For special occasions or when they are on offer. I usually give myself a treat for my birthday (if I'm not travelling). And if it includes breakfast buffet it would be a big plus coz in Malaysia it is normally amazing 😋
I love staying at a Ritz! The customer service is amazing. Everyone knows your name and says hello, and the food and beverages are amazing. I like to spend one night completely by myself in luxury once every couple of years if I can find a reduced rate.
From my experience, most of these super high end hotels are for business. For personal even if you are pretty wealthy, a typical 4-5 star hotel will do. In fact, they probably just get a suite. More worth it.
This is so amazing. I am originally from KL, and my home is just walking distance from where you guys stayed and I now live in London watching you both essentially touring my entire neighbourhood for me. Kuala Lumpur is an amazing city, and it has come a long way since I was little. Half of the buildings around Suria KLCC including the Four Seasons didn't even exist when I was growing up, just goes to show how much the city has developed. Well done you guys.
I appreciate your honesty and have to agree with you -- overpaying for accommodations in this day and age is more about vanity than about comfort when you consider the amount of affordable alternatives out there, not just in Asia, but in much of the world.
Stayed at the four seasons in Tunis last week. Booked thru Amex platinum travel and paid under $700 for three nights. Received $100 spa credit, early check in, 4 pm check out, free daily breakfast for 2, and upgrade to ocean front room. Absolutely amazing experience, thanks so much for this review. Looking to book this property this spring.
Love that you all got to experience some of that Four Seasons magic! Ella has a habit of just striking up conversations with the staff manning the chat on those iPads 😅 They’re always very gracious about it understanding that she’s a kid lol.
High end hotels in KL are really good value... when lockdown was relaxed but international travel was still limited, I did a lot of staycations (and the prices were really really good!) 😁 Hope you had a lot of good food whilst in KL
Have you tried the 4S in Jakarta guys? Highly recommend it for another special occasion as you say as I believe it is around the same price band and all rooms are suites. Safe travels!
Another wonderful experience you shared. I can't believe how much food you guys consume especially at the special DIM SUM restaurant that you were so happy to be at. That amount of food would last me a week. Stay well.
Thanks for this video! Going to KL in 2024 and this video has helped me decide whether or not to stay here. Next time you're back in KL check out W Hotels KL.
aku minum air luxury/fancy works! i agree with you on the luxury bit. i think for the price you got that was worth it. i think the rooms in the St Regis in KL look better. btw glad to finally see a KL video!
I love love love the Four Seasons hotels!!! I love the L'occtaine shampoo and soaps!!! You don't drink coffee? So the starbucks coffee card I got for you both I shouldn't send? 🙂
Fun video. Maybe I can get to KL next year. I laughed when you said sewing kit. In Chiang Mai last month I needed a sewing kit to fix a button and my hotel didn't have any. Thankfully there was a store about a five minute walk away with one. (I had spotted the store walking back after dinner the previous night)
Agree with you about the law of diminishing returns at luxury properties. Loved seeing your enjoyment of the food - Dan excitedly savouring an ice cream and Oskar meditatively munching on a local dish. See you soon. Best from London.
The Petronas towers were the tallest buildings in the world for a very short time. Taipei 101 took over a few months later. Very good vid again lads. I am looking to so SE asia next year.
The cheapest I paid for four seasons KL is during the covid season. A stay on 7th Feb 2022, I only paid RM 755 with USD 100 dining credit and late check out. Missed the old days but not the lockdown
Was tickled pink when Dan said he dreamed of that Chinese vegetarian restaurant in Bangsar because it's been my go to place to eat with my girlfriends over the years. Every single dish there is so good!
Can I just say, I ❤ that you're vegan!!! I get to actually see a travel vlog where I can actually eat the same😊 I'll be staying at the Four Seasons in Cairo in May, can't wait! Honeymoon trip🎉
I prefer to stay at an IBIS, Yotel, Best Western or similar mid range type of hotel that is modern, clean, sleek and minimalist. My main needs are a comfortable, soft bed, a large desk and chair, FAST wifi (don't underestimate this), strong AC if in Asia and a nice view for working. Then I'd spend the money I save on business class seats so that I can lay down flat and sleep for the long haul 10 hour flights. Flying is when you really need the luxury because you can't go anywhere and I'd rather avoid the torture of being stuck in economy and being forced to sit upright for 10+ hours when you're already exhausted.
