Just because a car is ludicrously expensive, that doesn't mean all of its parts are uniquely milled from unobtanium. Occasionally, supercars borrow parts from much cheaper cars, and occasionally their unique parts look identical to those found on very ordinary motors!

Many parts look alike, but the Lamborghini Diablo headlights, ARE the headlights from the Nissan 300ZX, they even have the Nissan logo on it.
Alexis González Lamborghini make some special material to cover the logo so u don't really find it was the Nissan headlights
Yin Wang Lee I'm sure the serial number or references are still the Nissan one !
Lamborghini puts a fancy carbon fiber molding over the Nissan logo at top of headlight. The Z32 Nissan headlights I would say are the most iconic headlights of the 90s
Even I watch Doug de muro
They simply covered the logo with a carbon fibre piece.
The buggati and the civic both have steering wheel
ofc
I never knew that a Honda Civic had a steering wheel!
Jose Haro Bugatti isn't a model
+Pure Competizione who needs sneering wheels?
you dont need sneering wheels, but you do need steering wheels
Yo bro, my tractor has got pagani backlights 😂
I expected it to be lamborghini
I expected it to be lamborghini
Tamer Ursavas lol
Tamer Ursavas a class jaguar
That class jaguar New costs around €350k-€400k so its not so cheap
Those Nubira and Maserati rear lights have only one thing in common - they are rear lights.
Exactly.
early pre-facelift cars bear a lot more resemblance, that is a 2011 (?) Quattroporte which has newer lights
Who was that fish in the end
Blackpanthaa
+Arbaaz Javed blub
+BlackPanthaa plub
+BlackPanthaa LOL
+Arbaaz Javed Ice JJ fish
Would be more interesting to show the same parts rather than ones that look similar
+James Lloyd This video has a mix of both
Random fact, the Diablo didn't get the 300ZX lights to replace it's popups until 1999 when it was face-lifted. That means in 1999 Lamborghini thought the best way to make their 1990 car look more modern was to fit the lights from a 1989 Nissan, and to add even more comedy, Nissan face-lifted the 300ZX in 1999 and replaced the lights!
Lol what a coincidence!
Ubersonic they didn't use nissan lights, they are just similar, if you look carefully you'll notice that nissan lights are bigger, so
lambo didn't borrow anything from nissan
nope, they are really similar. There are videos with proves.
No if you remove the carbon fiber strip from the top of the Diablo lights there is a Nissan badge underneath it.
Davide Latini, really? Because even the owner of the Diablo just proved this fact: ruclips.net/video/gotyqp7BSmg/видео.html
So yes, the ultra-exotic, mega-expensive Lambo did use a Nissan part.
Both cars have four wheels..........same!
+Nigel Saunders
Basically what this list narrowed down to...this was awful.
Nigel Saunders, The Bonsai Zone b
You can put on both shirts..... DIFFERENT!!!
Nigel Saunders, The Bonsai Zone iiii
Nigel Saunders, The Bonsai Zone of
some of these are a stretch..
The Bugatti one was a riot 😂😂😂
Lol comparing VW Golf GTI and a bin...
Platinumero NeoN I would have compared the golf to the Vauxhall and the Bugatti to the wheelie bin ^^
that golf should feel honored.
SteensRow
Platinumero Nath and it's not even a car at all lol 😂
trash bin*
Also, not only did Lambo use the headlights from the 300ZX, so did the Bugatti EB-100: the fastest production car in the world at the time of its release. Those headlights have some hardcore pedigree and Nissan nailed it.
I thought this video was about the SAME parts used in different cars like vw toureg parts used in porsche cayanne etc. instead it was about generic designs in plastics...
Hey guys, I wanna share a secret!
Porsche did 9/11
Got it?
+Jeremy Clarkson nice one, old chap
***** Topkek
Jeremy Clarkson hows Capt. Slow?
***** Slow as always...
***** LOL.

What a hero
+Car Throttle yes hes a hero of plebs
+Car Throttle don't you mean what a pleb
+Car Throttle seat ibiza 2013 = lamboghini galado airwents (inside)
+Car Throttle he was my inspiration to start making vids
"Expinsive rides" puts in a fucking golf
+lowie da bozz Compared to a rolling trash can, it's an expensive ride
Gary actually i can, golfs are cheap af that why they are so popular
+lowie da bozz in my country, it's pretty much expensive
+lowie da bozz golfs arent cheap
Cameron Mcmaster yes they are
So a similar style or even shape equates to being the same parts? This list is terrible, shame on you.
