Great tutorial! Would this face-recognition tool work on a wider shot with several faces in it as well?
For sure! Just repeat the process for every face you want to blur.
I have a question @Chris Johnsson is there a way to make double layer censor lets say one is a moving object and other one is sometimes front of that object but once it is in the 2 objects in censor zone you can see the front one and the back one blurred ?
Yes, you can keep adding masks to the adjustment layer if you would like more censored areas. And if you want something “in front” of one area be visible you can turn that mask to subtract instead of add like the main mask is set to. Hope that makes sense!
Great video. Do you know how to tilt the mosaic effect like 45 degrees to make it look like a diamond?
Thank you! Good question, I’ve never tried.. Spontaneous thought would be to pre-comp the mosaic layer, rotate it 45 degrees and then add the mask. Probably not the best solution but maybe a start to your problem. 😁

can't change voice with After Effect? You have to use separate app?
You probably could change the pitch or sound of the voice in AE, but it’s not very comfortable working with sound in AE. I would change the voice when editing the video within DaVinci or Premiere. Try adjusting the pitch and see what that does. Not that big on editing audio effects I’m afraid. 🙈
Can we add an image or emoji from gallery to also track the face instead of the mozaic blur?
You probably could make that work with some of the ways from this technique. But I would look into using Mocha in After Effects, think that would suit your ideas better..

But what if someone passed the sensored guy? How do you remove the effect on him without canceling the first sensored?
I would create another mask (on the same layer as the mosaic effect) for the person or object passing in front of the censored person, but set the mask to “subtract”. That second mask should remove the mosaic effect from the first mask whenever they intersect.

@@user-bz1zq3tz4w I would try adding fractal noise to a solid, key frame the values and put a mosaic on a adjustment layer over that.
when i copy the mask it apear smaller and more down not at the right position
Make sure you’re play head is on frame 0 on the timeline when you paste it in, otherwise it might start at a different time than where you copied it from. Hope that works!
