Traditional Buffalo - Willy's in Morrison (Order extra crispy in Xtra Hot or Hot). Their Blue Cheese is great - closest flavor to the real deal in Buffalo. Also try the garlic Parm - best one I have had. I say Xtra Hot b/c the Hot was the right flavor but lacking heat.
Fire on the Mountain will by far be the number 1 suggestion by everyone - The Spicy Peanut is best and try flavor of the month. HOWEVER, their Buffalo flavors (i.e., Mild/Med/Hot) are not "Buffalo"...not even a Cayenne based sauce (i.e., Franks) based on my assessment. Also, the wings are not crispy enough....skin pulls when you take a bite instead of a nice crisp and clean break. Pro tip - get the fries with a side sauce of Garlic Parm.
The windbag in Helena montana was surprisingly good
