It's a privilege to witness this show I am also disabled and the reason for is the gallbladder and the performed surgery that saved my life.with this done I am still on medication and going about my calendar as if nothing changes accepting the handicap and God bless my everyday life as I receive it.
As a patient with this as a result of a gallbladder removal, who still theoretically passes stones/grains, or severe spasming in the DAMAGED common bile duct, and also had nutcracker oesophagus for years after last ercp over mpre than a decade ago...I still get that SEVERE pain from time to time, most days in fact to varying degrees. I've now developed severe issues with acid reflux, uncontrollable to top it off. Over 15yrs after 3-4(?) failed ercp cbd balloon dilations, all failed and then developed scar tissue in the cbd (possobly as a result of the gb removal), each procedure I woke up 11/10 severe pain worse than childbirth. Uncontrollable. For months. And then became permanent. Had approx. 5 times recurrent idiopathic(?) pancreatitis, have sphincter of oddi dysfunction, I was also dx of biliary stenosis type 1, but ALL of this has been permanent. I'm banned from ercp because my body cannot tolerate it and more damage happens each time. Immediately after the gall bladder removal, severe ibs started permanently, occasional sudden electrolyte drops (which cause sudden tachycardia) requiring ambulances each episode and typically self resolves with top up electrolyte infusions, progressed to bowel incontinence in about 2020. All of this severe pain through ribs, back, shoulders, shoulder tips, chest, both sides, even middle and and radiates right down to my finger tips, has been a permanent. Please help me. I need a new gastroenterologist. Are you in Victoria at all? Or able to do video calls? I need someone who understands all my complicated I issues, as all gastro teams I've seen have exhausted all options and I need a review as my health including heart rhythm and even constant issues with COSTROCHRONDITIS (I had no idea this was related!!!) And for me, Are ALL affected. This affects and literally controls my ability to function and live normally every day. Problem is, none of it looks particularly remarkable to any gastro I've seen on all my scans and even after huge pain attacks, my bloods have been for the 1st time in the past few yrs come back with nothing significantly, of which makes no sense to any of us. Usually my lfts are all over the place. My last Dr was in Melbourne, he directed me for pain relief for the rest of my life as the only way to manage this and this HAS helped tremendously and given me quality of life to a point. It has been life changing for the better. But I'd like a review to make sure nothing's changed, or gotten worse. I'm 42 and bowel incontinence has been the most embarrassing of all the things I've dealt with, aside from being accused of "faking" my pain when I literally can lose consciousness it gets that intense ! I'm not sure I've explained this well, -but I am surprised to see a video explaining so much of what my daily life is all these years still later! (And slightly releived to say the least!)
I'm 27 and I accidentally found out that there are multiple stones in my gallbladder during a medical test done for my pilot training, though it was asymptomatic and doctors told me surgery is not required till I get pain or any other complications, I had to undergo surgery and remove it because of regulations laid down by governing body for aviation. It's been 4 weeks now after surgery and I took LFT test and found that my bilirubin direct is 0.5, SGOT is 62 and SGPT is 98. I'm under medication to resolve the issue, now my medical test is on hold and my flying training too. Hoping for the best!
I'm grateful to have had your video to help inform me. Thank you so much. I feel more confident to attend an appointment with someone from upper gi team now. I've had continued unresolved pain and discomfort after eating even after the gall bladder was removed. Its nearly four months after surgery and its getting worse if anything. Thank goodness l finally found a g.p in my practice who would refer me back to the Specialists. I feel overdue to begin the next round of tests to discover the cause.