Best Westerns wildly differ in quality because of the "Owned and operated by indpendent hotel owners". Some hotels give you free breakfast, mostly in the USA. Some won't, like in countries with a strict distinction between hospitality taxation and gastronomy taxation.
Oh wow! Thank you for this vid and video you made! My partner have been really wanting to stay in four seasons but since four seasons here in japan is so so so expensive we cannot afford it 1300$ per night 😓 because of this video we can go to KL at the same time enjoy staying in four seasons in a near future ❤️
Yes.. if the price justifies it. I have stayed at the four seasons Mumbai for under 200 USD. Per night . Also at the Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong and Shanghai when they just opened in mid 1990’s, for a little over 100 USD.
please. check out St Regis KL, biggest room in KL but I do prefer RCKL, old but the LOCATION! and hospitality .. most hotels in Kl and Asia in general u get impeccable service, Thanks for the great video!
Hey Dan & Oskar! I hope you both are doing well and surely wasn't expecting a comment out of the blue after 1 year in this video. Lol. Just wanted to share one thing on a part where City Hotels can be fun. Next time when you'll come, do check out Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur and W Kuala Lumpur. They did great job as "City Hotel" and you'll feel like worth the price.
Why do people have to say “ it’s my opinion” “in our opinion”? If you’re giving an opinion, you don’t need to say “it’s my opinion”-it’s a given-we know!
I recently stayed in KL at both the Grand Hyatt and St. Regis. Based on your room tour, I’d say St. Regis is more luxurious than four seasons and Grand Hyatt is comparable to four seasons. The Four Seasons brand is considered rather outdated amongst the upper class.
Depends on the location, Four Seasons has SO MANY Hotels that not everyone can stand up the quality of the NYC one for example, but in a lot of cities the best option by far is FS or Mandarin Oriental which is my favorite, if only they had more locations they would be #1 for sure, and St Regis just feels so old in a lot of their properties, not of my taste I guess.
I have been to EQ, Mandarin Oriental, Grand Hyatt and a few more 5stars hotels in central KL. However, i found that Four Season is a little more luxurious comparing to those. There is something about the extra fluffiness of the carpets, the towels, the BED of course! I don't know how to explain it. It is definitely better than all those hotels.
The place looks gorgeous and I am going to Maylasia on a gay atlantis events cruise in Nov. We only stop in two places but excited to see the country. I was worried because I thought Malaysia was anti gay but you guys booked a single bed with no issues.
So glad y’all enjoyed the Four Seasons in KL. Indeed Four Seasons is an amazing hotel after the Marriott also somewhere near KLCC. Maybe y’all could try that one too next 🥳
my most luxurious hotel stay so far was the Hilton. I got good service at the Hilton in Frankfurt and had to sleep with humming fridge at the Hilton LAX that I thought, that a road side Best Western Motel was better. Maybe if it counts: A nh collection Hotel in Aranjuez, Spain. My worst and least hotel stay was in Burlington, Ontario at the Knights Inn. I actually mistook the Four SEASONS with "Four POINTS" and thought that they were the same company.
"Cheapest" and "Four Seasons" in the same title! Haha! I can't afford any luxury, I prefer a good and clean mid to low priced hotel. I wonder if those still exist? Any extras I find around town.
hate the spoiler at the beginning... there's no reason to watch the video when you show off the highlights before it even starts. I basically know everything in first two seconds
Honest question: how do you feel about the risk of Islamic laws and punishments as a gay couple in muslim countries like Malaysia and Qatar? Somewhat puzzled about how you can be so positive.
😂Four Seasons is just one of many 5*chains, there are far more luxurious hotels in the world, if you want better check the Ritz - especially the London one.
Thank you for watching as always guys!!❤ What do you think? Are these ultra luxe hotels ever worth the price premium?
For special occasions or when they are on offer. I usually give myself a treat for my birthday (if I'm not travelling). And if it includes breakfast buffet it would be a big plus coz in Malaysia it is normally amazing 😋
I love staying at a Ritz! The customer service is amazing. Everyone knows your name and says hello, and the food and beverages are amazing. I like to spend one night completely by myself in luxury once every couple of years if I can find a reduced rate.

