I’m so glad I came across your channel. Instant sub. Listening to your vids while working all day is great and makes the time feel less painful. I’ve also never heard anyone describe something as “bird sh*t” which made me laugh.
A good remedy to playing Superman 64 is playing Spiderman (I call it Spiderman 64). It doesn't have a name. It's just called Spiderman. It came on a red cartridge back in 2000. Better controls than Superman 64's, unlockable costumes, unlockable biographies, etc. I had alot of fun playing Spiderman 64 when I was a kid.
Spiderman 2000 is great. I played the N64 version a lot. But if you're going to play it nowadays I recommend the Dreamcast version the most. Dreamcast version has full motion video and the best graphically. Also there's a sequel on PS1 as well.
The worst game I ever played was Godzilla Monster Wars for Game Boy Color. It IS, what I considered the worst video game for the longest time; despite the music being rad, how the game played is COMPLETELY different. I don’t recommend it AT ALL! Oh, and P.S. there IS an Atari game that makes ET play like a masterpiece: I dare you to play Firefly. ET was only a partial contributor to the North American Video Game Crash of 1983. Everything else was about overhyped marketing, and assumptions about what made games good.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 really should have been good. Especially coming after Tony Hawk Ride and Shred, the series needed a return to form, and for the fact they decided to use the "Pro Skater" moniker again. We do sort of have that now with the THPS 1 + 2 remaster, but that's not an entirely new game, and who knows if we'll even get one at this point?
Games just have to be fun it depends on situations and subjective Like I had fun with many games which I'm pretty sure people would find it as trash which I cherished in childhood
Hey Jonathan, nice video! Just thought I'd point out that during the Simpson's Skateboarding segment, it said Simpson's Wrestling instead... maybe your subconscious was telling you that you actually hated that game more after all lol
I haven't played any very bad games, but I'd say the one I *hate* the most is Final Fantasy X-2. The amount of missable trash in that game made me want to kill myself so badly.
Oh man. A BANGER video! Worst game I ever played in my life has to be TWD: Survival Instinct. For me when the game came out it was on the same level as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was for you. I was HYPED for the game back then when I actually enjoyed the show, then the game came out and… yeah. Fun fact actually, both Pro Skater 5 and Survival Instinct were published by Activision 💀
Great list man. If I was picking bad games from rebellions wheelhouse though, Id put shellshock 2 over rogue warrior. I couldn't even finish that game it was so awful lol.
Some people say the Ring Terror's Realm is one of the worst but I think it's so bad that it's good. It also has great music, and I'm not being sarcastic. I genuinely love the music. One of the most unintentionally funny games ever made.
Bubsy 3D pops up and a million Playstation owners and players instantly drop to their knees in the obligatory "We're not worthy!" bow of reverence. There's bad. And then there's Bubsy 3D. lol
there's a decent fast & furious game that was released for the ps2 and published by bandai namco. it has no combat and it's quite challenging, plus you get to customize your car with characters from soul calibur and tekken iirc which is neat
It's a lot easier today to avoid outright terrible games today than it was 15 years ago for example. The first game that comes to my mind is Beowulf and I really enjoy the movie that I watched it multiple times.
Trail Out is the sucessor to Flatout Ultimate Carnage and must be played! (Wreckfest is good but very serious, like a sim and absolutely not like the Flat Out games where you do crazy stuff)
So many people have heard of Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing but how many have actually heard of Midnight Race Club: Supercharged! ? Also made by Stellar Stone and published by Game Mil. And yes, it is also very awful. As for my worst game it would either be Battling Butlers (a fighting game for DOS) or Club Drive (driving/racing game for the Atari Jaguar). *FLUSH!*
The worst I ever briefly played was Superman 64. The Nerd explained it so well how bad it is. Playing the game, you will fail a lot and go back a level before 😮 so boring, ugly, bad, and tough to control. Most of us wouldn't even get past the ring missions
I've never played Shaq Fu but it's always looked good visually to me. I like the graphics, the art and stage design. I feel like it would be fine to play with friends, which is the most important part of a fighting game in my opinion. I almost bought Aquaman for the GameCube when I was a kid, but thankfully I chose Dragon Ball Z Budokai instead. I think Aquaman could make for a great game.
Remember Postal 3 ?! Or the followup to Boiling Point: Road to hell - "Xenus 2: White Gold" ... jeeezzzzz broken games. At least Xenus 2 is now somewhat playable.
Doctor jekwell mister hyde for the nes. I owned this game for over 20 years and never got past the first level. Wasn't until AVGN explained how to, but by then, it was too late
Great video! 😂 The worst game I’ve ever played is Deadly Towers on the NES. The music sucks, the control sucks, it’s one of the ugliest games and that’s saying A lot for the NES haha. The ONLY enjoyment I got from the game was inviting friends over to show them the shittiest game on the NES!! Haha 😂
Worst game I played was vampire rain on the ps3. Bad controls, bad acting, bad premise, bad game design, bad gameplay, and later ps1 graphics on a ps3.
If we're actaully allowing the 'disappointment factor' into the equation, as you did with your #19 Tony Hawks one. Then it's SNES 'Starfox' for me every day of the week. To this day that game has saved me more money than anything before or since. Simply because from that day forth I have never trusted magazine reviews of games ever again. So I have refrained from buying many many games over the years. (Don't get me wrong, I've still actually bought several thousand games haha.) I drove a 40 mile round trip to the import games shop I used in those days to buy US and Japanese games here in the UK before their UK release. If they even ever got a release. Which obviously Starfox did. (Becoming Starwing in the UK.) and paid £65 for a US cart of the game. Started the game up, and sat there open mouthed looking at the screen wondering what wag had swapped my 1993 release SNES game for a 1980 arcade rom in the box. Not even a '1980's' arcade game. It literally looks like a 1980 arcade game. 13 years might not be a massive jump in quality these days. It definitely was back then. I could have cried. But instead I got back in my car, drove down to my local game swap shop in my own town, and swapped the game for a £10 game with no swap fee due to my game being worth more than the swapped game. I still feel guilty about the poor sap buying my used Starfox cartridge and potentially being as upset as I was.
I know Bubsy 3D has a reputation for being one of the worst 3D platformers, if not THE worst. But I believe it was an important game during an extremely exciting time when developers were trying to figure out how to make 3D games. It was probably responsible for teaching countless devs what -not- to do, hah.
I disagree on the Gollum game. Its kinda nice to see a game from the underlings perspective. And Gollum has two personalities to him. The story is cool. The movement is bad tho.
Bruh I feel attacked I haven’t thought about the Charles angels video game in like 20 years.. but that game slapped, it was hella fun 😅 easy c tier lol
WWE 2k20 is the worst game I've ever purchased... I've bought every wwe game since 2013 and couldn't believe just how bad that game was... it simply did not work! It should be illegal to sell a game that's that defective.
Just wanna say you are not missing out on any badness with Kong Skull Island-the game actually works, it’s repetitive and the fun is gone after 10 minutes and then you are waiting 5 hours of the length of the campaign of the 10 minute Kong section. Not good, definitely not as bad as some of the dumpster fires on this list
I didn't think Rogue Warrior was that bad not a good game maybe average certainly not one of the 20 worst games of all time. Play Heavy Fire Afghanistan and you'll think Rogue Warrior is game of the year by comparison. I also believe Fracture,X-Men Destiny, Terminator Salvation,Conflict Denied Ops , Aliens Colonial Marines and Alone Dark Inferno are at least worst than Rogue Warrior from that era and a bunch of others round about the same quality. There is something to be said about being able to beat a game in a time, which makes Rogue Warrior useful. Good for building gaming confidence and momentum especially people with back logs of games. Played a hard game get stuck instead of getting burnt out and stop playing video games plug in a game like Rogue Warrior and get a win.
Some of the worst games for me are Fallout 76, Saints Raw Reboot, AC Valhalla, Far Cry 6, maybe biomutant elden scrolls online, Fortnite. The worst game I ever played though is fast and the furious spy racers rise of shifters.
@@Eden_M0rgan I just said is not a good game for me, I can understand people loving Fortnite and more power to them. It's just not my thing, I mostly play single player games anyway.
@@Fluffychoupikkosi also enjoy single player games however its fun asf to play with freinds back then and even now. I dont ever play it solo but with freinds its a great game
I found Gollum to be nust fine,a It looked good on ps5 had a good story and atmosphere and just fine gameplay. It was a simple stealth platformer with some fun moments. Its not as close to as bad as people say and got a bad rap
"shitpost without the post" is a banger line
Babe wake up!!
Totally Tubular Jonathan just uploaded a new video!
Man, these are some horrible games. Someone should make a series about this
many of these games and the scoop on their development has been covered by matt mcmuscle's "what happened" series, highly recommend
I would rather have a buffalo take a diarrhea dump in my ear
Ever heard of the Angry Video Game Nerd? Lol
I’m so glad I came across your channel. Instant sub. Listening to your vids while working all day is great and makes the time feel less painful. I’ve also never heard anyone describe something as “bird sh*t” which made me laugh.
I love how every game on this list is a different kind of animal's poop
Shaq Fu is a poor retro fighting game. But it's far from the worst, even for the 16 bit era.
Saying Micky Rourke is unhinged in the game as if Micky Rourke irl is a sane, well adjusted person lol.
Worst game I've ever played when I was a kid was Rocketeer for the SNES.
Oh Boy. You stepped in some smelly sh!t

