Since I've read alot of similar comments recently: This run is not segmented/spliced and not a TAS run. The cuts/lags in this video are teleports in the map, those are called "landmark teleports". You don't notice these while surfing, but when you watch or edit the demo you can clearly see them, just like in this video. There's nothing I can do about it.

Imagine if valve released a stand alone game of surf. It would be like Trackmania but more awesome! I think its a missed opportunity to not do it just like it was with dotA for so many years. Surf needs a better interface to make it more accessible to a professional scene!

Because then in a lot of WR's people would be surfing a ton of ramps poorly because 1) they skipped them or 2) they bhoped them. idk what ever floats your boat, but they do it on purpose
i think its awesome that someone invested so much time to do something that great for a relatively small community. They dont get profit for their work, so its just for the ppl. The whole surf scene's development in general is just amazing. How creative you have to be to do something like that with an engine over years of development. And they reached that point of quality in the end. Hl2 Awesome engine, css one of the best games i have ever played.

MrssS4Jumper Yeah, but not entirely. They record the replay in 60 fps at 0.33x speed. Then they put it in editing software and speed it back up 3x, that way they're back at regular speed, but now they have it at 180 fps.
MrssS4Jumper Most screens have max 60 fps, but yet having higher makes a difference as either way. It's kind of the same deal here. Let's say you have a 1080p monitor. If you play a game at 4k, but downscale it the quality will still be way higher than if you just played it on native 1080p. It's the same thing here: it makes it stutter a lot less and generally makes it smoother. :)

a couple of surfing servers mention that "sv_cheats" or something like that needs to be enabled is what I meant. Doesn't seem to work on those servers

Don't try this map if you're starting out... This is a tier 6 the hardest tier.. Try tier 1 instead which is the easiest
