The gang is back. Laying down the law. Good work.
I have huge respect for Martin following this 2024 season!!
In equal machines MM will beat everyone so when MM has the best bike...
I think the mental aspect is equally as important as the bike or team chemistry. I liked Martin's obvious increase in maturity by pushing to get the best for today and letting the next race short itself out when he gets there.
THE key is .. his confidence & cohesion with the TEAM fine tuning the bikes .. there's little difference between the brands bikes .. remember what Rossi did with Yamaha that had been in a deep hole for a decade .. Aprilia can only build as good as what the rider can feed back
@@Errol.C-nzDucati are currently miles ahead of everyone else!
You bizarrely say little difference between bikes yet Ducati won every Sunday race apart from one 🤦🏾♂️🤣
It'll be an interesting year in motorsport. Marquez on GP25, Martin on an RSGP25, and Hamilton in Ferrari.
My money is on Hamilton. The Ferrari is much better on the brakes and can carry more corner speed than both the Ducati and the Aprilia.
The less spoken about Ham the better.
@@stoicthedog Current F1 cars rely more on corner speeds than being very late on the brakes!
Hence Hamiltons engineers saying Hamiltons early car's years ago were designed for late braking.
My top 5 for 2025: Marc,Pecco, DiGa, Pedro, Alex.
Positions 6-10: Martin, Fabio, Binder, Vinales, Aldeguer.
Marquez
Bagnaia
Martin
Bastianini
Acosta
The rest
Vinales will be the first KTM rider to win a race
DiGi will have an up and down season with as many top 5 as non points finishes
Fabio Q will creep closer to the front with a few top 5 finishes, the only Yamaha to do so
Marini out of GP after 25
Giannantonio won't finish in the top 5! Either will Alex Marquez lol.
If he gets the support from the factory and the team then he’s in with a chance, bike fitting and setup is key of course but he’ll be giving it a go for sure!
Exactly! Will be fascinating to see how it unfolds
@ yeah can’t wait for the tests and then the season to start, Ducati will obviously be pulling out all the stops to regain the riders championship but with Pecco and Mark both fighting for the championship it’ll be fascinating to see who they favour and with Aprilia pushing hard with Jorge and Marco it’s going to be an epic fight I think
He'll get the support just like Aleix and maverick
Unless the techs come up with a mini miracle I can't see it but he will definitely give it everything with or without the potential that's needed
Marc on GP23 would win more points in 2025 than Martin & Bezecchi on 2025 Aprilia and Enea & Maverick on 2025 KTM.
They have 0 chance against Marc on GP25.
@@CrashMotoGP
Why didn't anyone compare the Barcelona test times with the Q2 times in Barcelona?
No one noticed that after 20 laps on GP24 Alex Marquez with his 1:38,8 lap was 0,4sec faster than his 1:39,2 Q2 time on GP23.
He was fast as Jorge Martin in Q2 and only 0.2sec slower than Pecco Bagnaia's pole time.
That shows how much faster GP24 was than GP23
I WOULD HAVE LOVE TO SEE FQ20 ON A APRILIA,BECAUSE THE ONLY ONE WHO IS THE SAME OR FASTER THEN JM89 AT 1 ROUND QUALIFYING IS FQ20!!!APRILIA WOULD BE PERFEKT FOR FQ20!!!
I feel like the problem with aprilia is the braking, obviously it needs more power but the Ducati is a monster when it comes to the hard braking
If they get electronics right around the rear tire they can be up there. Obviously its electrpnics and gadets that ducatti do better. Arguably the aprillia is more effcient aero package
Aprilia went overboard on the areo in 2024. It was part of the reason tyre degrading was bad on the Aprilia.
Areo needs to be balanced like Ducati to stop unnecessary tyre wear...
I realy thought that Ktm will be the team to dethrone Ducati but after all the Ktm problems...there wont be no one close to Ducati.....Marq will dominate and Pecco will get some wins.. it will be a snooze fest😂
I Believe in miracles 😂
They will perform better Im sure of that, Martin is way better than Mav and Aleix ever were and Bez seems to be that good too
This is my thought, too. Best rider Aprilia have had in the MotoGP era and both of them, fresh off the best bike on the grid. This is their best opportunity to push the bike up a level. It's going to take time and I don't expect to see them fighting for the championship in 2025 but hopefully they'll be working in the right direction. Shame that half the MotoGP fanbase will write them, and especially Martin, off within the first 3 races.
Didn't Aprilia have engineering isues beyond rear grip? The heat was debilitating in hot weather and the clutch/gear box would occasionally disintegrate due to "clever" engineering decisions.
