Pharrell , I agree with you being different should be celebrated . Thinking for yourself and being a leader , comes in different packages . Some of our best lessens come from seeing something no one else does

He didn’t say everyone was different. He said what makes you different is what makes you special, with specific reference to people with ADHD. If everyone was different, then nobody would be different.

Everyone you talk to has ADHD these days (self diagnosed ofcourse) and if it's not that it's borderline or OCD or PTSD or something else.
So NOT having some sort of dissease/mental issue makes you "different" from the rest lol.

I've said that for decades...anyone who makes it to the top of a company is very "different' (not normal) than the rest. That's what makes them successful. We should all lean into that 'thing' we have.

Do you not think those that have ADHD have usually grown up under some form of hostile parenting and family adversities? Anyone that I have come across that has ADHD has always had a pattern in their upbringing that showed stress, tension and neglect in the household. So as much as I believe in celebrating being special and being unique, I am not sure we are born that way all of the time.

I have ADHD and I grew up in a very warm and loving family. That being said, being raised as I was led to a lot of support which has limited the impact of it on my life. I was diagnosed late, and that's probably why, but I still have the way my brain is for life.

A lot of disabilities are 'hidden', but still affect that person's life everyday- personally mine was caused by chemotherapy and is just something I've had to learn coping mechanisms for as the remainder of chemobrain will be with me for the rest of my life.
