I had a brain aneurysm on January;14th. Praying God can use it for his glory! I never ever thought that could happen to me. But it did, and I submitted to the suffering and being in the hospital. How perfect was this word for me today. Thank you Alwyn, This really speaks to me. I am praying for a husband, and i met someone that is so perfect to what i like in a man, but , i hear the Lord saying, I have better for you. I don't know how it could be better, but , i choose to trust Him, and not getting in any romantic things with the one i really like, but waiting on the Lord to bring me what He knows is better for me.. Its soooo hard to do this but i will trust the Lord even that is almost impossible to do that , and yes, it is impossible in my own strength, so i keep praying, help me Lord. And He is helping me. Hello, I too am a single mother. This situation is more prevalent than you think! Please do not give up. I also only have Jesus to turn too now, and I crawl in my bed with my Bible ( with a photo of Jesus on it) .... I also read a lot of Psalms. I too, have pressure paying my high rent, and lost my house due to my ex's stealing money out of the house. ( foreclosure) Find a church ( if you have to keep looking) that honor and support you and all your immediate needs.

I've heard that in order to receive a blessing that we are waiting on, we are required to change in some way. I think this is what was needed for me to change, is my beliefs about God, what kind of God he is and his character. God wants me to understand this because he has greater blessings for me, but i need to have the faith to receive them, and for me to have the necessary faith, I need to better understand God's true character.

This is exactly what is happening now for my finances. My husband needed a new truck as his was on its last leg and not safe. We decided to refinance and take out an equity loan. We got a good rate and they ended up being able to get us a bunch more money without raising our monthly mortgage payment. We definitely needed that right now to pay off our credit card and save a little. Prayers answered!... and with something better than we thought!

WOW Alwyn, I came on RUclips to watch a video for school and I stumbled onto your video. Yes, I am convicted in what I am praying for in regard to a job. I keep "striving" to get a job in healthcare and it's not working out. I have been so worried about financial instability. Even my pastor this morning preached on Matthew 6:25-34 and was hit again, "DO NOT worry". God has me in his hands, in the palm of his hand.
This is an encouragement for me at this moment in my life. God knows what He's doing. I am trusting God with my life right now. Amen

Thank you for this word from the Lord I am waiting on a home, that I know is to be given to me as a part of restoration , I I can't make up my mind about it, so basicly this is what I had been doing was allowing the Lord to design it but i just couldn't come up with the words because i kept thinking of different things that i wanted in it , one thing a comfortable place to study the word, and not my bed area, but a place comfortable enough that if i do fall a sleep in there i can go on and sleep in there and not have to get up and go into the bedroom and go to sleep , that Is one main concern for me, but the rest is so many things i haven't been able to get fixed on one or two so thank you so much , thank you Lord, i will be so very , very thankful what what you choose for me, praise you Lord For your wonderful blessings and words that we have to guide us continuously, All praise and glory and honor to you Lord Jesus my King.

As we were praying for our next contracts and job opportunities for my husband’s construction work, he injures himself braking 4 ribs, and the same week, few days later, our 17 year old son had a hiking accident where he lost part of his finger.

Godliness with contentment is great gain. I love this verse. Being content is such a treasure to me and can be found whether rich or poor. King David asked God not to give him too much to where he forgets God, but also to not give him too little to where he has to steal and bring shame on God's name. Contentment is so key!
