Etchele 7 - according to the Koolatron FAQ page on their website, yes, you can. They say, "QUESTION: Is there any time limitation on running the cooler on the AC adapter while in the house, office or dormitory? ANSWER: These units are designed to run 24/7. Make sure there is good air circulation to the cooler vents and for the adapter. This will assure long life for both.". www.koolatron.com/pages/frequently-asked-questions. Additionally, they go on to say, " Are there any concerns with long-term full-time operation? Do not place the adapter on carpeting since this tends to block the airflow up through the bottom of the case. Instead, put it on a brick or tile or other smooth surfaces. Every few months the external fans may accumulate dust due to the point of blocking the airflow. Take off the end panel and vacuum and brush away any dust on these fins and fan. The internal fins may accumulate frost and ice occasionally during operation (frequently during humid weather). To defrost, simply reverse the current by unplugging the power cord from the small pigtail cord near the base of the cooler and re-plug using the red mark to the arrow putting the unit into heater mode. The ice should melt off in 2 to 3 minutes. Remove any ice that falls off and wipe up any melt water. MAKE SURE TO REPLUG INTO COOLER MODE OTHERWISE YOU WILL COOK THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF THE UNIT. I hope that helps! Best, DFJ
@@DirtFarmerJay Imagine I've been terribly looking for this transparency! But, woefully I haven't found it until you replied. Sir, You’ve been enormously informative and helpful at the exact right time! Thank you very much indeed you've just made my day! My sincere gratitude. 🙏🏼💪🏼👊🏼 #Keepupthegoodwork!
Extra note...it also heats up when you reverse the polarity. We kept a spiral ham warm, that we were transporting to a potluck, by plugging it into the socket in our truck while we drove. Worked like a charm. Best, DFJ
If you think that's cool (har har) try one of the 12V compressor refrigerators like an ICECO. They will freeze stuff to 0 deg F. great for fishing trips or shopping trips to the big city. The compressor coolers will get a lot colder, a lot faster than the $100 peltier coolers. only downside is they are more expensive $200+. My ICECO is 65QT (huge) and has AC power built it, as well as 12/24V.
