You can thank Carl Peterson for that debacle. AWESOME defense, GREAT running game, HORRIFIC QB play. CP mortgaged the future by trying to get a "quick fix" with the likes of Bono, Grbac, Montana and Green. What an incompetent GM. Of that group of course Montana was a great QB...about 5 years earlier. We traded away the future to get two seasons from him, a couple of seasons from Green. I heard so much talk about how CP was a great GM - outside of maybe his first five seasons, I NEVER thought he was even an average GM. The funny thing was I was in Miami for SB LIV. After the game my son and I were in line waiting to buy some T-shirts and other swag, and who comes plowing through the people in line like he owned the place? None other than that dipstick CP. I wish I'd seen him earlier because I'd have asked him, "hey Carl, how's that 5-year SB plan coming?" He claimed he'd have the Chiefs in the SB with his 5-year plan. What a joke. He was pitiful and caused me more indigestion than any other Chiefs GM since the 60's.
