Wanted a bit of a refresher after not using the G1000 for quite some time. Could not ask for a better guide. Thank you for the amazing tutorial series!
Very informative video, thank you. This video does not seem to have been made on an MSFS aircraft because the mouse pointer on the knobs is a half circle symbol. On my MSFS DA60 the knobs are colored and hard to turn Is there not a button mapping for for these functions, as I know it e.g. in X-Plane (Datarefs)? Apparently the video is made with Prepar3D? Thanks for an answer.
You are wrong, you can change knobs in MSFS I made a video how to change knobs, I don't have Xplane or P3d, I have only MSFS and only fly MSFS. Here is the link to the video how to change knobs in MSFS: ruclips.net/video/ZfPUwxcVOY4/видео.html
We definitely need a good video on this device. It can be a pilot killer if you press the wrong button in autopilot. This happened to me three times on the simulator. The first time it sent me into a spin from 4000feet until I disconnect it and gained control at 200 agl. Two other times and today. That barometer setting must be accurate otherwise disaster is coming. I think Garmin realized this fact. On the new ones, say Cirrus vision, there are built in safety features that stop this from happening.
Thankyou Flyover, your tutorial is both enjoyable and informative. i have made some progress with it but will study your video to get further into it . I appreciate you taking the time in making the guide and clearly explaining each item.
Great, helpful video. I was wondering if you knew why in some screen shots I have seen, the buttons below the HDG button on the right hand panel also show on the left hand panel also below the HDG button. The other videos are all G1000NXi on FS2020. I fly the Diamond DA62 and my buttons look like yours. However, other training videos for this plane have the extra buttons. Thanks.
@@FlyOverGames Thanks for that. I don’t know why I got it in my head that the DA62 should have the buttons. Must be my age! I have watched your videos on the NXi and found them really useful. You have balanced the right amount of detail, explained very clearly the functions and at the same time gone through them at a speed which stops it getting boring. Many thanks for making the videos.
I was wondering if you could provide your input on setting up and flying a visual approach to a specific runway using the GTN750? How to plan the descend and etc. Thank you!
I have watched three of you videos. Enjoyed all three. I'm still experiencing a couple of issues concerning Little nav map and the NXI. When I create a flight plan and load it into the simulator and I try to go into AP it will not engage. Do I have to load the flight plan directly into the NXI rather than load the flight plan from the PC. Your help will be welcomed. By the way I live in Phoenix AZ USA. Great how we can communicate from AZ to Croatia.
Thanks for nice explanation, just one question, if I press "Systems" not the volts/Ampere load status of batteries are shown. I installed an update from Garmin1000NXi from MS Marketingplace but still the same. Could you tell me, how I could fix it? Thank you!
@@FlyOverGames yes, in the case of the cessna 172, there is a red button at the bottom of the center console “display backup”, when pressed, the PFD appears on both screens
@@GBTC2011 Maybe the mod is bad, i really cannot know, I never tried this mod. If everything is working on other airplanes and not working on this one only, then the addon is bad, and my recommendation is to remove it from MSFS.
I don't use weather radar in small airplanes, but what I know, weather radar in addon airplanes still not working because lack of documentation from Asobo to the developers, I guess after helicopter and soaring update, they will publish weather documentation and than we will get fully functional weather radar in MSFS addons.
Well, when this video was created, it was an old version of the NXi, where half of the buttons had no function. This is not a tutorial for the new updated NXi, this is an old tutorial.
With accent I can't help but think we are leanring from Gru! I love it!!! LOL!!!!
Same here, love the tutorials from FlyOver.

Well done. A comprehensive tutorial for the G1000 like this for MSFS is welcome. Thanks and keep it up.
A niice slow leisurely pace. Many thanks!
Thank you for this. It helped me a lot. You made me realize why Auto Pilot does not work for me. Thanks!

The place of the buttons is not the same on every airplane that uses G1000NXi.

Excellent presentation…appreciate your time and effort to make the presentations useful. Thanks you very much
Excellent instructional video for G1000 NXI.
Thanks Flyover! Very useful tutorial. I've subscribed and liked! I'm onto Part II!😉
Thank you, soon will be updated version of this.

i love your tutorials so easy to follow step by step
Thank you very much, tonight will be published first of a few PMDG tutorials for a 737-700.
great simple tutorial, so easy to follow. keep up the good work

Hey, thank you for the comment. Both ways are good, there is no difference really.
Great videos. My third time watching this video already. Repetition is key
Thank you
Best explanation yet, thank you
Congratulations commander! Sensational!

You don't have to install anything anymore, now G1000NXi is the default GPS in the MSFS, and in the default airplanes.
supidupi, thank you! Never learn english but understud you very well.
Thank you for this démonstration
Great vid, very useful, thank you!
Thank you
very informative video, thx! One more subscriber
Thank you
Very informative, thank you
Thank you the video. Which plane, where do I find to download?
This is the default plane in MSFS no need to download. It is already there. DA62.
I have 2 pfd instead 1 pfd and mfd. do you know how to go back to pfd/mfd display?
Is that even possible ??
@@FlyOverGames yes, in the case of the cessna 172, there is a red button at the bottom of the center console “display backup”, when pressed, the PFD appears on both screens
@@osvaldolg3239 Ah yess, that is for emergencies in case the display dies, then you switch to another one. The same button should undo it.
Awesome! Thank You
Could you do a tutorial for entering flight plan in the A320? it's more complex than the g1000 and im sure you'll do a great job teaching it.
Sure, good idea, but first will be PMDG 737 tutorial, because it is already halfway done..... then I can make this one too.
@@FlyOverGames awesome! watched the 2 a320 tutorials you posted earlier and they're great like always!
Hi, somehow my nav2 and com2 frequencies on both Pfd and Mfd were red and crossed out, did I turn something off on setting?
Check if you turn ON the avionics Master Switch. Usually, if that one is OFF it is crossed.
@@FlyOverGames Master, you are the best👍
I'm flying the Tecma, 2012 and the Bearing buttons of the Garmin G1000NXI are not doing anything.
The bearing button works only if you are in ILS or LOC mode, not working in GPS mode.
but the CDI button doesn't work either, nothing happens when I press it.@@FlyOverGames

Haha, didn't even notice that.
Thank you so much
does it work with the 747 & Airbus 320neo?
Does, WHAT work ??
why does the DA50 have a level button and the DA62 doesn't
I have no idea, I never had any contact with DA50
Thanks
The radar meteo dont seem working for me...
Anyone can help?