Plus the holeshot device was way behind Ducati & KTM who flew off the start grid most of the time.
But I have faith in Sterlacchini new technical director. He was held back at KTM by bad management!
I think Aprilia are taking a pretty big risk. How will the sponsors take having the #1 plate riding mid pack because the bike isn’t up to the task?
Aprilia don't have a main sponsor.
But Martin world champion & also Bezzecchi a Italian joining will attract some sponsors.
They have the defending champ, and C tier concession for 2025. They'll be competitive immediately, and dominant in the second half. Aprilia will get the title in the last year of the big aero 1000s. I'm wondering if this global recession will affect 850cc development for 2026
All the manufacturers (apart from KTM) have already started development of their 2027 bikes and 850cc engines.
If KTM don't start very soon then they won't be on the grid 2027!
@C--A in my opinion, modernized, injected 500cc twostrokes could hang now potentially. They would have to give them more fuel. The minimum weight is lower for them, too.
No... Cos all 4 of the aprilla riders are new. It'll be take a season to adapt to the bike. And start to invest in as per martin. But i think martin may finish in top 5 with the adrenaline that he has because of this year's win
Raul Fernandez isn't new, the rest are.
I personally think It's between Martin & Acosta for 3rd in the 2025 championship.
Doubt it, Martin ahs never had to work with a team to develop it in a direction, it's always been Bagnaia, and Martin got what Ducati gave to him. Plus Martin will spend most of his time getting upto speed on the bike, rather than developing it.
Yet Bagnaia copied Martin’s data consistently
@ianjohnson1207 The bike was always developed for Bagnaia though, Bagnaia and others in the team said so. So while Martin was better at setting it up, it was developed with Bagnaia's feedback mainly.
@@rauly93
Was it? All riders riding the Factory Ducati bikes have an input to the development direction of the bike, that’s why Ducati are so dominant
Because the bike then becomes rideable for many riders not one. Developing a bike by one rider doesn’t work, look what at happened at Honda.
Pecco lost the title because he made too many mistakes, trying to look for ways to say Martin doesn’t really deserve it says an awful lot about you
@@rauly93Wrong dude. Go read Dall'Igna interviews and he specifically says Ducati take every riders imputs.
The bike isn't designed for one rider. It's designed as a bike any rider style can ride fast.
@ianjohnson1207 wrong.
I think the final podium ot 24 will be the main protagonists of 25.
What if Motogp had a tire freeze after the last race of the season? They could release the new tire for the end of season test and then have to stick with that tire for the whole next season. It would be like the development freeze for engines that already exist. This would give the teams a chance to develop the motorcycle around the tire before the start of the next season.
And that is the problem...designing a bike around a tyre...
The tyres are practically the same as last season so every team has no excuses!
The new front tyre is getting tested during 2025. And will be available for races in the 2026 season.
.you must be confused, thinking a MotoGP Team, any team, in this case Pramac, changed to Yamaha because Jorge (rider they would loose anyway to Ducati or Aprilia).. He knew, as Marquez did, that Pramac would change manufacturer (therefore Marc always said that Pramac would not be an option).. Jorge moved for the factory status and money of Aprilia, because there will be other Ducatis 2025 on the grid, he would have access to , besides the Ducati Official Team.. Marc was recently in a spanish podcast (the guy from "Chiringuito" caffee podcast or something, that i watched, and told that he (Marc), never said no to Gresini next season for example, with condition of a 2025 bike.. He, was surprised Martin moved away from opportunity of other available 2025 Ducati on the grid next season in the VR46 who had seats available for next season and 2025 Ducati/s.. ..Martin won by a whisker, and almost happened like last year when he blew opportunity to be champion.. He will be another Joan Mir.. I still consider Bagnaia superior to him, but consider Quartararo, , Acosta, and maybe others, superior to both of them..and definitly Marc Marquez superior to them all, in all fields ! Lets see, if next year the championship is decided in last race..lets see.. Aldeguer can be a surprise..Yamaha will be strong...ktm and Aprilia, lets see.. Aprilia had wins these last years/seasons... Lets see if Martin can beat his team mate and keep Aprilia tradition of some wins..or what..
I definitely agree with the Pramac to Yamaha switch being the main driver of the Marquez and Martin moves. Obviously Marquez and Martin were told in confidence about the Pramac move and that's why Marquez responded to a question about moving to Pramac with "Pramac is not an option because it's not an option". Everyone wrongly thought that meant he was playing hardball about getting the official factory red Ducati bike but he responded that way because that's all he was allowed to say.
