i recently thrifted one of those crochet mesh hats!! all my friends were roasting me for me it😭 i was like you guys don’t get it
That’s how u know it’s cool🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
the hilarious thing is that, where I live, skinny jeans never went away 😂😂
I was one of the few people to actually adopt the baggy pants, and now people are FINALLY coming around on them.
Exactly!!! Here too
same here, from western sydney australia - skinny jeans are still constantly around, just what this demographic in this area prefers
@@kerri-annereyes8696 Can confirm as a fellow Sydney sider! Skinny jeans have not and will not go anywhere. The online fashion world is not at all reflective of what's happening out in the real world
Every millennial and boomer at my corporate office is wearing skinny jeans and black skinny pants! If I tried to wear skinnies for fashion, it would just look like I'm blending in 😭
ive said this on a previous video too! skinny jeans never went away for the general public. i live in southern california and i still see everyone wear them
Laini, I feel like your channel is becoming the new best dressed. You have such stunning style, but in a way that’s achievable but still inspiring for the fashion girlies. Xoxo
Random food for thought… when I started watching you more than a year ago I noticed that my hairline was quite similar to yours. I distinctly remember thinking “wow she looks so beautiful embracing this feature about herself, maybe I can look that good too”. Since then I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone, wearing my hair up in a high pony or tight French braids. You changed my perspective for the better so thank you Laini🥰
Also side note, apparently the high rounded foreheads with a widows peak were a trend in renaissance times or something like that? So we’re like Victorian chic? I’m gonna go with that!
I really love how you have been putting an emphasis on embracing our uniqueness! it makes me feel really happy :D Getting into/being into fashion has helped me embrace my features so it reminded me of how you said high fashion models have a distinct look. I have my own distinct look and I emphasize that with my style and makeup 🥰I loved this video so much!!!
7:59 As a fellow mom, and also a pretty messy eater myself 😬, my little trick to be able to wear my “good” clothes is to put on a big long robe over my outfit when I am around the house, especially working in the kitchen. I have a lightweight cotton flannel robe that works for all seasons. There are still some things that I don’t wear at home, but my robe trick helps me to get so much more wear from my nice clothes
I love how you embrace your unique features so much! It’s so refreshing to hear you talk about these things when everyone tries to hide their uniqueness and blend in 💌
I love your widows peak. That was one of my favourite features of Fran Fine
YES QUEEN MAKEUPPPP I am always so obsessed with ur makeup
lol i have a widows peak & i remember in elementary school kids saying i had bald spots 🤣🤣
i was never insecure about it though because my mom has one too & i loved having that in common 💘
I said it before, but I have a much more pronounced widows peak and never gave it a second thought. Hairdressers pointed it out; I never noticed. I also have a higher forehead than you do, and yes, I wear bangs, but swept to the side. Every woman has features she doesn’t like. Thing is, you’re beautiful.
Laini, I would love to see a video on black/white tie attire this year! I’m attending a few formal balls and would love some styling inspo- would definitely be an entertaining video too :)
fellow large forehead girlie!!! i was always insecure about mine too! but now i think its a sign of beauty & intelligence :) love that you can relate
I love your hair slicked back like this! So cute!
I recently learned to knit and it's been the best cozy winter vibe to knit while watching your videos!
I love what you said at 12:22❤❤ it appealed to me so much and instantly made me feel a little better about myself❤️❤️
im not the one who asked but im so happy you're doing well!!! love u
I love the consistency Laini!❤
loved this vid❤ also I’m so in love with milk blush shade
Happy New Year Laini!!!
I have such a love/hate relationship with astrology and can’t believe I’m saying this but finding out that you’re a Libra too kinda makes me happy lol please don’t judge me 🫶🏼
Sad to say goodbye to holidays, but was finally able to sent kiddos back to daycare and school, and I could sit down and caught up on ur videos ! 😂
YESSS WE LOVE YOU QUEEN! I couldn’t wait for this video❤
AAAAAAAAA. I’m honoured to have a heart from you, I know you give it to every comment but it feels so special. I can’t express how much I love you and your content, stay positive and happy!
i completely agree w the food for thought monologue… my friends and i talk about plastic surgery and “the instagram face” often and it makes me sad to think about too… and i know personally i would regret any work done later more than i would dislike wrinkles or my lip size, etc.