Are u guys still in.KL? Would love to take u on a tour of KLCC, Saloma Bridge and Kampung Baru
Where is your onlyfans?
This is so amazing. kl is a very underrated city. so nice there
Damn. U must be raised in a wealthy family

Thanks to our bougie role model Mrs Sognonvi✨ And yeeeees Ella😆
High end hotels in KL are really good value... when lockdown was relaxed but international travel was still limited, I did a lot of staycations (and the prices were really really good!) 😁 Hope you had a lot of good food whilst in KL

What fun video. When the food came to the table, my first thought was "Hmmm. No problem."
LOL I *always* appreciate a reminder of that magnificent press conference of Giuliani's!
🤣🙌
I agree with the restaurant!!!! I've been there and the food is so great!!!
OMG YES😍😭
big lol at the Giuliani reference, maybe my favorite "news" moment of all time
I mean, that HAS to be the most Veep or Curb Your Enthusiasm-esque moment in real life to ever occur😂
Dan, how do you get your hair so perfect?
Not Mrs Doubtfire; Chowder's mother! Excellent video,as usual. 👍❤️
Great video guys❤️❤️

13:39 this is no strawberry compone, but pomegranate!
"Aku minum luxury air." "Aku minum air...fancy." You guys nailed it! Hahaha!!
Hahaha glad to hear!!😆
Ah I really want to go!
Bar Trigona, Malaysia’s number 1 bar, in Four Seasons KL is definitely worth a visit. That’s what I go to the Four Seasons in KL for. 😂
Really a great hotel, club level was even a better deal when we stayed there ❤
Please do a podcast with @mamaksessions
Agree with you about the law of diminishing returns at luxury properties. Loved seeing your enjoyment of the food - Dan excitedly savouring an ice cream and Oskar meditatively munching on a local dish. See you soon. Best from London.
Oh ya, did you try the sharkfin soup at Nature’s Vegetarian Restaurant? It is divine!
Love the Four Seasons Landscaping joke.
And vegan food!
The Petronas towers were the tallest buildings in the world for a very short time. Taipei 101 took over a few months later. Very good vid again lads. I am looking to so SE asia next year.
Tallest from 1998 to 2003 is it a very short time?
0:25 Four Seasons Total Landscaping!! LOLOLOLOL
Awesome! What font are you using when writing a location in the bottom right corner?
The cheapest I paid for four seasons KL is during the covid season. A stay on 7th Feb 2022, I only paid RM 755 with USD 100 dining credit and late check out. Missed the old days but not the lockdown
you guys should do a skin care video !!
Love you guys. So sweet!
❤️❤️
Hey Dan and Oscar I like your videos😊❤🎉❤
Give EQ Hotel a try next time...fabulous
Was tickled pink when Dan said he dreamed of that Chinese vegetarian restaurant in Bangsar because it's been my go to place to eat with my girlfriends over the years. Every single dish there is so good!
OMG Nature's Vegetarian is a DREAM!
Love the Japanese Toilet a la Wisconsin, USA!!! :). Yeah, I know… it’s the bidet function… have Toto all over my home (in WI)!!!

We love love love getting comments like this from vegan viewers❤️ Enjoy and CONGRATS😍

Is that four seasons pool at 6:54?
I enjoy your videos Oskar and Dan

Welcome to Malaysia truly asiaa guysss 🎉🎉
The four seasons in Atlanta is cheap too and we booked it for $240-$260 many times. When I looked up the price in nyc I almost spit out my $6 coffee!
A large coffee at FS Downtown is $18 lmao
❤😮❤
Nothing beats Double Tree in KL :D But the FS is also great. Stayed in the Ambassador Suite and loved it.
Love and greetings from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤️ hope to one day you're come Bangladesh and explore my beautiful country 🌈🌿✨
Oskar is funny asf 😂😂😂
You guys should try to visit Bali & Lombok in Indonesia
nice hotel ! next time in KL try The Arte by Thomas Chan
Nothing like A Four Seasons hotel!
Yes.. if the price justifies it. I have stayed at the four seasons Mumbai for under 200 USD. Per night . Also at the Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong and Shanghai when they just opened in mid 1990’s, for a little over 100 USD.
Try Ruma Hotel. Also Shangrila Hotel has the best buffet spread....
please. check out St Regis KL, biggest room in KL but I do prefer RCKL, old but the LOCATION! and hospitality .. most hotels in Kl and Asia in general u get impeccable service, Thanks for the great video!
5:30 Oskar sounds like a mix between Julia Child and Hyacinth Bucket.
🤣

Have you been to Bodhi in Chinatown in NY? It's vegan and at least looks similar to what you got at the dim sum restaurant there
Yes we love it!!🙌
Have you two tied the knot? Or is it customary in Sweden to not wear wedding bands?
Dan.. u must try to eat best Chilli Crab in the world. It is Fatty Crab in SS2 PJ. not far from KL.

YES🙌
@@OskarandDan Next time guys, bring me some samples 🥰
world's cheapest four seasons is Tianjing or Shenzhen's Four seasons hotel in China
Welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾
I love Sheraton even though it's a little bit more expensive than most chains
The place looks gorgeous and I am going to Maylasia on a gay atlantis events cruise in Nov. We only stop in two places but excited to see the country. I was worried because I thought Malaysia was anti gay but you guys booked a single bed with no issues.
I like to stay at pricier hotels because they are much cleaner and there's less noise from neighbors :-)
So glad y’all enjoyed the Four Seasons in KL. Indeed Four Seasons is an amazing hotel after the Marriott also somewhere near KLCC. Maybe y’all could try that one too next 🥳

They're rich white tourists so they're protected from that.
😂Four Seasons is just one of many 5*chains, there are far more luxurious hotels in the world, if you want better check the Ritz - especially the London one.
How do I respectfully ask this.. uhh never mind 🙈
Oh and did you eat all that food in one day?? Or was that a week's ration?
Hah! We promise we eat less off-camera😉
Where is this?
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Malaysia
$200 wtf!!!!
You sure you ordered enough buns at the restaurant guys? 😆
In hindsight, we should've ordered their whole supply😂😭
Love how Oskar immediately after check in become Mrs Bucket that’s B U C K E T
Need to research Mrs Bucket🤣
Now that you have promoted the hotel... Demand is gonna soar and then it's no more the cheapest 😅
This is on a plane? No, wait......
