I'd be really curious to know whether the LS is in more cars than the Modular or not. I feel like the LS is the "go to" for everything, but it sure seems like supercars are Ford powered (if not AMG powered)

I'm impressed by your ability to generate new topics. How about "cars designed to look like other (specific) cars", i.e. the Granada designed to look like a Mercedes. There's plenty more there if you need ideas (not bad for just off the top of my head)

Additionally, the McLaren F1 uses mirrors from the Volkswagen Corrado, and the Ford Duratec I4 motors (most notably from older focus models) were used in TONS of cars such as the BAC Mono, i think a Lotus, and others
EDIT: The duratec 4 cylinder platform was co developed by Mazda so it's in a bunch of Mazda 3's as well

the aston martin db7 tailights is not from a mazda series 3 but its predecessor mazda 323 and more specifically mazda 323f astina, which is one of my favourite cars

Just to correct you the DB7 was never a James bond car. The DB5, V8 Vantage, Vanquish and DBS were. The BDS does look like a DB7 but is actually the faster DB9.

Just a note on the Ford modular V8, great engine: never used by TVR. Ford 302’s we’re put in TVR’s in the late 60’s and early 70’s but most conversions were done here in the states.
European ford (cologne) v6’s were put in a lot of 80’s TVRs.
The most common V8 in a TVR was from Rover which the design originated from Buick. All other later TVR V8’s were made for TVR by Al Melling. TVR’s last main engine was an in house straight 6 which is what was in the Sagaris you showed a pic of.
I just thought about this but the pagani keys cost as much as a literal car because the key is $6,000

Uh. A better mention for the 996 and 986 would be not the shared Porsche parts but maybe the fact the headlight switch is the same in both Porsche cars.... and in Volkswagen Jetta. And some other parts in both cars are found in Volkswagen and Audi cars.

At one point, Saab was owned by GM. Then Saab kept trying to develop their own parts, instead of sourcing their parts from GM's parts bin, which GM didn't like.
Yeah and another example some Cadillac sports car share some parts with the Corvette and same with Pontiac. 'Cause it's GM and quick sidenote to anyone who doesn't know Pontiac has been out of business since like 2009 due to being bankrupt and had to shut it down completely by 2010.

My sc300 shares an insane amount of parts with the supra, they were even built alongside each other
At minimum, the Audi RS2 shared fog lights and turn signals with the Porsche 993. Being a Porsche tuned Audi, there were probably other parts as well.

I can't believe I traded my 96 z32 for an 86 1st gen 4runner. Was a nice truck and funny breaking peoples necks when they hear the blow off valve on some big boxy off roading rig going down the street but I kick myself in the nuts every year on the day I let my z32 go. Definitely miss that beautiful car and those T-tops.

Somewhat silly video idea. Cars that can use the same part(s). Ie, the round aftermarket headlights that the Wrangler has that can go in a Bronco, Miata and a few others
That's due to the old law in the US where headlights needed to be a 7 inch circle. It's not that the parts are the same because manufacturers traded parts, it's because the law made it impossible to have different styles.