Here I was thinking this list would include things like a Shelby or Pantera using a massaged ford engine and similar examples not a lame sesame street learn your shapes skit.
the community suggested them what do you expect
+MrOpenCarry
Thanks, I was just gonna write the same.
MrOpenCarry so the Lamborghini Diablo does actually have the headlights used in the Nissan 300zx with the Nissan logo on it, just hidden under the bodywork. lambo couldn't get their own lights dot approved in time for the launch of the vehicle and used nissans.
Stephen Butler that is a lie because the Diablo is older than the 300zk so Nissan copied it!
earlier diablo models had popup headlights, when they did a facelift, they took bought some nissan headlights instead if designing their own
Or the cheap cars borrowed it from the expensive cars..
Incorrect
+Olsy 77 mindblown.
+NRIautos true broo my dad has 4 300zx's and he always brings up the topic of the 3oozx headlights which the Lamborghini has the exact headlights ..
Think before you speak. The idea is to cut cost so it would make more sense that the luxury brand borrowed from cheaper brands. Its not hard to grasp.
+Olsy 77 You need to sell a lot of cars to make up for the cost of the tooling for a specific part, sure super cars and luxury cars are more expensive, but it is stil a niche market dwarfed by the market for regular cars. Through technology gets developed by niche cars that are later used in regular cars, economics dictates that it goes the other way when we are talking about parts that are not performance enhancing.
Are u fing kidding me. Half of the shit actually were not the same. Because they look kinda the same doesn't mean they came off the same assembly line(part line).
I thought the same thing , I can't believe they actually made this video .
I think the Renault Clio V6's headlights are taken from Renault Clio 1.4 MPI.
the renault clio 1.4 MPI is tuned to a v6 i think.
one difference with the Bugatti rims... they're forged... the Vauxhal's rims are just gravity cast
And next do : 10 cheap rides with parts borrowed from expensive cars ;)
+ Lamborghini Aventador, so much Parts are from Audi´s
Audis*
+GEMC I wonder why...
lamborghini and audi are part of the vw group which includes vw porcshe audi lamb bugatti ect
Because it is an audi and audis are VWs
#BringBackLamborghini
+GEMC no shit, lambo's are designed by audi
Fun fact 0:37 , that carbon fibre piece at the top of the headlights on the lambo diablo was used to hide the information strip and Nissan codes
rear lights: Mondeo mk1 saloon / Noble M12
Coup-ay? Zed? Wheelie bin? We're on the other side of the planet for sure.
+Ryan Z (SofaKingSteezy) people talk differently throughout the world bro
+Lysol and bananas I'm aware.
well zed is also how canadians say z....
renamed video to "a mix of car brands borrowing parts and coincidental design similarities."
the comparison to the garbage can at the end made the whole video. props to you car throttle, props.
When you want a Golf but your wallet wants a wheelie bin
Fucking clickbait, this video should be titled "parts that look alike".
true
first part was probably the only same part. the rest was just look alike
the diablo has indeed Nissan-Headlights.. so #2 is true
the lamborghini diablo indeed has nissan headlights.
adrian5b every part they showed was true , do some research. -_-
Tail lights: Noble M400 & Hyundai Sonata, if you don't believe me: i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--DVPJUK4N--/c_scale,fl_progressive,q_80,w_800/18nclq3zd0u01jpg.jpg
Ya true but we all know hyundai are copy cats and like to take parts from high end cars to make their cars look better even with the design. Which annoys me
Bouboule199612 True.
+🔰Darude Her Right In The Sandstorm™ Wow! Good catch
+🔰Darude Her Right In The Sandstorm™ Used to live next to a Noble Dealership in Leicester, and it annoyed me that the M12 had CLK ~2000s headlights
+🔰Darude Her Right In The Sandstorm™ The earlier M12 had the rear lights from a Ford Mondeo (UK) Saloon.
Others include:
TVR Griffith - Lights from Vauxhall Cavalier MkIII, turned upside down
Jaguar XJ220 - Lights from an early Rover 200
Mk2 Lotus Esprit - Lights from Rover SD1
Lotus Excel - LIghts from Rover SD1 turned upside down.
See now I wonder what a rear light at the pagani zonda dealer costs.... While in your average auto shop probably 5 bucks xD!
This is actually funny as hell! you should make more videos like this.
that last car cracked me up!
I thought more about for example cheap interior plastic parts put in expensive cars rather than borrowed design elements.
everything from the volkswagen group
The Aston Martin db7 used the mx5 mk1 (NA) interior door handles
Who is using his last 4% of battery to watch this?
