Sam Sheffer Not things like led lights that I can DIY, but accessories like extra tubes, tires, battery of course, spare calipers for the disc breaks and even an airless tire that have the feature your new 105s have. I’ve seen a scooter with puncture proof tires like that. Sounds like my wish list airs more towards spare parts than accessories. A big fan bro, love your reviews. Peace!
Props to the helmet message. I've been Boostedboarding for 3 years with no crashes. Last month, I hopped on my friend's son's non-EV push scooter. The front wheel jammed in a crevice of the parking lot and sent me over the handle bars while I was going 1-2 mph. I'm definitely glad I was wearing my helmet.
I already use the Shred Lights SL 200 on my Stealth riding through NYC at night, however the board-remote integration and brake lights on the Boosted Beams sold me on the first day... now patiently waiting for them to arrive.
much needed video on both new products. $200 seems like a lot of money for the lights compared to other third party options. but the software and hardware integration seems to be the big seller.
Great video, it justified my order of the wheels, was hoping someone would review soon. Look forward to trying. Lights look great, might be a new year purchase.
Hi Sam, I’m looking to get 105s on my mini. Boosted recommends that you tighten trucks to prevent wheel bite. Or possibly add risers. Would that work or will wheel bite still occur?
I’ve had my lights ordered for about a week and a half now. I cannot wait for them to arrive! Just impatiently waiting the 3-4 week shipping timeframe. Ouch.
I completely agree with you. I don’t currently own a boosted board because of the large sum of money you need for these, but I think you hit the nail on the head with this informational video!
Terrific review Sam, really informative and well done. just realized why the vid looks familiar based on another comment. Worthy successor to that studio
I've been using the Stealth for a few months now, and was just thinking about finding bigger wheels! Perfect timing! I live in NZ, and the suburb roads can sometimes be very rough. Time to save up I guess!
Would like to know how to possibly add the 105s to the Mini. Obviously you're gonna need even more risers to prevent wheelbite, but how many risers and how big should they be, is what I'm asking?
I think the holes aren't just for added cushion, but to save weight. I'm curious to know what the weight difference is between the 105s and the 85s. Does the board still suffer from overheating with the 105s?
Riding through NYC the Stealth’s mode 5 acceleration is clutch for me. It’s super beneficial coming out of red lights, navigating through traffic, passing bikes, or putting some safety distance by accelerating. Using the Boosted 105s does it feel like using one of the lower riding modes in terms of acceleration?
Hey I have an question... Could anylone give me some advice on this. So when I go to classes a boosted stealth would be a bit to big for me to take with me and te boosted mini x would probably be my go to. Would it be recommend to have the Boosted mini X with the 105 wheels and the lights? Thanks anyway :)
Very interested in the 105s, but what kind of battery hit have you noticed? I ride a Stealth in MPLS. Modes 2 and 3 can get me to work at my 8-9 mile distance on the stock 85s. Do you think the 105s would be pushing it?
@Sam Sheffer please make a video where you install the 105s on the boosted mini. I have a boosted mini x and I think the wheels could be really handy but I don't wanna risk it them not working the mini. Boosted said you just gotta be more careful
I know the mini x with the 105s suffers from wheel bite with standard risers but the mini would benefit from the 105s the most. I've had my Mini X thrown out into the middle of the road because I hit a double manhole cover on Regent Street in London. Having 105s on the Mini X would make riding on bumpy London roads that must easier.
I wish they made new wheels with the squishy holes for the Mini-X. That thing takes a bit of a toll on my knees without having any board flex. It's not killing me, but a little relief might be nice. Thanks for the very helpful video, Sam. I gotta get those lights. I like how the back light lights of the full width of the Mini.
When I was in NYC with a v1 my major complaint was not having any sort of cushion for even the smallest of bumps. These new wheels seem like they solve that problem somewhat.
Have you try using the 105 on the Mini? It says on boosted site it’s fine but I worry about bite.I definitely want to get both as riding in queens and Brooklyn sucks cause of the random potholes
Hello Sam, can you charge your Stealth to 100 % and then turn on your lights for like 1 hour ? (Without ridding) and then tell us % on the stealth battery ?
The sad part is I literally JUST bought the v2 shred lights before these were released. $100 cheaper but the boosted integration may be worth that price increase.
Have you tried putting the wheels on the mini x? They don't advise it it on the website because they could touch the board when you are turning, but maybe that's not a problem when using the risers provided by the lights? I just purchased a mini x and wanted to put the wheels on it as I'll be riding in London which is also full of potholes.
Great video man. Nice audio quality. You didn’t mention 105s + Mini X. I know boosted says it’s not very safe but I would like to know your thoughts or maybe test it?
Hey Sam, I know Boosted site doesn’t recommend installing the bigger wheels on the mini and mini x. Can you add the bigger wheels to the mini and mini x with the front and rear lights installed due to the extra height?
5V/3A would be 15 watts, which is three times more powerful than the 5 watt charger that Apple shipped with iPhones prior to the 11 Pro.
thanks for the correction
Yeah
Sam Sheffer very thorough bro. What is your opinion on boosted ever releasing a longer range battery and accessories for the Rev?
I hope boosted does an XXR battery for the boards - what accessories would you want for the rev?
Sam Sheffer Not things like led lights that I can DIY, but accessories like extra tubes, tires, battery of course, spare calipers for the disc breaks and even an airless tire that have the feature your new 105s have. I’ve seen a scooter with puncture proof tires like that. Sounds like my wish list airs more towards spare parts than accessories. A big fan bro, love your reviews.

