So the trouble with Glaucoma is you don't have any symptoms early on because it only affects your very far peripheral vision early, so if you don't come in and get screened is easy not to notice it until it is fairly advanced, and that makes it much more difficult to treat whereas if you pick it up early, it's pretty easy to treat, most patients in those cases just need one or two eye drops, and that maintains good vision.
Every year when you have a birthday, your risk of eye diseases like Glaucoma does go up, so Cataracts, Glaucoma, and Macular Degeneration are more common in people as we have more birthdays, unfortunately.