GTA&co lol
Great video, the last one was hilarious.
Vauxhall Insignia VXR (Opel Insignia) Is not a ''cheap car''. The newest models are actually pretty expensive and luxurious aswell . Of course it's nothing compared to the bugatti, but it's definitely not a ''cheap car'' that anyone can afford.
Who would want it anyway
+Chatta290 lol
+Chatta290 true
Thank God the F1 taillights were on there. I find that hilarious
this 2.35 minute video took me more than 10 minutes to watch. thank you ttnet for making this possible.
Just going to point this out here: the reason you see so many borrowed head/tail lights is likely because of the safety and other requirements these have to meet and it's much easier to just use an off-the-shelf part than design and qualify custom head/tail lights. You buy a supercar for the body, engine, and suspension, not the for the radio or headlights.
Also it's very very expensive to tool up to build only a few lights. OEM lights are at least tested and pass the various countries design rules to allow the vehicle to be sold there. Production tooling and compliance costs are more than huge so it's easier to borrow from other mainstream manufacturers.
Mclaren used VW Corrado side view mirrors
You could have said that the Ford GT and many Ford group supercars use the same keys that were used in mk3 Escorts and mk2 Fiestas in the late 80s
The rear lights on the McLaren are also stolen off my school bus
Lol, I've only heard of the Diablo and 300zx. Oh and the Saleen s7 lights, those are everywhere. The last one was good.
I don't want the Car throttle app.
Dont get IT then
what about the Aston Martin v8 vantage key? that's taken directly from a Volvo, if you peel off the leather there's still a Volvo logo underneath
really?
Is true, google it.
+Dylan Collins the satnav is also volvo.
+Tom Jacobs Wow magnificent work by Aston Martin
+Khalid Belhachmi great work by Volvo you mean :P

Older lamborghini shares some parts from nissan
Newer lamborghini: ruclips.net/user/shortsfea0_TDQZYo?si=JQJHNA_0KkGhXw-G
the last one made me lol-out-loud! (lol)
"bumper rear light"
koeningsegg agera
Rx-7
Actually those rear lights were on a lot of koenigseggs like cc8s, ccr and ccx before agera
Watch the headlight of ccx and rx7 veilside. It was same I guess...
Large, modern combines are super expensive though!
You can do a complete video like this about the Lotus Esprit. The doorhandles from a Cavallier/Vectra, gearbox from a Renault 25 etc. You'll be done quick with the Audi A3: Same as a Seat Leon/VW Golf on all parts an ordinary consumer couldn't see or distinguish.
MORE LIKE THIS PLZ!
Porsche 924 2.0 engine taken from VW LT Van
+davidrobert2007 Thats because Porsche was Volkswagen in that year. They became separate in 1985 ( I think).
Some are legit, others look slightly alike. Because of that this video doesn't deserve a like nor a dislike :)
+Animiles wow you're a buzzkill
Late '70's Lotus Esprits used to have door handles from the Morris Marina. Lotus also plundered the Citroen parts bin for switchgear and mirrors. The Aston Martin DB7 used Ford Escort switchgear. Small volume British car manufacturer, Ginetta, use Mazda MX-5 headlights on some of their cars and on and on it goes...
Almost 1 million Subcriders Congratulations boys!
BLACKPANTHAA IS HERE
do any of them fit my honda
Look into the Melkus, DDR's only production super car. that had a whole bunch of parts for Trabant and Wartburg, the rear grill is the front grill of a Trabant, the rear lights could also be found on Gotha trams, the Trabant Kübel / Trabant Tramp. the engines for the first series were modified Wartburg engines.
One more significant addition in the rear lights category. Jaguar XJ220 got its rear lights from the Rover 416 GSi.
The Bugatti car key is exactly the same as the normal Volkswagen car key.
Which Bugatti?
Pure Competizione veyron
maybe it's because Bugatti is made by Volkswagen group ?
lol the veyron in ways is like a beetle
Aye I wanna be at the end
Gingium!!!!? I'm a sub #BrapNation
thank god you didnt mention LEDs because thats gonna need a full video LOL
that wheel bin had me 😄😄😄
Omg blackpanthaa was in the end off the video
Volvo XC-90 and Noble M600. Same engine.
Qasim Mir so do Lotus Evora and Toyota Camry. But, the point is about tuning.
