I played this song in middle school. I loved playing this song because it sounded so beautiful. Here I am now a 20 year old man and it's just as beautiful as I remember
I remember playing this for 8th grade graduation, the last year my band teacher for my middle school band career and I actually felt really sad that he was leaving. Nevertheless, I'm glad I found this again. I can live out the good old days again! Also, percussionist over here!
Found this again after three years having been reminded of it. Actually cried listening to it thinking about the good old days gone by, and wondering how my old friends were doing. I've been through some shit so hearing this reminded me that it's okay to sad and that I have friends who treat me well as I should be. The nostalgia hit and I felt like I was back in the last concert I played this in. Truly wonderful what music can do.
@@Bird_Nerd_Kae i am currently in university rn, and im still in percussion, but freegameryt couldnt get into the university band :( we tackle much harder pieces than this one now, its not easy
Legit not hating sry but the first and- lol- last full measure are purcussion😝😂 although I do agree there isn’t a lot of percussion in the middle parts of the song
michael sweeney is my favorite composer, im gonna try to get all his songs in sheet music for the trombone, not to close to that yet though, only have about 5 of his pieces but all the ones i listen to are great
Just Landon __ it's not just the tin whistle, the part is for flutes during a vast majority of the song. at 25, it's recorder, tin whistle, and/or piccolo. uwu
