    The funny thing is, the EV6 GT is not even a model 3 or I4 rival. That would be the model Y probably. That means if a D segment EVx comes out lighter and with similar motors it will be a rocket. Maybe we will see that with the IONIC 5.

    I'm waiting for the first acceleration test when the Ioniq 5 N are available. That have lounch control. And than a competition with a Model Y plaid would be interresting. Not realy fair, but interresting :-)

    Great test.
    Why have they not launch control in EV6 gt?
    My EV6 gt-line shoots away when I release break pedal with full throttle.

    Thanks Bjorn for this obvious comparison!
    The power drop is linked to the maximum speed admissible by the rotor, to increase the speed of the rotor it is necessary to reduce the flux which reduces the torque and the power available, it is moreover for this reason that a gearbox overcomes this problem.
    A comparison with the Taycan?
    See you!

    the new M3P motors have higher output (393KW) but is still slower at Autobahn speeds due to the inferior output of the 78kWh LG battery. There was a short period where the new motors came with the 82kWh Panasonic battery though.

    • @LuisRestleVEVO
      @LuisRestleVEVO 11 месяцев назад +2

      That's true. Unfortunately the LG battery (LG5L) has a bigger voltage drop and because of this less power.

      How can I determine which cells my 2022 M3P has? Doesn’t seem much faster than my 2020 LR with Acceleration Boost. I figured some of it was due to the heavy 20s on the stock M3P.

    • @LuisRestleVEVO
      @LuisRestleVEVO 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@kairojya You can look in your papers for the variant. E3LD (377kW) -> Panasonic. E5LD (393kW) -> LG. Also the LG battery cells were installed since Q2 (April) 2022.

      @@LuisRestleVEVO The Model 3 Performance with LG Battery is only faster from 0-100 vs the Model 3 Long Range from 2019. Above 100 km/h there is no difference between those cars. In the end. As you know, the M3P has more TopSpeed.

      Panasonics from 2021 are rubbish, most of them already replaced with improved version.

    Are you going to get Rivian ,Hummer, F-150 lightning and other big and small American EV's? Is it even an option? I Imagine in Scandinavia it would work better than in continental Europe because of low density population and very large density of charging stations

    Good autobahn tests :).
    It would be cool to see some 0-100kmh/t tests with the
    different settings in different cars. It would be a niche video.
    For exampel the EV6 GT:
    ESC: Normal, Sport or Off
    e-LSD: Normal, Sport or Sport+
    Suspensions: Normal, Sport or sport+
    Warm or cold tires
    Drift Mode
    I think GT Mode with warm tires will be fastest.
    Some people in Korea did manage to launch it at 3.086sec.
    I cannot verify if the masuring system they used is good or what tires.
    ruclips.net/video/4X6PfjMv9NY/видео.html Launches 2.30-4min.

    that Ev6 was on normal mode in the beginning.. not GT mode.....
    not what it was meant to be I assume ? sorry björn, not a real life test..

    • @bjornnyland
      @bjornnyland  11 месяцев назад +5

      Incorrect. This is in fact a real world test. In order to get max power you have to be in GT mode. In eco, normal and sport mode, you get only 360 kW. Pay attention to the purple "MY" at the bottom of the screen. That's GT mode, but custom.

    Who cares, so you got a car that can go 160mph, when was the last time anyone ever drove their car at that speed. Totally useless. I’d be much more interested in range and charging infrastructure, you know, the things that effect all ev drivers.

    • @StefanSulistyo
      @StefanSulistyo 11 месяцев назад +4

      People who drive on the German Autobahn are interested in Vmax.
      Also, GT buyers are not that concerned about range, otherwise they would go for a different trim or car (or constantly drive the GT in eco mode).
      Check Björn‘s other videos for range comments about GT or many other EVs (e.g. the 1000km challenges). In those, you will also find charging stuff, though probably not that useful for you to see Scandinavian and German charging infrastructure except maybe to compare to US.