I'm An Orange Yeah. I know 😳
The Countach's headlights are the same as the Fiat 131, the backlights are from and Alfa Romeo Alfetta and the turn signals are from a Lancia if i'm not wrong
Aston Martin DB7 with Mazda 323F taillights looks awesome!
You Missed the DMC DeLorean-12 and the 1987 Chevy Camero
DMC DeLorean - 12: mikeshouts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Nike-6.0-DeLorean-Dunk-img2-544px.jpg

I'm early let me think of a joke...
Honda.
lol
woaw that's so true and original not
Wow
+MRsjovealek I had no idea your were on car throttle either lol
even better joke.. vtec😂
Alex, you have a miata, what about the DB7 interior door handles that are the same as the miata?
Wheelie bin!?😂😂😂
Not even the PRIUS would copy that
half of this is legit, the other half is BS. lol
Of course that's because the vw belongs in the garbage bin lol
Boooom! Headshot
+Legacy Turbo NEED SOME ICE FOR THA BURN
I'm only liking this video so I can have it in my disposal whenever I wanna show my friends that a car stole its wheel design from a wheelie bin
Lotus have been raiding other car manufacturers parts bins for years.
The Esprit V8 used (Among MANY other parts) Citroen CX door mirrors, A Renault 21 gearboxes, and Vauxhall Calibra door handles.
The early ones had Austin Allegro door handles, Rover SDi rear lights, And Citroen DS23 gearboxes........ Lotus really were the scavengers of the car world. :)
Lotus also used the SDi rear lights on the old Eclat, But mounted them upside down, That's a trick TVR followed along with by using mk3 cavalier lights upside down on the back of the Griffith.
well u can say that vw cars are TRASH
What about the Nissan Quest GXE wheels from 1996-1999 vs baby stroller wheels?
Shoutout to Mid 00s Ferraris dipping into the FCA parts bin and having the same radio as the Jeep Grand Cherokee
A lot of Aston Martins have Volvo keys, heater vents, navigation systems and switches.
A lot of Lotus' have switches from Opel/Vauxhall.
TVR Griffiths rear lights are from a Opel Vectra A / Vauxhall Cavalier.
the GTI was funny.
and the 300zx is soon sick, used to have one of those always loved the styling of that car
Here's a fun fact. Back in the 60's a handful of Rolls Royce cars were equipped with PowerGlide (chevy) transmissions. My grandfather worked for GM back then and worked on a Rolls once. It had a GM transmission. Another fun fact, the 1990's Land Rover has a Buick engine.
Does the 1989 Batmobile count? Because that had headlights borrowed from a Honda Civic and are turned upside down.
Some Aston Martins used parts like turn signal levers from cheap Fords like the Focus.
Dont forget the Jaguar XJ220 rear lights = Rover 400.
TVR Chimera rear lights = MK3 Escort.
TVR Griffith rear lights = Vauxhall Cavalier (turned upside down) :)
Did you guys forget about the door handles on the inside of the mx-5 and an Aston Martin DB-something. You guys pointed it out in the video about things you didn't know about the Miata.
Don't forget how the blinkers in a 90's Corsa show up on many other cars, like Lotus Elise
What about the turn indicators from Mk3 Mondeo/Mk1 Focus found on Murcielago?
About the Chiron rims.
Have you seen the new Chevy Suburban/Tahoe rims?
You missed late model Citroen CX door mirrors, they were literally on everything rare in the 80s and 90s! TVR, Lotus, Aston Martin, Jag XJ220 even the early Maclaren F1s and many more.
Lol they forgot McLaren f1,Tvr, and Bugatti EB all have mirrors taken from vw Corrado
That's what I was thinking.
dont forget the Callaway C5 Corvette Taillights and the Vauxhall Tigra, which is acutally based on a Vauxhall Nova :D
Window controls- Dodge Grand Caravan ($19000-40000)/ Maserati Ghibli ($75000-120000+)
Same thing with some of the higher end Chrysler head units, the head unit in the Ferrari FF tested on Top Gear was looked just like the ones in my Chrysler 200 and my Sister's Challenger R/T.
Also, Aston Martin Virage got the rearlights of the VW Scirocco Mk. II and front lights of an Audi 200.
cannot unsee this lol
Diablo was borrowing headlight from 300zx. But,Diablo has added a carbon piece to hide the nissan logo
lol...this one made my day
What’s the name of the music? I know it’s by Tom Kent but what’s it called?
if I'm not mistaken that aston has 626 interior door handles, volvo central locking and escort roof brackets on the volante.
The Vauxhall insignia vxr is the same exact thing is a Buick regal 2016 :)