I know the studio is Casey’s but you and your videos remind me of a younger Casey I love it
Boosted are essentially adding suspension with the wheels
Props to the helmet message. I've been Boostedboarding for 3 years with no crashes. Last month, I hopped on my friend's son's non-EV push scooter. The front wheel jammed in a crevice of the parking lot and sent me over the handle bars while I was going 1-2 mph. I'm definitely glad I was wearing my helmet.
I want to say, I like the way you just jump into the video.
my man
Whenever I watch these videos it just makes me want to move to NYC even more
The active brake lights are a really good idea. I wish it had a bit more contrast though, or flashed a bit, but maybe it looks different IRL.
it’s a bit more noticeable IRL - hard to balance camera brightness with lights at night :)
inboard had this on the M1 from the get go years ago -- lights are a must have
The front lights are 3x as bright as shred lights.
@@jib14k Yeah, look where inboard is now... Maybe if they would have charged $200 extra for the lights feature they would still exist today lmao.
@@quantumphoam7784 this comment didn't age well
great shots while on the road! Love the videos Sam
I've been waiting this video since they announced the wheels and the beams. Fellow NYC riders rejoice.
Gotta say, the clear vocal audio while riding is great. Appreciate the effort :-)
I already use the Shred Lights SL 200 on my Stealth riding through NYC at night, however the board-remote integration and brake lights on the Boosted Beams sold me on the first day... now patiently waiting for them to arrive.
The best (most trusted) reviewer on the Internet. Thank you.
thanks Charles
Thank you for the vid sir! I had been waiting for your review on both of these accessories. Happy Holidays! :)
hey Alex - my pleasure, happy holidays
love the shot with the mini in the purple background!
Perfect, congratulations Sam for the video and congratulations Boosted for the idea!!!
Casually just wearing snap glasses. That's the most Sam Sheffer thing I've ever seen I love it
Oh and biggest benefit of the USB pass through is being able to charge your remote! Great addition.
I’ve been waiting for this video since the lights were announced. Great job.
much needed video on both new products. $200 seems like a lot of money for the lights compared to other third party options. but the software and hardware integration seems to be the big seller.
The lights sell for $1,000 now
after my one wheel i will buy the boosted , thx Sam. wish i had met you in Manhattan , maybe next time
Thanks Sam. Thought I was finished with Black Friday shopping.
hehe
I'd like a test of the 105s with the boosted mini.
wheel bite
@@samsheffer well..... can it be done though?
@@landonlove4101 probably with risers?
Thanks for the review Sam! excellent
:-)
Great video Sam, thumbs up....
Take care man.
I don't even have a Boosted and I'm watching this. Great video, Sam!
Great video, it justified my order of the wheels, was hoping someone would review soon. Look forward to trying. Lights look great, might be a new year purchase.
Pretty cool review, but I mean come on!! $360 for wheels and a light. I’m almost buying another mini S. Yes it’s from boosted but it’s kinda of pricy.
Have a Mini X, and just bought a Stealth I can’t wait to get them 105’s!
same I got the 25% off on the boosted plus the only thing is I have to wait 4 weeks for them to ship
The studio is lookin sick my dude!!!
Hi Sam, I’m looking to get 105s on my mini. Boosted recommends that you tighten trucks to prevent wheel bite. Or possibly add risers. Would that work or will wheel bite still occur?
risers will help with clearance but having risers and bigger wheels your gunna be significantly higher off the ground.
Yesss. Was waiting on Sam to release a video about these. Hopefully a deal pops up for these new accessories.
I’ve had my lights ordered for about a week and a half now. I cannot wait for them to arrive! Just impatiently waiting the 3-4 week shipping timeframe. Ouch.