Anxiety is literally irrational, so of course it comes for no reason. Even when you feel broken that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re really broken. You are strong. The anxiety is understandable, even if it isn’t logical. And you’re a mom with your first child! I don’t have kids yet (and hopefully won’t for a while oof) but I think you are a very loving mom, and Lucy is lucky to have sweet parents.
Also, thank you for the fashion talk, it’s always so fun!
happy new year laini ❤ love a bold lip
I usually never comment, but you resemble Taylor Russell so much to your mannerisms, and even your voice.
Nice job, Laini!❤
your forehead is perfect cuz you can rock both bangs or slide back, or specially mini fringe 💕
I always love your makeup in your videos so this video is amazing to use as some help for my own makeup 🫶🫶
Thank You, Love your videos and your presentations and Ideas!! 👊😘👍
Your makeup look is soo lovely and fresh!! I wish you'd have shown how you do the eyeliner though!! Your eyeliner always looks on-point!! Please do a close-up eyeliner tutorial!!
I love the Nars concealer and for some reason the small size has lasted me way longer than the full size haha
you're gonna love those ballet crochet bun things
Bahahahaha those trigger me from dance days
Hi lainiiii!!
The Clarins lip oils were actually the OGs! Been around forever
I don’t think skinny jeans will ever go away, they’ve been staples in fashion for decades. Maybe we’ll see a 70s punk revival. Skinny but straight
I’ve made a very loose meshy cap for a retro spiderweb Halloween look….. I want to make one like the ones you showed. I’ll hit you up if I make it work !
I still can’t believe that I forgot to wish my birthday twin a happy birthday last year, I’m devastated!! 😭 Also with all of the RUclips content that I wanted to consume last month (vlogmas) I just wanted to say that I watched all of your videos but I never had the time to comment! 😭 It’s a small thing but I miss commenting and I’m bringing it back
i bet someone who follows you also has a crochet shop!! id make that stuff but i just don't sell it lmao
I'm an october 7 baby too! 😊
my brows have always been super light and they don't grow in the "perfect" shape (nobody's do). dear god the dipbrow era was BAD for me. still trying to figure them out lol
💘 mom tattoo😍
Can you post a video on how to style leopard print in 2024? Whenever I browse I feel like the pieces I find either look cheap or reminiscent of like 2000s and 2010s Jersey Shore/Kardashians.
Even the 2019 leopard satin skirt outfit feels dated. 🥲 I kind of like the idea of leopard print pants or something more subtle like a bag or kitten heels. I want to get a piece that I’ll want to wear often, whether leopard print is trending or not.
I have to know how you'd style those 3/4 sleeve wool jackets?
Laini, the funny thing is that I wouldn’t say that you have a large forehead. Every time you mentioned your “large forehead” I was trying to look at your forehead and see what you meant but I just don’t see it 😄
I love the widow’s peak/ big forehead its very reminiscent of Christina Ricci
will you be posting the discord link again?? i wanna be an ootd girlie w yall! 💕🎀
how do I find your square space website?
I relate so hard to the hairline/forehead insecurity when younger. Now I don’t give af
Where are your earrings are from?
My cat's name is Miso soup and I've thought of getting a miso soup tattoo instead of his outline. Maybe you could do ernie from bert and ernie or something related to his name?
💕💝
So you dont have to ever get bangs again lol but in my humble opinion they look very pretty on you ❤
The crochet hat looks very much like a Kufi, it's a hat worn by Muslim men it tradtionally is a sign of peace, mourning, or for protection of the mind.
I don’t go by trends I would literally never rush to buy anything I will wait ten years to buy something
A lot of people get veneers because they weren’t born with teeth or a smile like yours. It’s easier to embrace features on yourself when you’re already attractive by common *accepted* beauty standards. Models do have odd features which makes their faces stand out however they also share the same *rare* height, weight and measurements which keeps them at the 5% of body types. Beauty should be a widely accepted and subjective concept but unfortunately it isn’t and for a lot - it’s a privilege
This is obviously not what shes talking about, she is saying embracing unique features looks better than hiding them, so like for example a slick back bun might look nicer than parting your hair in an odd way on PURPOSE to hide something someone otherwise wouldnt give a second thought to. Like theres nuance in her words, she means you look more awkward hiding yourself than embracing something unique
Same, I have a tooth gap and I saw a lot of black celebrity girls that I had grown up watching close them, it really hurt my feelings and I had to unfollow all of them. Ugh I hate where western culture is going
I think you can tone down the filter a bit
