Dude when the whole cabin laughs at him, and he breaks and joins in, then he mimics the desk lamp, and there's a beat, and then the whole place cracks up again until Ash just devolves into anguished screaming; it gets me every time. The whole movie is so tight. People, rightfully, talk about Bruce's performance, the fun special effects, Raimi's direction and camera work, but the timing of the editing, the use of sound (or the absence of sound) in this movie--it's all so masterful. It's all good. It's really one of the best horror comedies of all time. It might just be one of the best movies, ever.
I watched the 3 movies in a roll with my son (he is 10) and he loved it, we had some good laughs. 80s horror were peak because it was also funny and absurd, the small budgets made the team more creative .

Love the whole franchise but Evil Dead 2 is certainly the first look at the real Ash Williams
I think the only reason I like the first one more is because I had no idea what to expect going into it versus seeing the second one

It’s so good, glad to hear the kid is getting into it!
My favorite scene is when Ash's girlfriend comes back from the dead to dance and to torture him. 😀👍🧟♂️