Yeah I know the feeling smh . I was just telling my sister, i think I’ll just drink chicken both everyday and call it a day.😂 gotta laugh to keep yourself from crying. Definitely very stressful and disappointing. I hope you find answers and get some relief GOOD LUCK 🤞🏾
I’ve been suffering with pain from getting my gallbladder removed for 2 years now. A week after my surgery I dropped to the floor sweating and an unbearable pain in my sternum. Pain lasted 20 minutes and immediately I was back to normal. I continued having these attacks almost every week at the same time, for the same time and again, back to normal within 20 minutes. The pain during these 20 minutes is excruciating but no doctors can give me any answers. I’ve been to GI specialists and they wanted to put me on a “antidepressant that also COULD maybe help”, but that wasn’t an answer I was looking for. It occurs pretty much monthly now instead of weekly, but I still feel helpless and have no idea where to go from here
I am sorry to hear that Sammy. My video explains the different causes and investigations, please check with your healthcare provider or get a second opinion. Good luck.
I had my gallbladder removed Oct 3rd 2022, went home the same day. Was a little sore but nothing major. The next day Oct 4th, I was good up and out walking around shopping at Walmart ( not doing any lifting) each day the soreness was less and less. But all of a sudden of October 9th 2022. 6 days after surgery. I got excruciating pain in my upper right abdomen. Bloody dark brown/ tarry stool and extreme nausea Went to ER, they did CT with contrast, but couldn’t find anything. The pain still happens not as bad and the nausea is still extreme. I have my 1st follow up appointment tomorrow with the surgeon. I’m hoping he can figure out what’s going on.
Sir I had gall stones in my gall bladder and 1 month back I got laparoscopy surgery gall bladder removed and now I had same stomach pain what problem sir plzz tell me 🙏
Please tell me what to do. I had to have mine removed in Tucson, AZ at a ER last month. When I saw the surgeon for the 2 week follow up appointment he told me my stomach shouldn’t look like I’m 9 months pregnant and not have new pain In middle of my chest under my rib cage is bad. I went back to the Emergency Department- but at the VA hospital. They did labs and CT scan. They don’t know what to do? Please give me advice. I feel absolutely horrible!
At age 55, I had my gallbladder removed about a month ago..Since then, I’ve had intermittent abdominal aches that are eerily similar to the spasms that eventually led to the removal of the organ..It normally happens in the morning but, I sometimes sense the issue a few hours in advance..It normally goes away after I’m up and about for a few minutes but, it seems a bit more persistent at times..Thank you for your video and I’ll be sure to ask for further examination I at my next follow up..
It isn’t nearly as bad as it was back then…I do get cramps on the right side of my sternum, where it was removed…The cramps can be troublesome, especially exercising..The larger issue is diarrhea…Imodium and diet are very important because living with gas and runny stool isn’t pleasant for anyone…I still get the pain you are having but, not nearly as severe or often….Hope that helps..
Hard to say…??…I still have some issues with cramps after bending down…If I eat something late, it often disagrees with that spot…Granola and other dietary fiber corrects my stool and I can usually mitigate fatty meats with granola or something else…It did take a few months to feel recovered but four is a lot…I’d go back to your specialist and hound him/her about it….Id see a doctor…
It’s been nine years and I’m still in pain. I’m not imagining it as some suggest. My gallbladder was removed because of biliary dyskinesia, not gallstones.
Age of 14, I had gallstones in my gallbladder and had it removed last month three weeks after surgery had the same stomach pain and maybe even worse went to the er and they said it was reflux once again, made an appointment with a g.i specialist and hopefully can get some answers.
Had gb out 5 weeks ago plus two large stones one stuck in bile duct one in liver duct ..they struggled with one in bile duct but did get it out ... Before surgery I suffered 99% left pain ..only once in a while right ... Now left pain is back ..I had open surgery and ended up with three operations ..should I still have left pain ..I can cope with right pain where gb has been removed but why left ? ... I've had CT scan and MRI ...
two months post gallbladder surgery, pain occurs after every meal or almost all day in lower abdomen and left side of stomach... already on very low fat diet..what cud be the cause
My gallbladder had been removed six years ago. There were normal and good all things. But from few days, pain on right side of chest intermittently even all the tests are normal. Feeling hopeless
