Is removing the lower splash panels really necessary - as the coolant will spill regardless from the water pump location? Good Job - Nice Video - Thank you

I have the 03 Cadillac CTS as well, But my engine is different than the one in this video. Do you know where i can find the water pump replacement video for my engine?
@rockslidegfx: I recently learned that the first year 2003 Cadillac CTS is basically a 2002 Cadillac Catera under the hood as far as its various engines & transmissions; CTS stands for Catera Touring Sedan, so 2004 was the CTS' 1st year of the 2.8L & 3.6 V6 engines (& CTS-V's Corvette V8) & transmissions up until 2007. I compared a 1998-2002 Catera engine to a 2003 CTS & they appear identical, from their "double" intake manifold to the locations of their ECMs on the top of the engine instead of the front. The 2003 tranny will NOT fit with a 2004-2007, I met a guy who learned the hard way after buying a 2004-2007 tranny for his 2003...
@@loboloco8914 The STS and CTS are very, very similar. They share many powertrain components. For instance, the steps demonstrated in this video are identical for the v6 STS.

I was thinking the same thing, you can just rinse it off before you install everything back onto the car. Great video nonetheless.
The water pump and belts are easy to access on this car. But do these engines suffer from headgasket issues like some of the old Northstars?

Do you not have any videos for 06 STS? All I see is for CTS vehicles.

Where is the auxiliary pump on a 09 Cadillac cts?
I successfully replaced the waterpump but now the car won't catch or start. Can someone help with this issue
