You saved me this morning! I couldn’t fix it like you did with the cable. I had to jam the window in tight. Best I could do in a tight. This 65 year old woman thanks you very much!
You're a headache saver! Lol. I fixed mine in like 10 minutes. Thank you so much because the rain is coming in a few days. Now I gotta work on getting all of that duct tape residue off my window. 🙄 Lol
Thanks for the helpful video. I'm gonna do this for my back window. One less thing to half to spend money on and one less thing to worry about failing in the future. A win-win for real! 👍
Just did this hack on my neighbors buick lacerne whose window just fell down and cable was jumbled. Cut cable and had to pull it several times from both ends to get desired tension but now its staying put. I used a countersunk finish washer to give more anchoring surface and it crushed around cable nicely, used thread lock as well. THANKS!
@@honeybuzzard2843I was doing that for a while and every week or so the things would pop back off due to summer heat or storm or something. He's suggesting finding 2 suction cups and suctioning them to the bottom of the glass on the inside. Put them so that they rest on the plastic of the door to prevent the glass sliding down. But like I said it wasn't very effective for me
Great tips about using a wire tightened with a nut and bolt to hold the window up whether it's an existing nut and bolt or put one through an empty hole. I did it with a string yesterday and not I'm going to buy some wire to do it.
Was excited for this and went through the process, but mine's not working the same. When I put the cable through the regulator and pull on the cable, it pulls my window DOWN, not up. Am I missing a step, or are the '04 Grand Prix built differently? If anyone has any help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks
Would this work on a Chevy impala 2010? I just want to make sure I’m not getting screwed over by someone’s estimate. They also told me there was no way to keep it up permanently except tape or fix regulator.
All regulators work the same. Another easy way yo do it is to take the door panel out, push up the window and then put a piece of wood whatever size needed to hold the window.

I am the spelling and grammar police. One less thing to HAVE to spend money on - NOT 'half". Learn to spell You will look less illiterate.
Genius. Thank you. Stuck in the snow and was the perfect temp fix to get home safely
Thank God I was thinking the block of wood and propping it up. Thanks!
Thank you! This is why I love RUclips. Saved me money. I was able to do this myself in no time!

I am the grammar and spelling police. Figure NOT figger. Finally NOT finaly
You can just put plastic wall mounted hooks from the dollar store at the base of the window on the inside. It's holding mine up pretty good
How, please be specific.
I can't see it in my head.
@@honeybuzzard2843 use e6000 glue to mount anything plastic at the bottom of the window. That way it won't slide down

Thank you. This will hold me over until tax time
Best way I've seen on youtube brother good job
Great- easier than putting a screw through the regulator rail just under the trolley
I need this done on my 1998 Chevy Malibu rear window.
Thank you.
Good info! TY for sharing!
