Announcers wanted the Chiefs to win sooo bad, they were talking about Mahomes like he was the second coming of Jesus Christ. 😂😂😂
Fr, he couldn’t escape one of the sacks and they were like “and Mahomes is just gonna take the sack” as if he chose to get sacked rather then running/passing for a gain or throwing it away. They also didn’t say nothing about that no look INT he threw but if he would’ve completed that, it would’ve been on sports center for the next few weeks

Several things that Hebert brings to the Chargers . He is very young and has alot of energy. His leadership and desire to win is something that has not been seen in a Chargers QB in years. Phillip Rivers had this same energy and he did well for a bit. If the Chargers continue to keep Herbert free from injury there is no telling what he could bring this season !

Nah, great receivers who know how to get open and want to catch the ball. Don't get me wrong, he has great vision but his pocket maneuverability was terrible (veteran skill) and half his throws were higher than Snoop Dog. Not a fan of either team just football but the Chargers won because Mahomes didn't play his best game. The chargers receivers dominated that game.

I am an oregon duck fan and Chargers fan. I was sad to see Antonio Gates and phillip rivers go. But seeing all the receivers by Keenan Allen and Mike Williams stay with the chargers and then Justin Herbert completely transform the chargers Really makes me happy
Justin Herbert is so overlooked. He's only in his second year and is easily a top ten quarterback in the NFL. That said... The Chiefs defense is terrible. They've given giant contracts to some of those dudes and they just don't play well together. Their offense hasn't lit anybody up yet this year, so the defense needs to make some stops, and they're just not doing it. They're not winning any Super Bowls with that defense playing the way it is.

He's def not overlooked. If anything I feel he's still heavily unoptimized. Coaching staff still playing him to 'protect' him and not design stuff that he can exploit matchups in key situations. He often has to bail his offense out going 3rd and long and against big pressure fronts. If the offense was truly tailored for him he wouldn't be in those situations too often and he'd be in the convo of getting 3/4 TDs every week.
But Mahomes is the greatest thing ever right? I thought Mahomes was so great he could overcome a bad team. That's what elite quarterbacks doo. Oh wait you NEED a team around you to win. See you dummies it wasn't all Mahomes this whole time.

Rewatching this prior to the 2nd matchup. It’s clear Herbert will dissect the Chiefs without a pass rush affecting him . If Chris Jones doesn’t play the Chiefs will struggle defensively compared to recent games. On the other hand, the Chiefs should fare better in the self-inflicted turnover department, which is the sole reason they lost the first matchup.

All i can say is thank you dolphins for passing on Herbert! We would have taken Tua for sure and imagine how far that would have set us back. The guy can’t play to save his life, let alone stay healthy.

Herbert was in a pretty bad position too, the worst o-line in football, no running game and horrible coaching on both sides of the the ball. His number 1 receiver is Allen, yet he’s not a burner or flashy. Mike Williams and Hunter Henry are always inconsistent and injured. Bottom line, we can make excuses for both, but we saw who can really played and who’s gonna be a franchise Qb and who’s gonna most likely going to be a career backup.
