- Beavers Bend State Park, OK
In the fall of 2019, the Two Tired Teachers visited Beavers Bend State ark in Oklahoma. Beavers Bend is in a part of the Ouachita National Forest.
Situated in southeastern Oklahoma, Beavers Bend State Park is outside of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Four entrances are available to get into the park. We mention that because we chose the first one, and our reservations were in the third entrance. It was a bit tricky trying to find our camping loop in this massive state park.
In Beavers Bend, each camping loop warns you not to stop in a site without a reservation. The park has cabins of varying sizes. The park offers some huge cabins and some smaller ones.
The one negative is the dump stations. The one near the loop where we were had been cemented over. After a heavy rain, the dump station that was five to eight miles away from our campsite was full. We had to drive to our next destination with our tanks full.
The park is beautiful. The scenery was almost magical. You couldn't hope or anything prettier.
Outside the park are many touristry things.
I can't wait to head up there! A short drive from where we are, near Denton.
It's a pretty place. It really isn't far from Denton.
This park such an oasis! Haven’t been during summer, but love it this time of year for fly fishing! Glad y’all enjoyed it, but sorry to hear about the dump station woes!
If that's the worst of our problems, we are blessed beyond belief.
That was a pretty park and so large. My great grandma was from Oklahoma state. I've never been but it looks very pretty!. Thanks for showing it
hello ladies the old Winnebago guy again. I went up through that area 7 miles north into the oachita national forest that the ranger told you about and had a really tough time finding a camp spot that wasn't occupied by the deer hunters. beautiful country however. I like your videos. My wife and I also have a 5th wheel and might return to Beavers Bend in the spring.
Do you think it would be as crowded when it isn't deer season? Thanks for the info.
Thank you for sharing. We've been talking about going to Beaver's Bend. I didn't know there was dispersed camping that close. That is going to definitely be something to consider. Hope you girls are having a great new year!
We are having a wonderful new year. Steve said in his comment on this video that it was hard to find a spot during deer season. Just an FYI.
@@TwoTiredTeachers Thank you for the FYI
Beautiful park. In the summer it would be gorgeous (and probably packed). Thank you for sharing this review. I hope you ladies are holding up in these trying times.
We are isolating in our RV with Sharon's dog and my cat on a short trip. We are totally self-contained, so we feel we are being safe.
hello from the Ozarks! quachita mountains range are Gods blessings on Ark. and Ok. thanks for sharing some wonderful memories! Grace be with you!
We love the Ouachita Mountains. They are absolutely gorgeous.
Love Your Channel!! My mom is a teacher and she has been on several of my travel channel videos with me and I have been really encouraging her to watch your videos because your style is soooo relatable!!!
Thank you so much!
Yaaaaay! I've been waiting for this review! We've been to this area before, just not RV camping. It's so beautiful. Can't wait to go back with our RV! You gals give the BEST reviews! 😊
It's a wonderful park. I'm so eager for you to get out and about in your new RV.
Excited you all finally made it there and here your take, phenomenal review! Great job! This is our family’s happy place, we going many times during the year from DFW. Working on my own review for my channel.👍
Loved this park. Just don't break a tent pole. We were there before we got the RV and were tent camping. I've been thinking about going back. Thanks for the review.
It is a very pretty park.
Very nice. Does it have 50amp service?
Some loops are 50 amp. When you make reservations, just double check to be sure you have a 50 amp site.
Do you have a link for this area of camping?
I was just up there in December but rented one of those “fancy cabins” on the other side of the highway.
No, we don't have a link, but you might go to Oklahoma State Parks. On the homepage for Beavers Bend, it will let you look for cabins, lodge rooms, RV sites, and tent sites. Once you decide what you want, if you click on that link, it will show you a photo and give you the price.
