It shouldn’t have issues on any system released in the last 10 years. A few questions: 1. What version of Aleph One are you trying to run it on? (You shouldn’t try to run this mod on anything before version 1.6, and you should really upgrade to the latest version if you haven’t.) 2. Have you enabled at least 60 fps interpolation? (If not, I highly recommend it. 120 fps and uncapped will have slightly more latency; 60 fps is a sweet spot between relatively low latency and relatively smooth graphics.) 3. Are you using software mode or OpenGL? (I highly recommend OpenGL if you can get it to run; software will be substantially slower.) 4. If you’re using mouse, have you adjusted your mouse sensitivity, and are you using modern, classic, or custom mouse feel?
In addition to what Aaron (the channel owner) said, I would also suggest to try turning off Bloom. Normally I wouldn't recommend that because ApX looks better with Bloom in my opinion, but in my case turning off Bloom gives a huge boost to performance. -ReaperAA
Bloom does require the game to render every scene twice, so disabling it _can_ have a huge impact on performance… _but_ I’d only recommend doing so as an absolute last resort if nothing else works. Bloom is absolutely essential to ApX’s aesthetics - I'd sooner turn off anisotropy or even reduce the screen resolution than disable bloom.
Well, go for a good video!
Is AlephOne poorly optimized? Can't get this mod to run smoothly 😥
