- CARRION is a reverse horror game in which you assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origins, stalking and consuming those that imprisoned you.

There's this one episode of Love Death and Robots that's super similar to this style of animation, and its horror. I think its called "The sucker of souls"? It might be right up your alley.

That's really scary... that you are fully aware, knowing that this thing is inside you and you have no control over your body as it does what it wants. And when it has no of you, you are disposed.

Well I did dreamed about the blob that was inside a person's body and waited until it comes out to catch its prey. That was the worst nightmare ever. But I'm not sure if it was the blob or it could be like this monster that we're seeing in the trailer.
That pretty much describes your microbioma. It is inside and outside of you and if you are too weak (due to old age or other immunocompromising circumstances) you might get some opportunistic disease from it.
Well, that or it just releases you, it just either teleports by putting more DNA in you so they have control or do that Ennard thing from FNAF Sister Location... or something

I think that is the plot of some movie "wisps" or something like that it was some bats, they are blind but have good hearing, like "the quiet place"

Imagine having movie like this where a research organization found the specimen years after the game ending, and the specimen was breached out because spies from another research organization made contact with it and it got out.
And the ending is where they 3 survivors/scientists finally destroyed the specimen. On the final curtain, one of them got into a group hug and the specimen was actually living inside one of them, and took control over their body and now can imitate human emotion and memory. Making the sequel truly TERRIFYING.
Maybe this is useless, because you already know it, but you should check out the movie "The Thing" if you haven´t already.
The closest thing we've got to that is John Carpenter's "The Thing"

A multiplayer game with the premise of carrion, with one player playing the monster and a bunch of others playing as the humans trying to survive, would be neat.

Mabye? I think one of the early powers is some sort of vine mind control. But it would be really cool to actually hide inside and pop out instead of the thing seen in the past trailers were you just transfer yourself to the puppets location when your done with it. edit: at the point of writing this I don't have the game because it's the night before steam release which I pre ordered for. As I know skills can be updated from what I have seen. Like mabye you can go inside pepes but it won't let you insta kill them with bio transfer. Also if anyone spoils it I will find a canister of strange flesh samples and throw it in your house

I tried the game, I really recommend to everyone who hasn’t, it was so good, that I played it multiple times, and it’s also just awesome being the monster. Something I live about it is that it’s one of those games where it’s satisfying to get every single upgrade
I finshed the game two times, can't really recommend it.

I don't usually like horror, but the idea that I'M the monster makes it a lot easier for me to watch this and let's plays of the game, more reverse horror please!

That would be cool, but the whole selling point of Carrion is that it is the opposite of most horror where instead of being a human you play as the monster. I feel that a DLC where you are human, effectively making it a more normal horror game, wont be as unique

I really need a sequel. I picked it up on sale and was blown away by how good it is. It was just a little shy of story, polish, and maybe just a bit more content away from being legendary.

Please I need more games like this. I love horror and games where you are the horror can very clearly work so damn well. Give us something crazy, hell I’d play a game in this animation style and the gameplay of the actual game with multiplayer on it. Easily

This game was super fun! (beat it took me 2 whole days) and I wish that I could actually see animated versions of CARRION in the game other than the original gameplay most of the time. Could probably be something like a workshop item. A special filter for funny cartoony gameplay?

This game needs a sequel he gains so much biomass from absorbing the entire city and he gets nuked back to square one you regain his mass and take over an entire continent to the point the levels are just cityscapes that you have to slither through

Those abilities are in the pods, that he destroyed to get. Inside, the facility.
@@ezra5325 I know, it's a laboratory for god's sake they ought to have some more stuff like that in there and experimenting with the creature or other things, that doesn't necessarily mean that it was his original body, in fact it proves otherwise. those pods contain abilities that allow the creature to manipulate its body in multiple ways, that could potentially include it being able to shapeshift as we see in the end where it completely turns into a person via these abilities.

Animated horror movies is just an underrated style. Like, with normal movies you're stuck with whatever you can make. So nothing too large for the scene, since too much effort and wouldn't fit in the shot. It can't move too fast if its big enough in most cases, but animated movies can explore a whole another plane of horror
I've played and 100% this game. it's incredibly fun and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it already
