You are obviously missing the point where the fighter on the ground is capable of defense while he is on his back. As soon as he does become defenseless (balls up or gets knocked out)...the fight is over. No matter what sport you watch, when there is a loss of consciousness, the fight is stopped. I think you just don't like the way it looks.

My favorite thing about Muay Thai isn’t the striking, it’s really about who’s tougher. It’s mostly mental strength, but I always found Muay That fights are mostly determined by self-belief, purpose, just pure Rocky “it's about how you can get hit and keep moving forward.”

I’m new to all this but one thing I noticed throughout these clips is that this style of martial arts really likes to get very up close and personal. kneeing is something that they like doing I see. I’m not a fight and I don’t know anything just something I realized. Good fighting.

@@praetosstuff8230 Apparently modern lethwei implemented a point system with judges and tkos to establish an international competition/market, but other than that it is a gruesome bareknuckle muay thai fight with headbutts. Giving up always was possible, too. I think it is also known under the name burmese boxing.

forgive me as i am not an avid muay thai watcher and am very unfamiliar with the rules. whats the deal with all the doctor stoppages? the referee stopped them mid exchange in several of these clips to have a doctor come look at them. is it for any bleeding or were there injuries i actually missed?
