that's because muay thai by default is not a sport. It was made as a form of weapon. The goal of it is to either knock or kill. Which is why in normal muay thai rules, we use scores instead of knock outs. To protect both parties, but when muay thai goes into a format that doesn't look at scores. This stuff happens.
This might be the best knockout compilation I've ever seen and this is coming from a western boxing fan. Guess it's time to start conditioning my shins...
@@jebhank1620 I disagree, I mean the actual moment of knockout very much so because it is happening so fast, but many good fighters have trained to put themselves in position to make the chances higher.
Definitely not a martial art but a sport. These examples only illustrate how foolish it is to train in it for fighting since there is no avoiding of the attacker's center line, no closing of the distance, no control over the opponent's limbs or body, relying purely on stamina and conditioning. You forget that those who were knocked out are themselves "warriors of Muay Thai".
@@ycls2004 but I mean you can like dodge or block some attacks, but with the technique of Muay Thai, even catching or blocking the attacks is still powerful enough to hurt you, and I see your point
Exactly how I felt when viewing these strikes. There is no way an untrained person could withstand them like professionals. They start training at the age of 7-9 so blows to the ribs, shins, back, are all ineffective. It is a sports based on conditioning. In real life one must attack organs that can not be conditioned i.e. eyes, wind pipe, groin... For me, the first KO was the most technical and therefore the best. The most spoken one at 03:55 is actually by a Chinese boy and is not completely Muay Thai. You are meant to kick with your hill on the other direction. Though it seemed to work for him this time. I'd wish this sport and other could exist without people risking their health.

1:16 HOLY FUCK, the way his head bounced on the canvas. I haven't yet seen any KO's as brutal as the ones found in Muay Thai events. It is straight hand to hand COMBAT
Yes, no wonder its called one of the best striking martial arts hhh Everything is focused on damage and fast; let‘s take the taekwondo snap kick: you kick with the pad ( or with the shin, depends on which style) on a precise zone; in muay thai, you don‘t snap kick, your foot describes a diagonal line to be as fast as possible
@@iraniandude2899 The knee is not locked. They strike with the shin usually. The mechanics are exactly like a baseball swing, the hip turns over very fast. If you train with these guys and hold the pads, the kick feels exactly like a full force bat swing.
@@iraniandude2899 Also depends on which style, in traditional muay thai the knee is almost locked out, they just launch their leg right from the stance, not even bending it or anything, but in dutch style kickboxing they bend the knee a bit and extend just a few inches away from contact, like they're trying to chop 'em in half. (the dutch style kick is still referred to as a "thai roundhouse"

Which is why in normal muay thai rules, we use scores instead of knock outs.
To protect both parties, but when muay thai goes into a format that doesn't look at scores.
This stuff happens.
Muay Thai is made to kill or cripple opponents
@@noahshreve5237 overrated.
Krav Maga is purely for self defence; you can do fish-hooking, groin blows, eye-gouging, etc.
This might be the best knockout compilation I've ever seen and this is coming from a western boxing fan. Guess it's time to start conditioning my shins...
Hhh yeah i‘d suggest hitting against a hard sandbag first and later on preparated wood planks before going on actual trees, starting with bamboo
Banana Tree
I mean it's great, but not perfect. These knockouts were partly luck, as are many in general, it requires the opponent leaving an opening.
@@kbanghart knockouts are always based on luck
@@jebhank1620 I disagree, I mean the actual moment of knockout very much so because it is happening so fast, but many good fighters have trained to put themselves in position to make the chances higher.
3:15 lmao, that was a solid hit I'm a hundred percent sure he's dead

Lmao slapped the soul outta dude with his foot
Kudos to him for standing that long. Jesus.
he even did it like he's strolling in the park
Deadly slap... 100% Dead
“Oooooweeeeee” is all I understand 😂 🔥
Muay thei is one of the only martial arts that looks cool out of Hollywood films and is effective and doesn’t look stupid while using it
Definitely not a martial art but a sport.
@@ycls2004 it's literally one of the most effective standing martial art
We used in real war.
It's incredible how flexible yet strong and precise theses guys are.
This is why I love muay thai such direct accurate explosive blows very effective fighting style
It's not a fighting style, it's a killing style. The martial arts was made to cripple opponents.
3:14 It's like he slapped him with his foot! That was incredible!
"Is Lerdsila gonna try and finish him now?"
Lerdsila; "Yes."
4:55 that's we call a comeback
Respect for the Referees. Quick to recognize the fighters were out.
When I did Muay Thai kickboxing absolutely every one of my fights ended in knock out in under 10 seconds. I only quit because I was sick of getting knocked out.
Don’t give up
Love it! Been taking Muay Thai for about 6 years. Some of the best stand up iv ever learned. This is also coming from someone with 20-plus years of Jeet Kune Do.
What I really love about MuayThai is the discipline fighters have not like the mockery showdowns in MMA.
ikr
Yes because MuayThai is a sport that can use all part of body it's hard to read opponent mind surprise attack can come from nowhere. one mistake can lead you to hospital lol
2:20 thats the most powerful short distance elbow i've ever seen in my life
I like Muay Thai knockouts because at first it seemed so weak that you thought they were faking it and but then they showed the slow mo where you can see the impact and the sweat blown away then you changed your mind to: Ah that makes sense
Ok then! I’m gonna start training
mee too
sub you
cool dude
agree
nice photo
1:16 HOLY FUCK, the way his head bounced on the canvas. I haven't yet seen any KO's as brutal as the ones found in Muay Thai events. It is straight hand to hand COMBAT
I like how at that last fight, they just bring the autopsy slab right into the ring.
3:14 I like how casually he threw that kick.
That kick was anything but casually thrown
I have been watching MMA for some years and I can say that Muay thai is the most powerful and letal martial art on earth
4:32 -- Tiger Knee
Muay Thai is lethal huh. First time to watch this kind of fighting.
Yes, no wonder its called one of the best striking martial arts hhh
Everything is focused on damage and fast; let‘s take the taekwondo snap kick: you kick with the pad ( or with the shin, depends on which style) on a precise zone; in muay thai, you don‘t snap kick, your foot describes a diagonal line to be as fast as possible
@@insertname956 interesting, so you use your leg sorta like a baseball bat? Fully stretched out? Doesn't that damage the knee?
@@iraniandude2899 we dont streach the leg fully out. We have it a bit bent till compact. After compact we streach it out to like push away our opponent
3:15 was insane. So effortless.
1:17 one of the perfect examples of "NEVER DROP THIS DAMN REAR HAND WHEN THROWING THE PUNCH"
Oh ye I remember being in Thai boxing and he would say daddy goes to work mammy stays at home mammy goes to work daddy stays at home
@@tidbid1583 lol 👌✌️
That Lerdsila's kick was pure perfection. Perfect setup with teep, perfect feint into the highkick, precision, power, speed, everything is flawless.
Schiavello's call of it was perfect as well.
