The original style especially looks just like a standard Nagoya Tebasaki (tebasaki basically means wings in Japanese). Potato starch is used for this style generally.

You gotta try Shakers Public House in Columbus, OH. They recently had a really bad kitchen fire not too long ago, so dine in is closed but they are still in operation as a remote kitchen. It's a great story of the community rallying around a great local business after a horrible accident, but they also have some of the absolute best wings in the state.

14:34 When you make your way to Louisiana, you have to try the “Jazzy Wings” from Copeland’s! They are only served in one flavor but they are simply delicious. The owner, Al Copeland, was the founder of Popeye’s and Church’s fried chicken, so the man must have known a thing or two about chicken.
There’s a small brewpub in Mobile, Alabama, that has the hottest wings I’ve ever had. It’s called Iron Hand. The owner is real top notch guy and he grows his own peppers. The house made reaper sauce is absolutely brutal.

For Kentucky you gotta do Pub By Novo in Bowling Green. Not just the wings, but genuinely one of the best restaurants I've ever ate at in the lower half of the state.

I know that when you get to Illinois the representative is more than likely going to be a place in Chicago (there’s great places there!) but if you get the chance while driving you should definitely try 17th Street Barbecue in Murphysboro or Marion. Best wings I’ve ever had
Corner Pocket Pub in Fort Wayne, IN has some spectacular wings. Be sure to get them Double Dipped if you make it there! Fire is my favorite but their most popular sauce it probably the hot honey garlic.
The Parrots Cay in Grand Forks, ND will be great! Id try the original sauce at level 15. "Shark" sauce if you try a second sauce. Remember to ask for them crispy.
When you eventually make it to Colorado, you should go to Rock Rest. They serve their wings whole, so with each wing you get the drum and the flat. They're insane and delicious.
Love this series! Once you make it to California, you have got to try the wings at San Tung in San Francisco.They’re known for their Original Dry fried chicken wings. As well as the wings from Hot Sauce and Panko. They have a bunch of different flavors but my favorite are Chris’ wings flavor and the salt and pepper flavor. Hope to see you going there !

Iowa- Colorado Grill in Boone the Hot sauce is equivalent to buffalo and their house made Blue Cheese is to die for. Also Jethros in Ames, Iowa has some of the best slow smoked wings I’ve ever had in my life.

When you go to Louisiana, I know it’ll be tempting to head to New Orleans, but drive about an hour south and find yourself “Kajun Kidd Burgers and Wings” in Thibodaux, LA. Some of the best wings you’ll ever have and a lot of unique flavor options in addition to the buffalo.
SAM! Fantastic video as always. Editing on point, and I love your commentary/narrative, its so strong in all your videos. Suggestion: the titles for this series are somewhat ambiguous. I wanted to see you Delaware wings after you mentioned them, but didn't really know where to look. That brings up the point that I haven't watched your other wing videos, mostly because they seem kinda longform which can be great, but if I just wanted to watch a specific state's wing spot I would be lost. I would say maybe calling it "I tried the best wings in every state [Part 3: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina] with chapters in the video player, I would find the video much more attractive and easy to watch.

when you make it to colorado, the best recommendations I can give are for GQue BBQ for smoked wings, and CDs wings for more traditional fried wings. Both are excellent spots
MOOSEHEAD is amazing. Thanks for taking our recommendation. Uncle Donnie’s are amazing but you should have gotten the Bee Stings as well bro. That’s the perfect sauce in my opinion.
When you get to Ohio, I recommend Ethyl & Tank in Columbus (get their hot garlic), Brewdog in Cleveland, or Flavor Grille in Akron (this one can be hit or miss bc it is a very small family place so sometimes they aren't open or don't answer the phone)
When you get to Indiana in my opinion the best wings are from “Buffalo wings and ribs” in Fort Wayne, but Korean Fried Chicken is also a great place here
I don't think there is a better wing flavor than hot lemon pepper or buffalo lemon pepper, it's simply a match made in heaven so not surprised the highest rated wings were of that flavor.
I know you're going to get a lot of suggestions for Chicago for wings when you do Illinois. But if you find yourself in Champaign or nearby, you have to try Black Dog Smoke and Ale House wings (specifically the Champaign location, there's 2 one in Champaign and one in its neighboring city of Urbana).