@@SaveTheHumans4Later It's all a bit unclear to me what the actual timeline is, as there seem to be two trains of thought:
- Did Pramac decide to switch to Yamaha AFTER they heard that Martin was going to leave them for Ducati?
- Or did Martin know he had to leave Pramac after HE heard that Pramac was going to switch to Yamaha?
It's still strange how Pramac tried to blame Ducati for their own decision to switch to Yamaha though.
@@tjroelsma A Team, doesn't move factory, because a rider ! ..also, the logic would be what? Since Ducati official team does not accept our rider, to get out of our team, so we will not have him in our team, we will move to another factory, even though he will move to Aprilia?? That thought presented by some commentators is ridiculous !
Pramac had decision taken..Ducati knew it, because they are the manufacturer and had also decided to have less bikes on the grid..Of course Martin knew it..Marquez knew it..Yamaha knew it and had deal already in place.. they would however only anounce it after Martin had his future secured.. As i said, Martin would have opportunity to move to another 2025 Ducati in VR46 team..and fight equal to equal with Bagnaia and Marquez..but he went after Aprilia status and money.. In normal circunstances, personaly, Bagnaia is stronger than Martin..like many others!
In a word
Wrong
@@SaveTheHumans4Later
Then go back and listen to Marc’s interviews at the start of the season
He was never accepting anything but a Factory ride with Ducati
Also go back and listen to Paolo Campinoti he explains why Yamaha
What people need to understand is that Martin cannot use the the riding style on Aprilia next year. Ducati is totally different from Aprilia and you have to ride them differently. Look at Marquez right now on Ducati, he is riding different than before because of the bike. So he will need to learn once again how to ride this Aprilia bike in a different way to be fast if not it’s going to be a long 2 seasons for him.
No matter what you are saying, I am 100% convinced that Michelin is working with Ducati behind closed doors.
Every time other manufacturers were coming close on a new tire, Michelin was introducing a new one. And strangely, only Ducati was spot on😂
Come on, guys, it is too obvious.
I don't think so lol. As remember in 2017 Vinales won first 3 out 5 races for Yamaha then tyre changed and he was nowhere!
It's simply Ducati are doing more data analysis etc on tyre wear etc. And how aero, chassis interacts with the tyre.
Aprilia, KTM, Yamaha, Honda need to step it up big time!
Cota came before mugello after mugello Ducati found something and waved goodbye to everyone else
No, I don't think so.
Nope

Ego and pride was Jorge mistake when he felt he was passed over compared to Marc. He could have gone to a Duc satellite team and still have a GP25 like Fabio. And as for Vinales, jumping from a outfit to one that is going bankrupt !😆
Did he jump, or was he about to be pushed?
@ianjohnson1207 ..my guess was when Ducati took their time to decide whether it was him or Marc, the man felt he was 'not deserving the attention' he deserved, if you know what I mean.
And in spite, left for Aprillia. Guess it was his way of saying and he did say in words,"If Ducati don't think I'm good enough for the factory seat, there are plenty of other factory team who will".
A decision he will of course regret in 2025. He could always had been able to still stay in a satellite team with a GP25 like Fabio.😆
@@kengleetan63
I’m talking about Mavrick, jumping before he was pushed
Ducati wanted their cake and to eat it, their plan was was Martin and Pecco Factory team and MM in Pramac
Marc was only every going to ride in the Factory team in 2025, he called their bluff and won
@ianjohnson1207 l As to why he jumped to KTM from Aprilla, I was surprised too.
Maybe when Aprillia took in Jorge, they could not agree to Vinales salary terms with Aprilla.
But I bet by now, Vinales was surprised too when he found out he had jumped to a company that is already on the verge of being bankrupt, actually KTM is already bankrupt, they could not even pay their factory staff their 2024 yr end pay.
The joke was and can't confirm the truth, he was not buying KTM shares as a show of confidence in KTM but was paid with shares in kind ( which by now could be pretty worthless) when KTM could not pay him in Euros!🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆😆
@@kengleetan63 Martin won the 2024 championship (would be different if he lost it) so he has no regrets joining Aprilia for 2025!
Plus Martin can make more history with Aprilia. Help turn the bike into a championship winning bike.
Maybe not in 2025. But 2026 or 2027 is possible...
Maverick never knows why anything happens…good or bad…”I dunno “ is his go to…always has been…
Aleix and the Trackhouse riders said the exact same comments as Vinales.
I think Martin will be a One Hit Wonder
Short answer... No