Here 1:13 You can see how Casey absolutely destroyed that wall with a drill because he needed to mount something tightly. :D
I might have missed it but what is the range with the wheels and lights?
Terrific review Sam, really informative and well done. just realized why the vid looks familiar based on another comment. Worthy successor to that studio
that transition to Beams with Beme in the background 👍🏽
Evolve needs to step their game up! Good stuff boosted!!!! Evolve owner here
Finally after 3 years 🙌
Great review. I’ve ordered the 105s after watching this!
amazing
@@samsheffer Sam, do you have any ideas on how much the range reduces with the 105s?
Sorry... found it in the comments below --> you estimate 15-20%. Thanks!
I've been using the Stealth for a few months now, and was just thinking about finding bigger wheels! Perfect timing! I live in NZ, and the suburb roads can sometimes be very rough. Time to save up I guess!
When is boosted going to give mini x hyper and pro mode.
How does the ride of 105s compare with the 120mm purple foamies?
would love to know this as well
What about the 105's on the Mini. Wheel bite?
wheel bite
Would you suggest someone who has the shredlights to switch over? Or is it not worth the money?
Nice video, Sam!
Loved the video. Love the channel. Love the creator. Fantastic content 🌟
a lot of riders are reporting a lot of vibrations with the 105s! what is your weight sam?
Does the added space between the board and trucks that the lights add do anything to handling, ride, etc?
eh not really, it’s minimal - the ride feels much different with the bigger wheels
cool to see a video in the new studio :)
Awesome review thanks Sam.
You are great sam spatially when you end it with the safety ,
Mini + Beams (incl. the risers) + 105s. Does it work?
Would like to know how to possibly add the 105s to the Mini. Obviously you're gonna need even more risers to prevent wheelbite, but how many risers and how big should they be, is what I'm asking?

With the bigger wheels and lights it will go for 4 miles....
Thank you for this review! I just ordered a stealth

Dude...what camera are you vlogging with while riding, that close up is so so crispy!
Hey Sam since it's impossible to find these wheels right now, do you know of any good or comparable alternative?
I keep an eye out for you every time I'm in NYC, sadly never a sighting☹️....one day...
Will the wheels work with the boosted mini x? What if I add a riser, maybe the riser that come w the lights is enough?
They need to increase the range too!!!
How would the tail light work with the stock tail puck for the mini s/x. Do I need to buy the clear tail puck as well?
The sad part is I literally JUST bought the v2 shred lights before these were released. $100 cheaper but the boosted integration may be worth that price increase.
This man's waring spectacles 3 now I applaud that 😎 I got them too
how much softer/better is the ride with boosted's 105mm vs something like the 85mm caguamas?
Beautiful review thanks fam

Loved this video! Thanks for this :) and also which Nikes’ are you rocking? They look so cool 😍
Supreme x Nike from a season or two ago
I’ve got 7k miles on my v2..think I should upgrade to the stealth?
What about install beam and the 105 wheels on the mini X at the same time since the beam come with risers, will wheel bite still happen?
I ride a Meepo NLS Pro with SL-200 Shredlights, but those Boosted lights are damn nice 👍🏼
What sort of range drop should I expect with the 105s?
Oh hell yea
Have you tried the 105s on the Mini? Boosted says they don’t advise it because of wheel bite but I’d like to see how bad it looks lol
Love the synthwave outro
Do you believe that boosted will make more accessories? Also why all this delay on giving us lights? the ports exist from V2 version
Great video 👍
Can you run the rear light without the front and vice versa. I know you have to buy them all together, but I like my shredlights, alot.
Nice review Sam. Were you filming this in Nov 20? I though I saw you and another rider cruising down Prince St that night.
Did I just see that the lights are made in Singapore? They don’t even sell the BoostedBoard here in Singapore?!
Does the board need the latest firmware enable for the lights to function ?
Great video man. Nice audio quality. You didn’t mention 105s + Mini X. I know boosted says it’s not very safe but I would like to know your thoughts or maybe test it?
Great review, have you tried out the wheels on the mini?
Hm, even though this is old and probably fixed already. 6:38. The app reads, "only when swiched on" Someone did an oopsy.
The lights are great! 👍 105's are too big and I live in Los Angeles. I Suggest Ollin Popoca 90mm wheels. Best wheels for size/speed/breaking combo.
Hey Sam, I know Boosted site doesn’t recommend installing the bigger wheels on the mini and mini x. Can you add the bigger wheels to the mini and mini x with the front and rear lights installed due to the extra height?
Hey No wonder they made then mini s tail puck clear for the red light looks clean 👍👍
Quick question. Can you put the bigger wheels on a boosted mini?
