      Yeah 1,8 BILLION in debt for KTM alone is not something that can easily be overcome, let alone the total of 3 BILLION in debt for the Pierer Mobility Group.
      The question is how the he*** they've managed to rack up that much debt to begin with, as they must have been totally brain-dead?

    The fact that KTM have stopped the development of next years MotoGP bike until atleast after the first tests is bad news for the riders season, if they still have one come that time.

      I can’t see them on the grid by the time the new regulations come in. The only good thing is Suzuki are making noises about coming back for then.

      I read a lot of this online, but honestly my 550 mxc and 690 smc have been the most bulletproof reliable bikes I’ve owned…besides the Hondas.

      Nothing wrong with my KTM and it’s far from the most “premium”priced in its class. KTM’s issues come down to their management over capitalising in too many projects, companies in an economy that couldn’t support the growth.

    Not all numbers are correct but there is quite a debt.
    Ler’s hope they find a solution since KTM makes great bikes.
    They are too big to just vanish. Now would be actually best time to get KTM at some deal price.

    Budgets are voted and allocated year-on-year. The 2025 MotoGP racing budget has already been defined. The Dakar budget has also been allocated.
    But 2026 not;
    I am guessing in the 2025 budget, there was provision for the 2027 bike. But nobody knows what is going to happen if the creditors take over after the self administration period of three months.

    Spread themselves to thin, made too many bikes that are similar 790, 890, 990 parallel twin nakeds and adventure on same platform, marmite styling with limited colour choice, premium pricing on unreliable bikes, charging customers for full electronic package, times are changing people want cheaper bikes like Honda's new cb1000 for 9 grand.

    The problem is young folk don’t ride bikes , except Asia , at a bike rally we struggled to find 2 people under 30 , bikes in Australia are picked on by police and young people can’t afford fines or loss of license also with the economic situation race meeting are hugely expensive due to insurance

    all the dealers can do is discount the previous year models and order less, and Ktm will trim and produce less, KTM like most companies will be fine, the sold count is probably counted when dealers accept them, they will figure it out.

  • @Nyx_88888
    @Nyx_88888 Месяц назад

    well cost of living crisis is a real driver of lower sales, Ktm makes some of the best bikes ever, but these are toys and if people dont have disposable income its hard to sell them, makes sense, its happening to plenty of companies but no one wants to accept we are having a type of recession. Its not really a fault of KTM, not sure what they can do to fix these external issues at the time

    I think KTM's survival will depend on whether or not they are considered too big to fail. They will likely need a bail out from the Austrian government or EU. Austria has been a little reluctant in its support for financial assistance to Ukraine. The EU will likely punish Austria for this and 'help' KTM go away. It's going to be a rough road ahead.

    Ramp up CFmoto production to make smaller cc bikes/scooters for the Asian market like what the Japanese do but slap a KTM logo on it and not CFmoto and make it look like your getting a low cost KTM would probs sell better to me in that market , like walking into you local scooter dealer and you can have a brand new honda or a cfmoto.For the mass market who dont know about brands and stuff they would just choose the honda over brand recognition.

    I hear that Bajaj are major shareholders in KTM if true will they use this to take over control of KTM and if they did that how would that change things going forward .KTM have had issues with their bikes sold in the market and they have this strange attitude to customers where they give their bikes all the gizmos for 6 months then switching them off and the customer has to pay yet again to get them back not a great business model when compared to the chinese bikes that have it all from the off included in the price and are improving all the time as do all other brands too 👍 .