tbh I was hoping for more hot takes, these are universally hated. Still good video though. Worst game imo would be some scam crypto game

finally! a bad game list
haven't played any of these but my worst three are:
3-Adam's Venture: Origins
2- Thief
1- Terminator Salvation.
Tony 5 blew but wasn't worst thing ever and I played it to 1000 achievements. Not reccomended of course.
I'm surprised Sonic 06 isn't on here. Worst game I ever played. But thankfully, I never played any of the games on this list

Paying full price for a THPS game is like paying full price for a sports game. And who buys games before at least reading or watching a preview?

Video was excellent can’t believe you’ve played over 2000 games
We continued to play r2h bc it’s so bad it’s fun. Not good, but everyone that has played remembers everything and laughs about it.
you should make a video on games that revolutionized gaming like streetfighter 2

Yeah Simpson skateboarding was so goddamn stiff, I couldn’t stand it. And I loved skating videogames on the ps2 typically
I don’t have your patience man I’ve never got very far in a truly bad game
Worst game I played was vampire rain on the ps3. Bad controls, bad acting, bad premise, bad game design, bad gameplay, and later ps1 graphics on a ps3.
I played E.T. when it came out. I was 10 or 11.even as a kid i thought wow this is the worst game I'll play in my entire life.
At least we’re getting a avatar RPG that is going to be made by the same people who made space marine two

Ride To Hell: Retribution came out around the same time as The Last of Us...
E.T. 2 but it's just a giant pit in the woods with ps5-standard graphics
Ride To Hell Redemption vs The Shield: The Game
